Happy Birthday

Hi y'all,

Just popping in quickly to share a card with you. My girlfriend turned **** this month, and because she is a papercraft addict, our instructions were to make our birthday cards ourselves (no cards bought from a shop!) ... needless to say, I had to really do something special AND of course I had to use kraft (my favourite neutral), HAD to use polka dots (Sue's favourite). I was very happy with the way this card turned out and was going to use it in this month's PTI Blog Hop (but missed it because of the different time zones LOL! maybe next month). You will have to excuse my fingers in some of the photos, acetate is quite difficult to photograph.



You might not be able to see, but I stamped the flowers in versamark on the front, inside and back.

Red Hearts

This is my card for the 'Red Hearts' Challenge over on CAARDvarks blog. Thought I might put it in the 'Moxie Fab' Start to Finish Challenge as well.

Moxie Fab Challenge {Plum Crazy}

This stamp set from PTI is soooo much fun to play with. I am doing all different colour combos with this set and thought a 'plum' one would fit in with the Moxie Fab Challenge. I took my inspiration from Nichole Heady's blog HERE. You can only just see it, but I have used crystal effects on the pale plum dots. If you would like to play along, go HERE.

This is my second card for Dawn's challenge .... and .... I might put this one in for the Moxie Fab 'Ruffle' Challange too. I definitely looove this flourish set from PTI, seriously.

Polka Dot Paradise Colour Challenge

I have been following Ashley Newell's blog for some time. She is an amazing artist. This colour challenge is from her new online magazine called 'Embellish'. Check it out HERE and Ashley's personal blog HERE.

This is my third attempt to do this challenge, and even though these are not traditionally 'christmas colours', I thought it turned out ok. I think I will put this in for the 'Moxie Fab Challenge' as well.

Card: Apricot appeal, purley pomegranite, pumpkin pie and very vanilla

Ink: Purely pomegranite, apricot appeal, pumpkin pie and vintage cream

Moxie Fab Challenge - Classy & Elegant

Way, way out of my comfort zone. I very rarely do 'classy & elegant', but I thought I should at least have a go ....

Moxie Fab Challenge - Clean & Graphic

This is my card for the Moxie Fab Challenge 'Clean & Graphic'. The sketch for this card is very similar to my previous post because I didn't read the challenge info correctly and made any old card, when it should have been a 'holiday' card. Moxie Fab Value of Vintage Challenge

Over at Moxie Fab World (hosted by Cath of Paper Crafts Magazine), there is a regular challenge posted with Fab prize giveaways! This challenge is all about recycling vintage items in our designs. I have used an old book that I purchased for $1 at an OP shop. I have taken a page out, stamped, mounted and sponged it for my background on this card.
