John Travolta is an accomplished American actor who first gained popularity in the 1970s. He rose to fame with his roles in iconic television series Welcome Back, Kotter (1975–1979) and box office hits like Carrie (1976), Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978), and Urban Cowboy (1980). Despite a decline in his career during the 1980s, Travolta made an impressive comeback in the 1990s with his role in Pulp Fiction (1994) and starred in numerous successful films since.
