Global chic is all the rage these days. What is
global chic? Global chic (sometimes called eclectic) is "
to combine elements or particular styles from different time periods and different origins within a single project." according to
Mykola Steponyuk, which pretty much, sums it up. It's mixing different design styles to achieve a unique look.
Now please understand, that doesn't mean you just throw pieces of furniture and accessories together and expect it to work? It won't!! You still have to have some elements to tie it all together, like color, fabric or finishes! The over all look, if done correctly is beautiful and unique!!
