This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Jeanne supplied a bunch of great reference photos.
The reference photo was of a large group of geese. Wanted to get close, so I cut out most of the flock/gaggle and
moved the one on the far right in closer to tighten the grouping.
Mostly all painting knife with a little help from the brushes in the tight spots.
I had a lot of fun playing with those "white colors".

I first covered the panel with white gesso, then applied thinned alizarin acrylic ....then painted the background using black gesso. I find that the alizarin provides a good mid value to judge added values against. And colors really "pop" against the black gesso. Hope some of that makes sense...Lol.
