Thank You

Well, good morning friends!!! I hope you are doing well! Summer is almost over, we had a wonderful really long vacation and I have missed being at my desk doing what makes my heart so happy!! Missing paper and pretties is ok, right!!?

I am here sharing the new Retro Sketch for the week! It's a great one...

And here is my take on the sketch for the week! We went to a wonderful picnic with some families from my husband's work. It was a super fun party and my kids had a ball. The girl that planned it all was an awesome party planner!! I wanted to give her a little something for showing us such a good time, and thought a bright floral something would be perfect!!

So, I grabbed some bright colors...you know how much I love them!! I pulled out my flowers from Maggie Holmes, and started layering!! I used a PPP stitched tag die and then just layer it all up!! My sentiment is from PTI. I gotta say, I LOVE the different textures and prints in that pack of flowers from Maggie Holmes!!

Can't wait to see how your use the sketch this week!! Don't forget you have until next week to upload to the gallery!! Take Care, my faithful blogger buddies!!

Congrats!!

Good morning!!! I hope you are well!! I am not dead...nor have I fallen off the face of the earth!! We've had internet problems that made me want to throw my computer off the rooftop, end of school crazies, and now summer with my 5 sweet people home with me!!

I've cut way back on the amount of time I've been able to spend at my desk....my kids are in a place where they are requiring me more and I love that!!! But, it means my posting here will be a little less....just in case anyone still checks in here ever!!

I'm sharing the new sketch for the week, over at Retro Sketches!!!

And here is the card I created....it is time for several congrats envelops from our house these days!!! I wanted to keep this one masculine...which is always a slight stretch for me!!

I used some Altenew and PTI stamps. My stripped background was made with a Heidi Swapp stencil.

Hope you are having a wonderful summer!!! Enjoying the best of the beautiful weather, wonderful fruit offerings, and time with our families!!!

Take care friends!!

Happy Birthday!!

Well, hello there!!

I've got another card to share from my last birthday card order. This was the "girl/woman" card. I thought these beautiful Ellen Hutson floral images were perfect!! Seriously, don't you just love these florals!? And, knowing both Ellen and Julie, it makes my heart happy every time I reach for these stamps!!

I pulled out some PTI ink and went to town. Oh, and because I mass produced, I was EVER thankful for the MISTI! It made this process so quick!! Love that thing!!

I ended the card by adding a little strip of gold washi...oh how I love washi. I am getting so excited to get back to the large stash...my "temporary stash" is quite limited!!

Celebrate

Good morning! It is FINALLY the last day of school!!! Oh, I think we are the last kids in the country to get out of school!! To say that I am excited...well, I am!! I love having my people home--we are excited!! My kids are just thrilled. So, here is looking at couple quickly filled months of summer!!

I needed a quick little something the other day for a friend. I saw these fun images from Neat and Tangled in my stamp box and just needed to get them inky!!! I do love me some good polka dots!!

I used the punchinella stamp and versamark ink then heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I masked off the image with post it tape, and then used distress ink and a blending tool for coloring in the image. I stamped the celebrate in black ink from  the just for you set.
My balloons are from PTI, and are cut from my Maggie Holmes paper pad...love that stuff!!! I added a little bit of silver thread behind each balloon. I attached the strings just under the front panel, then attached the panel with foam adhesive to the card base.

Love, love, love me some good stamps!! I am playing along with the Little Tangles current challenge, which is a sketch...a great starting point for any inspiration!!

Take care, see you tomorrow!!

Sending a smile...

Good morning!! I am in denial that today is the 28th of May!! How in the tarnation did that happen!? I can't believe how the time has gone. You know, having a baby makes your time run in turbo-drive! My sweet little Graham turned 1 on the 15th of this month and that is killing me too!! Anyway, schools just days away from ending we're winding down with all the "stuff" that is going on and I love it!! I love the relaxing(lol....I can dream....)thoughts of not needing to hurry to
be to so many places!!

I  must also say that summer means FAMILY!! We live away from all of our family members--so we get really excited for the weeks we will spend loving on all our family  members in the summertime!

We've got a few mailboxes to fill with love notes before we head out...and this fun USA Map is just the ticket!! I used the "left over" paper to make a window for my card!
The scallop rectangle is from PTI as is the sentiment...isn't that a fun one to match this die!? The die is from Frantic Stamper. I filled the window with a bunch of colors and different sizes, and oh, it makes my heart happy!!

Take care and thanks for stopping by!!! I'll be back with a fun peek at the new release from The Alley Way...be sure to check the blog, so many fun new images!!!

Miss You...

Morning all!! Happy almost weekend! And here in the states we've got a long weekend!! All sorts of fun to be had!! I hope you have a great one!!

I saw this USA Map die, from Frantic Stamper and knew it had to be mine! I just L.O.V.E. love it! I have had this card in my mind since I got the die and am so happy to know that this card is not only finished, but it is in the mail, on it's way to a mailbox in FL!

I don't live near any of either side of our family so we miss people in a lot of different states!! My daughter went through and told me, "we need to make one with a heart in..." so we've got several more of these to go!!

I cut the die with white cardstock and then mounted it on my cardbase with foam tape. I added a couple of gold foil hearts, cut with a SSS die. The miss you is from PTI Mat Stack 3 stamp set.

Super CAS, and easy enough to make the multiples we will be sending in the coming days!!

Hope your weekend is great!! Take care!

Thinking of You

Hello there, happy Saturday! This is my second post for today!! I am excited to share the new Retro Sketch for the week!! The sketch was based off an older card--like from 2010--on my blog. Wow...blast from the past!:)

So, here's the sketch!
And here's my new card!

