Sending Birthday Wishes...

Hey friends! Good afternoon! I hope your FRIDAY is going great! I have to mention a Happy Birthday to one of my favorite authors of all time Dr. Seuss! My kids have been talking about this birthday for a few weeks...and were SO excited this morning! We did have a "seussical" breakfast, green eggs and thing one and thing two cake batter pancakes! My kids loved our fun breakfast...and it made me giggle! After school we've got a Horton Hears a Who movie viewing and some fun "seussical" activities...Thanks for a wonderful collection of memories Dr. Seuss!!

So, my card today is a little something we made at my card class a couple of weeks ago. The kids at the elementary LOVED this one! Can you guess their favorite part!? Yes, the glittered clouds were a hit!

I used Mat stack 4 and the layerz mat stack 4 for the fun shaped frame for the kite. The kite is from LAD, and I love it! The birthday wishes sentiment is from PTI, everyday button bits set.

For the glittered clouds, I used some adhesive paper and cloud die. We simply pulled the liner off the adhesive and then dipped the cloud into the glitter! The girls all really loved this bit!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! We're hoping to make it to see the Lorax tomorrow..oh, the fun! Take care and thanks for stopping by!!

Um, I got some new paper and it was calling my name! I wanted a card that could showcase this great polka dot pattern...have I told you lately that I LOVE polka dots? It's hard to see well in the photo, but the Sun and the sun-beams have been glitified...and sparkle so pretty!!
Anyway, nice clean and fresh colors and a nice clean sketch! Those combinations always cook something delicious, don't you think!? My paper is Aqua Mist patterned and cardstock, Lemon Tart cardstock from PTI. My stamp is called Sunny Day, from GRS.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you'd like to play along with the GRS girls, and ME, make a card and share it on the GRS Facebook page...we'd love to have you join us!

This weekend is the 25th, which means it's reveal time for the NEW Diner's Club set! You'll LOVE it, I've had a great time working with it and have some fun happiness to share, so stay tuned!

You Rock!

Hey friends! Happy Monday! Wow, May 2nd...and we had a sunny day yesterday! Maybe we'll get another one here...we've had some not so warm spring weather, it doesn't feel like May at all! Hope that the sky is kind to you and yours...where ever you may be!!

I've got a fun something to share today, I love this guitar! It is from the Tweens and Teens set, from LAD. I love that it's just fun!! I have been known to use this phrase once or twice in my day...;).
I have also rediscovered my love for Hambly screens...and acknowledge the fact that I don't have near enough of them!!

Hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by...You Rock!

LAD DT Challenge!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! I've got some fun to share today...Did you have a great St. Patrick's Day?! We spent the morning yesterday making rainbow cupcakes and frosting them and making little shamrock picks with tooth-picks. I don't have a shamrock punch...I think that would be a good investment for me to make! My girls had a lot of fun...and olny suffered for a minor sugar overload!;)

Today is the LAD DT Challenge, and the challenge this month was to make a baby card and find some inspiration from pottery barn kids! Well, I did just that! I had a great time dreaming of several different baby rooms...but this one caught my eye! The thing that caught me most was the great name plate for Sophie! So here is the wonderful photo that got the wheels in my head turning....here is a link to the room on their site.

And here is my card! I loved the non-traditional baby colors! I used Basic Gray from SU, Plum Pudding from PTI, Black and some beautiful polka dot paper from SU. I cut out my flourished frame with my Silhouette. I used some nestabilities--circle and scallop circle to make a mat for my "B" from the LAD Mix, Follow Your Dreams. Very up-town baby palette, don't you agree? Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the LAD blog and see the fun things the other designers have in store for us today...it's always so fun to see what everyone comes up with!! Make it great!!

Forgetting...

Good Morning friends! I hope you slept well...something a new mother often wishes for. I have to say that Max is a great baby and I'm not up crazy hours in the night. He usually wakes up once to eat, but goes right back to sleep...and I am so thankful for that! I've been thinking about my age...I'm just one of those "thirty somethings" that HONESTLY has to really think hard about how old I am!

When I saw this "Ageless" stamp from LAD it made me giggle a bit. I'm not trying to lie about my age, I just often in all honesty, forget what it is! I don't feel any older-or wiser for that matter-than I did 10 years ago...and my mom has informed me that she still feels the same way she did when she was years younger...age, it's a funny thing isn't it!?
I used this fun October Afternoon paper, a Fiskars scalloped scallop border pounch, a flower die from SU and a bit of tulle on this card. This sentiment is one of the new singles released this month from LAD.

**I was really excited to discover a long forgotten note book with hundreds (honest planet, there are TONS!) of card sketches! This card is inspired by one of them...I say again, YEA for sketches!!

I hope you have a fantastic day!! Thanks so much for sharing a few of your precious moments with me! Take care and make it great!!

Hope is...

