GAYLUSSITE
Specimen gay-1

$ 30.00
Dims: 1.9 x 1.1 x 0.8" (4.9 x 2.8 x 2.0 cm)
Wt: 13 g
Searles Lake, Trona, San Bernardino County, California, U.S.A.
A cluster of warped Gaylussite crystals comprises this hand specimen. These crystals are in good condition, showing little fresh damage, and are mostly warped and incomplete due to growth restrictions and old damage. The longest of these reaches 1.8" (4.7 cm) and likely has the best form. All are coated with a dull, white crust, but where this crust has chipped away one can see their colorlessness, transparence and pearly-to-waxy luster. They appear to be quite clear. There is no base or host material present.