I pulled out my painted flowers from Altenew and stamped just the outline images onto some watercolor cardstock. I stamped them with versafine ink, and then added clear embossing powder and zapped them with my heat tool. Then I put some distress inks on my craft sheet added some water and then smooshed my watercolor paper into the ink! I love, love, love the results!!

I stamped that big chevron backgound with my Misti....insert GIANT smile, because I got the perfect result, love that thing!! The background is from Gourmet Rubber Stamps. I added a nice little yellow border that was cut using a Pretty Pink Posh border die. My vellum doily was cut from a PTI die. I added a little pink slide--from Maggie Holmes and some gold thread. Then my sentiment is from Hero Arts! Wow, lots of products on this one!! Oh, and I added a few little gold enamel dots...love!!

I hope you'll get a chance to play along with us this week!! Can't wait to see what you come up with! Have a sunshine day and to all you Mother's reading this, Happy Mother's day tomorrow!!

Hello my friend

Good morning!! I'm excited to be playing along with the PTI blog hop today!! I saw the inspriation photo and was super excited to play along!!!

Isn't this photo just beautiful! It was a great starting point for some inspiration!!

And, here is the card I made. I used some of my favorites...Rosie Posie!! I started with the center stage cover plate. I cut it out of some cardstock and used it as a stencil with my Enchanted Evening ink. I used the largest of the doily dies to create a vellum layer right over the stenciled background. Then I cut and stamped images from the Rosie Posie set, and used Rosie Posie 2 for the details. I used Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz inks on my flowers. I used my MISTI to help me get the details in the right spot on my flowers and it made my heart SO happy!! I used a couple of springs of leaves from the Turning a new Leaf die--I think that is the only leaf die I used 98% of the time I need green for my flowers!!;) My sentiment came from Sketched Shapes..and I cut the ends of my strip into little fish tails on both ends before nesting it into the bouquet! My last touch was a little scattering of clear sequins...

I am excited to get a few minutes to take a peek at all the beautiful cards along the hop today!! If you missed the new Retro Sketch post, you can see that here!! Take care and thanks a bundle for stopping by!! Have a great weekend!!

Hello!!

So, my 2nd posting for today...with the new Retro Sketch for this week!

The sketch is based of this card of Tracey's. Lovely, isn't it!?
Here is the sketch
And, here is my card! I pulled out some lovely bright colors!! I used my Cutting Garden stamps from PTI for the flowers and leaves, then the post marks background. I have to say, using my MISTI made getting good coverage on this large flower SO much easier!! I am really starting to love that tool!!

The hello is from the wonderful words set, also from PTI. The little speech bubble die is from a Paper Smooches set.

Hope you get a chance to join us over at Retro Sketches!!

A little note

Good morning!! I hope you are all well! We are off for a few days of fun...yea!!!

But first, I have a little note to share! I was sitting, looking at the Feeling Groovy set, and found that these little circle bursts made me think of flowers!! So, I pulled out some dies, and decided on the notched flower die from PTI.

I used some post it tape to mask off the edges of the card, so I could have a nice clean edge to my stenciled background. I paired them with some calm soft colors, a bit of limeade ice. The sentiment is from More Than Words. My leaves were cut from the turning a new leaf die, from limeade ice cardstock. On the inside of the card, I added the "you are in our thoughts and prayers" also from the More than Words set.

This card is going to a special friend of ours that just learned that she has cancer...so this is a little special note to tell her how much we love her!

I used the Fusion sketch rotated a bit for my card layout!
Thanks a bundle for stopping by!! Take care and see you tomorrow!!

Happy Birthday!

Good morning!! Today is our first day of Spring Break and we are pumped to have a few days off of the normal busy rush! I think we are the last people in the country to be having Spring Break, am I right!?
Today, I've got a card to play along with the Freshly Made Sketch for the week! I'm just getting in as the challenge finishes, but happy to get to play along!

I used some frame dies from Mama Elephant and I LOVE the clean and detailed edges they bring to a simple design! A little strip of vellum is perfect when you want a nice soft something--I didn't want to cover up all that pretty paper!! I used a Happy die from PTI and birthday sentiment also from PTI. I added a few pearls, and there you have it!

I hope you have a great one! Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow with a new fun Frantic Stamper card!!

Birthday Wishes

Happy Monday friends!! Is that legal to say!? I hope that you neck of the woods is bringing you a happy day indeed!! I hope that you are doing well!! I've had a hard weekend, actually just got home from the dr and I've got myself a bit of strep throat!! So, as I'm laying here in bed, I thought I could get a bit of blogging done, while I have a bit of "down time!"

This is a card that was inspired by a card of Julie Ebersole's. I cut a balloon out of some thick transparency and made myself a balloon stencil. I used distress inks to color my balloons. My balloon image is from PTI, as well as my fun birthday sentiment. That little strip of black and white diagonal is some shape 'n tape from lifestyle crafts.
Pretty quick and simple, and I love that it could be for anyone's birthday!!

Have a great one!!

Happy Birthday

Hey there!! I am excited to share today! This card made my heart super happy...bright pink is calling my name this week! I donated a big bundle of cards to an auction for our school district. I made a combination pack, and this was one of the cards.

I used a new american crafts polka dot stencil--a fun find at target on a recent trip!!  I use picked raspberry--of course--distress ink for my polka dots. I used the happiness in bloom set from PTI for my beautiful blooms!! My lovely green leaves were cut from the turning new leaf die in new leaf paper...I tell you, that green and pink has my heart!!!

I hope you have a great one!! Take care and I'll see you tomorrow. I've got a bit more TAWS fun and also a Retro Sketch on the way!!

Enjoy your weekend!!!
