~ TAKARA TOMY TOKYO TOY SHOW 2015 LGEX G2 BLACK LASER CONVOY OPTIMUS PRIME SCOURGE

Finally, added this Convoy mold in my collection. This is TOKYO TOY SHOW 2015 LIMITED version. The united series has released two times including a rerun for TAKARA TOMY version of orginal color Optimus Prime but the color scheme of United version doesn't suit my taste especially the gray part. So, I skipped red version. However, the black version is totally awesome. I almost click buy it now at eBay early this year for the TFCC version but luckily I hold back as the TFCC version cost about USD120-150 including shipping to Malaysia. That's a "boom" price tag for a deluxe figure. I am happy to get this black convoy at affordable price. I prefer this color scheme and looks more mean compared to Hasbro TFCC version. The metallic teal color is always a trademark of Nemesis prime. I am not sure why they call this Black convoy instead of Nemesis prime or SCOURGE as in G2. This version carries the G2 logo. The articulations are awesome. It has waist joint, feet joints and double wrist joints which most TF figures don't have. Another great Transformer that you should not miss. This is the 7th Nemesis Prime in my collection. I am still searching for the mammoth version of Nemesis prime. Regretted that I did not purchased the Beast Mammoth last time.

~ TAKARA TOMY TRANSFORMERS LG13 MEGATRON COMBINER WARS

         This is one of the best Megatron released so far. The size,color and design of robot mode is close to G1 mode except of its alternate mode is battle tank. I like the silver painting on this figure which gives it a luxury feel. Then, the face sculpt is almost similar to G1 Homage. Excellent ! I must say. I love big size transformers figures.
         This LG13 Megatron is standing at almost 10" tall as a leader class figure. It looks perfectly fine when display at beside of MP10 Optimus Prime or MP Soundwave. It has all the basic leader class joints. I can see improvement of this figure is his head can look up ! Besides that, not much visible hollow space can be seen on this figure and the back kibble is neat.  One of the downside is his feet limited feet joint. How nice if he has feet joints that can swivel left or right for better action pose. The Hasbro and TAKARA TOMY version has not much major difference. The Hasbro version has more red parts particulary on the shoulder, joints and bullet. I still recommend to get TAKARA TOMY version which is more G1 accurate in terms of color if you don't mind spending a little bit more extra. I will take more photos when I have more time to explore this figure. :) A must have ! Don't miss it.

~ What is JAPAN VERSION ? Is JAPAN VERSION better?

What is Japan versions? Why many people ask about Japan version? Is Japan verion better? Have you asked or heard other collectors mention about Japan version for toys? OK, let me give a clearer picture what Japan version actually means. "Japan version" mostly applied to Bandai brand figures. It was used to describe a Kamen Rider toys product line called Super Imaginative Chogokin a.k.a. S.I.C. It was later used to described other toy lines such as Figuarts. Actually, Japan version toys also made in China. The stock that supply to Japan region is called Japan version. There were rumors back in year 2006 mentioned that Japan version has stricter quality control in terms of paint application and finishing. Based on my own experience, generally Japan version has better QC but still not 100% guarantee the stocks from Japan is perfect. Some has flaws too. How do you identified Japan version stock? Basically, Japan stock has no additional white stickers and Bandai region hologram sticker on the box. Recent stocks released by Bandai Japan has double tapes on the box, I guessed these are the sign of QC by QC department. However, the finishing is still not as good as the old released figures that I observed.

~ Hasbro Leader Class Transformers Generation JETFIRE 2014 (Robot mode)

I am going to do a quick review for this figure. I bought this figure yesterday and it was released as AEON exclusives in Malaysia. The moment I heard it was released, I quickly grab it without any hesitation. The figure design looks great almost similar to G1. I am glad Jetfire is released as Leader class. I am satisfied with the detail. It looks simple and clean with shinny chrome parts. The cockpit is detail which has 2 seats. It also comes with detachable battle mask. However, there are a few cons in this figure. Hasbro seriously cut down a lot of production cost for this figure. No electronic parts, hollow holes on the thigh and arms, no wrist articulations, no waist articulations, it is surprisingly that this figure is not heavy. Actually, this Jetfire looks more like a oversize Voyager class figure. Last but not least, paint chipping issues always there for a figure comes with chrome parts even it is freshly removed from packaging. My unit suffered a few chipping, a more serious chip on the back pack. If you are worry about chrome chipping issue, you might consider to get the Takara version which will be released soon in 3 months time. Overall, this is still a great figure for G1 fans !!!

I acquired another 2 seekers member Ramjet and Thrust from Wave 3. They looks slightly different compared to Dirge. Kre O finally use the proper connector for the back pack without blocking the chest. Now the 2 new members looks better.

Beware that the KO bootleg stocks has reached our shore. Be alert !!! Do not be deceived by the cheap price tag !!! As usual pirated copies have lower quality. You can check the video review of comparison between the authentic and KO.

This is one of the latest released characters from Kreo mini blind pack series. This is from the second series, ignore the preview edition. Perceptor has angry face. The body detailing looks really detail and the alternate mode which is the microscope looks kinda funny but cute. :)

~ NEWS: KO Bootleg Transformers Masterpiece MP12 Sideswipe Lambo

According to Seibertron.com, there are fake or bootleg copies of MP12 Sideswipe which are going to release into the market. The main big issues here are the box and figure look so identical to the real one. They even have the almost same carton box from Takara Tomy. Some rumors said these bootleg might be the reject stocks  or stolen parts from the factory. These items apparently popped up in China website Taobao and some Ebay store. Another rumors saying that those KO factory might possible having KO MP10 Convoy and MP13 Soundwave "under development". I hate bootleg especially if the seller are very dishonest and sell them same as the authentic product price. Beware when you are going to buy one !!!
