From Newcastle

Hi everyone,
Just sharing some pics from our recent trip up to Newcastle. We went to the beach (Caves Beach) every morning. It was hot and sunny (just like I remembered - I haven't lived in Newcastle for over 20 years ... ). I miss the beaches the most, & family.

L - R Liam (4), Ruby(almost 5), Mackenzie(5), Tom(7) & Calum (7). Mine are Liam and Calum.

It was Ruby's 5th birthday just a couple of days after we left, so I made this card for her .....

Stamps: Pick a petal, whimsical alphabet, so swirly wheel

Card: Pixie pink, pink passion, whisper white

Ink: Pixie pink, pink passion, prettin in pink

I started this card with the flower and built it up from there. And these are definitely NOT my usual colours.

Card: Whisper white, basic black
Ink: Yoyo yellow (+marker) & basic black (+marker)

KWerner CIC#37

It is that time of the week again. Kristina's colour inspiration challenge. Absolutely gorgeous colours this week:
Chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, old olive and cool caribbean (baja breeze substitute)
OK, this photo came from Robyn's desk at Kristina's work. I always have a look at the link (seejanework.com), and this site has some fabbo stuff (you should have a look!), my favourite was 'life organisation' (nearly everybody needs this!).

... and I have had this set (SU! pick a petal for yonks), and have not been inspired to use it at all. I have lent it to lots of friends (well, maybe 2) and when I get it back, I just put it back on the shelf. Not this week, I have used it for a birthday card for my Nan (who will be turning 90 this month - go NAN!), and this challenge. Hope you like it ....
Stamps: SU! Pick a petal, PTI polka dot basics and warm words
Card: Cool caribbean, whisper white
Ink: Chocolate chip, old olive, pumpkin pie and cool caribbean
Accessories: Crimper, wide chocolate chip ribbon, stampamajig and paper snips
