CLOCHE PARTY and PINK SATURDAY 12/05/09

Today is the much anticipated CLOCHE PARTY presented by the hostess with the mostess, Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. I'm a tad late getting my post linked up and mid-way thru it realized how much PINK I was sharing today, so I'm going to let this post do double duty as my PINK SATURDAY post, too!

Enjoy all the pics (most are clickable to enlarge) and please stop back by again Tuesday, as I'll be participating again in Susan's Deck The Halls Tuesday! with more of my holiday decor!

I just love my little Lefton reindeer with all their sparkly rhinestones

Precious Moments Christmas Angel bell from my sweet Mother

Found this teensy glittered church at Wal-Mart!

Some of my favorite snow bunnies!

1980's Hallmark Cloth Santa that hubby and I have decorated with each year. I recently bought another to gift our granddaughter with. That way, we'll BOTH have one! The little porcelain Santa under the cloche is very old and chippy, but I love him.

Vintage silver tray with wreath of greenery and pinecones and a glittery Santa riding a polar bear. This arrangement is on our kitchen table.

Tall cloche with a pink sugared reindeer. The vintage look silver ornament with millinery flowers was a gift from sweet Jen of Jennifer's Petal Palace.

Pretty glass teardrop hinged ornament with a sweet teensy bottle brush tree and cottage inside.
Click the pic for more detail.

This PINK SATURDAY our sweet hostess Beverly of How Sweet the Sound has asked us to share one of our favorite Christmas memories.

This is a picture of me in 3rd grade standing beside the cardboard fireplace that I thought was so wonderful. Notice the adorable felt stocking that my mother made for me. I look so sweet and happy in this picture but all that was about to change.....

At this time I was still a mighty strong "Believer" so my mother and my aunt took me outside on the front porch to listen for Santa's sleigh bells on Christmas Eve. Well, of course they both heard them before I did and I believed them. So I made a mad dash for the front door to run inside and crawl into bed before Santa could catch me still awake.  You know, he sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake....

Little did my mother and aunt know that I would almost have a heart attack and freak out all over the place when I found that the door was LOCKED, and there I stood out front with the stinking reindeer, the jingling sleigh bells, and Santa right above MY rooftop, just waiting to catch me still awake!

Much later they explained to me that this had all been a ruse to get me out of the house so that dear Daddy could sneak in with the jolly fellow's gifts.  Needless to say this was the last Christmas that I waited for Santa to arrive!

Moral of this story:  Do NOT say or do ANYTHING that will cause your child to panic as far as Santa Claus is concerned! LOL

PINK SATURDAY 8/29/09 and the WINNER IS. . . . .

The first order of business for today is the awarding of my little new pink Capezio ballet slippers. I used the random number generator at www.mathgoodies.com but for the life of me I cannot get it to post here, so I will tell you that I entered the numbers from 1 to 43 and the lucky number was.......30. The 30th comment belongs to none other than the beautiful and talented ........

Miss ELE of A BIT OF PINK HEAVEN!!!!

Ele, congratulations and I hope you do some of your usual extraordinary decorating with these little slippers! They will mail out Monday!!

Now it is once again time for another fun PINK SATURDAY with our sweet hostess Beverly of How Sweet the Sound, so please stop by and visit her and then check out all the PINK participants this week.

Believe it or not, I forgot to show this little rooster yesterday at the ROOSTER PARTY below, so since he is strutting next to my PINK cannisters, I thought it appropriate to show him today.

I got home sooo very late Friday evening, I didn't have time to make more PINK pictures (I was out of town whiling away the hours with my precious grandson & granddaughter!) so I'm sharing some of my favorite pinks from last year below.

I think this lamp would be great for Barb's home

Now, for my home tour.......
