Trump Opens RNC With Claims the Election Will Be Stolen

Donald Trump opened the RNC today claiming the Democrats are using COVID-19 to steal the election.

There is no reason to watch any further, in my opinion. Does anyone need to hear from these three who are also on the speaking agenda this week:

Donald Trump is banking on the politics of fear. The Republican convention will be filled with images of tanks, protesters setting things on fire, and praises for the police. Donald Trump reportedly has hired the Apprentice producers to stage it. He should have gotten Law and Order creator Dick Wolf. [More...]

Americans should be fearful, but not of each other. They should be afraid because their country is like a rudderless ship, with Donald Trump trying to find the helm, which is always beyond his reach.

This is what is within reach in November, if people come out to vote.

We get the Government we elect.

I would say this is going to be a good week for the Biden/Harris campaign.

And probably a good week for Netflix.

A senior GOP strategist, who is not a "Never Trumper" and often gives the president the benefit of the doubt, tells me: "If what we just heard is a preview of the President's message for the week, he loses and we lose. We can kiss the Senate goodbye if the tone doesn't change."

Not sure why "Bonnie & Clyde" were chosen to talk about the suburbs at the RNC. They do not live in the suburbs. They live in a gated community in an affluent area of St. Louis City.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey, residents of St. Louis, Mo., who brandished firearms at Black Lives Matter protesters who had trespassed in their gated community, warned that Democrats want to abolish suburbs in their speech to the Republican National Convention.
