May craft class

Here's our makes from May's class. We had a male theme this month. A lot of people struggle with ideas for male cards, so I devoted a whole class to it.

Here's a couple of close ups.

Thanks for looking and happy crafting.

August craft class makes

Evening, this post should go live just as I'm running the first of my October craft classes in Carterton. I thought I'd share our August class makes.
This includes one of my favourite decorations which were a big hit with those at the class.

This is a beautiful hanging we made by decorating a wicker heart I bought from The Range. We used a variety of flower punches, embossed the flowers then layered them. Some people chose to decorate using a large butterfly inplace of the owl and one lady even chose to change the sentiment to a Christmas one which worked brilliantly as she also added a red Santa hat to the owl.

This was our technique card using masking, I gave my ladies a choice to colour the images in using blender pens whilst others decided to leave it plain.

And finally a birthday card with a Lego theme. We also made another birthday card using the large happy birthday stamp, you can see a picture of this in the first photo.

Happy crafting and to join in at a future craft class please get in touch.

Classes in Carterton will resume in March

I am currently having a short break from running craft classes and hope the next classes will run in Carterton:

March 6th: 7 - 9.30pm
March 11th: 7 - 9.30pm

This is due to the arrival of our little girl, expected at the end of January.

I am still taking orders and I'm very happy to answer any of your Stampin Up questions.

January Craft Classes

These are the things we made at the January craft classes in Carterton. We made 3 cards and a box, I had a theme of using a brayer in all but one of the projects.

The first card we masked off the moon/sun and used a brayer and bashful blue ink to create the sky. We used the summer silhoutes stamp set and the 'make a wish' stamp from the sweet essentials stamp set. The effect of the flowers and make a wish was created using re-inkers dropped onto an baby wipe to create an ink pad. We also added a ribbon and butterfly.

For the second card we used the same stamp sets again and used an embossing folder to create the pattern at the bottom using the brayer to transfer the pattern from the inked up embossing folder to the card. It was finished off with gems, ribbon and glitter.

For the last card I gave people a bit of a choice of either a birthday or valentines card and in two different colourways. Both cards used the up, up and away stamp set.

This was the 3D item we made using the SU milkcarton die. We die out two cartons, but chopped off one of the panels, then after scoring we joined both of the three panel shapes together. The letter on the front was made using embossing in clear embossing powder and then going over the top with a brayer in rose red ink. The excess ink was wiped off the letter to reveal the letter.

Thanks to everyone that came. I'm now starting to think about makes for the next class in Carterton which will be on the 7th Feb 7 - 9.30pm. It'll include using the sale-a-bration products which are part of a fabulous promotion that starts on 22nd Jan.

Thanks for stoppping by.