Good morning and happy Monday!! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had some wonderful springtime weather on Saturday, cleaned out the car, rode bikes, colored with sidewalk chalk...and the kids got all sorts of muddy!! I'm so happy to see little flowers staring to pop out of the mud...I love springtime!!
Today I've got my take on the LAD sketch challenge for last week. The sketch can be found here, on the LAD blog. Taylor did a great job...it's so fun to work with great creative people!! Anyway, I love that a sketch can inspire something...it doesn't have to be exactly like the sketch, but just having some idea to start from...love it!! The sentiment is one of the new March Singles from LAD, it's called Hope. My paper polka dot paper is Amy Butler and my cardstock vanilla and Basic Gray from SU.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I've got more to share this week, so see you soon!! Make it great!

Just one more...

Good morning friends. I have just one more of these fun blooms...I made this for a friend that had a b.day last week...love this color combination!!
I stuck with the same paper, from Crate Paper and added some Raspberry Fizz. You can't tell in the photo, but irl, you can see the lace I stamped from the Timeless Textures stamp set...it's really great looking in real life! Sorry, I just couldn't get it to show up well in the photo! The sentiment is from Perfect Phrases.

Have a great one...thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hey There!

Good afternoon/evening friends! I hope you are doing well! We've only got one sick child in the house and I'm getting excited that we might be rid of the nasty virus! I've been so amazed at how long I feel we've had sickness in our house...SO unusual!! I'm hoping that we're almost done...here's to hoping!

I've got something fun to share today! I've been thinking about using my Silhouette to cut some flowers, I have a beautiful 3-d bloom in my library and I wanted to finally use it! While my little Max was sleeping and Ruby was happy watching her barbie movie in her bed(her sickness hasn't slowed her down hardly at all, so I was happy she would lay down and watch for a little while!), I sat down to make one of these beautiful blooms!
I cut the bloom out of some crate paper...isn't it a delicious flower!? I love the silhouette and am so excited to learn how to use it more! I added a bit of lace--isn't that lace stamp awesome!? It is from the new Timeless Textures stamp set from LAD. I stamped it in Raspberry Fizz ink onto the Summer Sunrise paper. My sentiment stamp is from the Perfect Phrases stamp set, also from LAD.
I've come to the conclusion that I've got to get to work on my "studio" again...is it the fact that the sun is shining? I've been having the urge to vacuum under the beds, clean out drawers, and now my studio space is driving me crazy! I'm looking for new furniture--maybe some office furniture? But I'm not sure exactly what I want yet! What is your favorite thing about your work space?
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great one!!

Kiss Kiss...

Good morning friends...hope you're doing well this morning! We went to bed last night to light snow falling...love this crazy winter weather!!

I've got a little something to share from the "Lucky in Love" Winter Mix. I love this pretty little heart...and the "kiss kiss" is sure to make for several great valentines!!
The paper I used for this card is from MMe, isn't it just delicious!? I'm really liking the combination and a little different than expected valentine colors!

I'm off to make some hot chocoalte and keep everyone warm and cozy!! Have a great one and thanks for stopping by!!

Plane Fun

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! We're having a bit of FREEZING weather...and I'm happy to be at home today...staying nice and warm! Here in the NW we don't usually get such cold weather for so long...rain yes, but not this freezing stuff!! Thankful for my heat dish today!

I have a fun little card to share that is made with a fun image from the Winter 2011 Mix, Lucky in Love! Isn't that plane great!? I know this plane will see a lot of places..it's pefect for several of the boys-young and old-in my family!
I paired the plane image with a sentiment from another LAD set, Things That Go. Which happens to be another GREAT boyish type set, but could be used for eithe boys or girls depending! I used some MME Alphabet Soup paper and sprinkled on a few PTI buttons...quick and to the point!

Hope you are staying warm and enjoying yourself today! Thanks for stopping by! Make it a great one!

Time...

Time, how fast it goes!! I'm really working on figuring out how to get the things all accomplished in a timely manner...I just want to play with my baby all day long! I have to admit that I've been smitten and am hopelessly in love with him! We are having so much fun with him! My heart melted last night...he was laying on my bed and I started talking to him and he LAUGHED at me! I got a big smile and then he laughed several times at/with me! I don't know if there is anything in the world more wonderful that the laughter of a newborn babe! I had to share...and here's a photo of my sweet Max,
He is growing like a weed, eating and sleeping like a CHAMP and I am just in heaven friends!!

Onto other things...I've got a card to share today with a new single from LAD, it's called Wise Man's Treasure. I think it's a great image...I wanted it make a more masculine feeling card...and this paper just fit the bill. It's from Basic Grey. Time...I'm working on getting a better hold on this for the coming year. I want to make sure I'm spending my time on things that are really worth while and that will help me become better. I want to capture my sweet moments...and remember them for always! I am working hard to treasure my time and make sure it is well spent....as it goes faster than I'd like I know this will be a daily work in progress!!

Thanks for stopping by friends...have a wonderful day, well spent!!

Hot Dog!

Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a good week. It's amazing how out of our regular routine we've been...with new baby and being out of school for two weeks...today was rough! I was the not so nice mommy that made everyone get back into doing their jobs...that wasn't fun for anyone! We did have fun once we all got our jobs done...here's to hoping tomorrow brings with it a few more smiles about "routine"!

I've made a resolve...to MAIL my cards again! I've gotten into a rut, to just make most of them and then they sit...NOT in 2011! I'm going back to my roots and make cards to send to people I love! Coming from a large family (Max was grandchild 43 for my parents!) we've got plenty of people that love a little something special in the mailbox on their b.day! With facebook, email and texting, it's easy to say happy birthday--but those little special nuggets in the mailbox are SO much fun to receive, that I'm really excited to get myself back into the habit!

So, here is one of the first cards going out tomorrow. I think this stamp set is one of my all time favorites from LAD...it's called Party Animals. It's been around a long time...and I think it is a super great kids/easy masculine/great girlie birthday set! Very versatile...if you ask me!:)
I paired up this "hot dog" with some fun animal print paper from sassafras...great bold colors for our first birthday of the new year!

I'm going to send more cards again...anyone else just find themselves hoarding what you create!?

I hope you have a great one...thanks a bundle for stopping by!! See you tomorrow!

Happy New Year!

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a great New Year celebration...2011 is here...wow! I'm excited for this new year, hoping to impove a few things about myself...so starting to think about what I want to be better at...make a few little goals, do you make resolutions!?

I've got a little fun from LAD today. This cute little image is one of the January singles, "Love you a latte"...isn't it a fun one!? This single was released on the 1st, you can pop over to the blog here, and see what else was released. It will be great for Valentine's Days, but I think it can just be a great "just because" image also. I'm really excited about it!:)
I paired it up with some delicious papers from MME, I love the colors in this collection...simply delicious!! This little one is off in the mail already...can't wait until February!

Hope you all have a great one...thanks so much for stopping by! I'm ready to get my daily posts (well, M-F) back running again...so thanks for being patient with me and sticking with me while I enjoy my little newborn. Who, by the way is no longer a tiny little newborn! He weighs over 14 lbs now and is just about 7 weeks old! He is so much fun...I'm seriously loving every second I get to hold him!

Thanks again for stopping by, have a great day!!

So Thankful!

Good morningn friends! Ican't believe it's been such a long time since my last post! I've been working on getting myself and my house ready for a new baby...just 11 days away today! My body is also taking charge of what I get accomplished or not, sitting down with my feet down isn't an activity that the body really enjoys right now! Sorry for the long delay in posting...but I hope you'll bear with me!;)

I want to share a couple of gifts that we made for my kids' teachers at school. We had these great smelling fall candles...and wrapped them up with great fallish paper, ribbons and gave them a little pilgrim image to share our gratitude for some fantastic teachers!! The images are from LAD, the little Pilgrim Girl is a single and the sentiments came from the Garden Inspirations stamp set.
I've got some fun in things to share...next week I'll be back to posting more often!! Thanks so much for being such great and supportive friends...I'm so thankful for all of you that share just a few minutes of your day with me!! Oh, and for those that think I've dropped off the planet and haven't stopped by for a while..my reader has about 800 items in it right now...I'm getting there....keep up the great inspiration!!:)

LAD Mix Preview!

Good morning friends! This is post #2 for today...so scroll down to see the Cardabilities Sketch reveal too!:) Today the October Mix "Sweet & Spooky" is being previewed over on the LAD blog! I think it could be my favorite Mix set to date...it's super delicious!!

I paired this great autumn image up with something else super fun..don't you love this great polka dot paper?! It's from the new Digital Paper pack, Autumn Mix, also being previewed today! It's a great pack of paper and perfect to have to print as much as you'd like to print! I love that feature of digital paper!

This next card is a "Lucy" Original. My sweet daughter fell in love with this mix!!

My newly 6 year old daughter made this card. She wanted to stamp with me and fell in love with the mix too...she wanted to make a "spooky" card. So, she went to town and made this card all by her self...and wanted me to take a photo of it and them make it so she could "see it on the computer." Didn't she do a great job!? I think it turned out great!

Ok, time to run. Have a great day and thanks a bunch for stopping by!!

Soccer Anyone?

Good Monday morning friends! Hope you had a great weekend! We had a good one, full of baseball, riding horses, and seeing long time friends that we love to pieces!! My son just started baseball and is so in LOVE with it all...it's so fun to watch him be so excited!! While I don't have a baseball "Little Person" from LAD, I wanted to share these fun little Soccer Guys...the image is one of the April Singles.
I used some of my new SU Sweet Pea paper, it is so delicous!! I paired up the Old Olive polka dots with some Aqua mist...and love how fresh they look together! I colored in my little sports star with some copics and then mounted him on some Aqua and Olive cardstock and then added some grass, from my MS grass border punch. The "You Rock My World" comes form the School Days stamp set from LAD.

For this second card, I stamped my soccer star onto a post-it, to make a mask and then stamped him again and again, making a little team of soccer stars! I think there could be more of these coming along the road...my son was SO excited to see this card...
I used the same sweet pea paper, but teamed it with Spring Rain and Not Quite Navy for my contrasting colors. I color the boys with copics, and then added a few stars. The "You're a star" comes from the "Out of this world" stamp set. My stars were made with my SU star punches.
Hope you are ready for a great week...here's to be really productive and on top of things...Spring Cleaning continues...Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care and make it great!!
