We got some pics taken for our anniversary! The little man was not very happy that day, but we managed to get a couple good ones of him. Unfortunately we were unable to get a good picture of all of us together.

4 weeks tomorrow!!

Wow!! I can't believe Cody will be 4 weeks old tomorrow!! Time flies. I remember when I was pregnant 4 weeks took forever. Now it goes by way too fast!! We are having so much fun with our new little boy. He is the sweetest boy ever. He is now starting to be more fussy, especially when he is really tired. He fights going to sleep because he doesn't want to miss out on any of the action!! Doesn't he look so innocent?

For some reason, when ever I try to get a picture with my little boy he pulls funny faces or he won't open his eyes. He is so funny. He has me wrapped around his finger. He knows what ever he wants I will be right there. He likes to tease me.
I ablsolutely love this picture of Cody. I think he has the prettiest skin color. He gets that from his Dad.
We absolutely love being parents. Russ is the best dad I have ever seen. I knew he would be a good dad, but I had no idea how good he would be. As far as getting nights and days straight, not happening!! He wakes up every 1-2 hours in the night time and usually won't go back to bed. We had a good well, GREAT night last night. He only woke up twice. I bet that will never happen again!! He likes his baths now. We try to give him baths at night to wake him up, hoping he will sleep more in the night, but he just sleeps through them.
So at first I thought Cody looked exactly like Russ. Now I'm not quite sure. I think he is starting to look more like me :). Ha Ha. But really, who do you think he looks like?

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Cody is so hillarious. He sleeps with his hands up all the time. I try and fix his head so it doesn't look like it has fallen off but he keeps moving it back. Being a mom is so awesome. I never knew how much sleep I wouldn't get. My little boy has his nights and days mixed up. He has now been asleep since 10:00 and it is 1:00. I try everything to keep him awake and it doesn't work. The problem is I have a hard time taking naps in the daytime. But I am adjusting. He is the cutest little boy ever. He never cries, unless I am giving him a bath.
I think this face he makes is adorable. He looks so comfortable! I just get done burping him. This is how he looks when he is about ready to take a very long nap. I just wish the nap would be at night.

Introducing Cody Russell May.

Cody Russell May was born on October 29, 2009 at 8:16 a.m. He tipped the scales at a very masculine 8 Lbs 1 Oz and measured 21 Inches long! AuBrie delivered him Cessarian and is recovering quickly. Cody started walking this afternoon and is fluent in English, and can also speak German (in Russian). He is dashingly handsome like his father and gets the rest of his good looks (ie nose and mouth) from his beautiful mother. This has been the best day of our lives up to this point and are greatful that AuBrie and baby Cody are in perfect health!

No induction today!!

No induction today!! Instead I will be here at work all day. My doc said he would do it today, but my chances of C-section are pretty good. So, I feel good about waiting. I will go to my doc appointment Thurs. and if I am dilated at all he will induce me that day. If not I will keep waiting. Maybe this barametric pressure change will help things to start rollin'. I know, one of those myths!! But I'm choosing to believe it. I wish my little guy would decided to come out!! I think it would be alot fun'er for him out here that in there:)

Still Cookin'

So I went to my 39 week OB check yesterday(I never thought I'd make it to this appointment)!! Anyway, they measured my belly and I measure 45 weeks! Holy Cow! Dr. Jones ordered an ultrasound, again. . , to see why I was measuring so big. Well, our baby yesterday weighed an estimated 8 pounds 2 oz. My fluid level has went down from 17 to 12. They have no idea why I am measuring so big. After the ultrasound they sat me in a waiting room. The nurse came out and told me that I really need to watch my babies movements. I need to drink a soda and eat a candy bar once in the morning and once in the evening, lay down and count my baby kicks. I asked her why? Was there something wrong on the ultrasound. She told me that my baby is out of room and the umbilical cord is up by his head and they don't him to put weight on the umbilical cord. Alright!!! FREAK ME OUT!!! Now I am so worried all the time. She told me to go straight to labor and delivery if nothing is moving. If I make it til Monday I am suppose to call her. They may induce me on Tuesday but they will let me know Monday. I feel like I am just hangin out here, I have no idea what is going on. Am I getting induced Tuesday? I wish I could just go into labor today. But I am still only dilated to 1cm. Making progress. . .nope!! Well hopefully we can get this little guy out with in the next week. I am so excited and I can't believe it is sooooo close. I will be honest, I am freakin out about the whole labor thing, OUCH!! I know it'll be worth it but man it is going to hurt!! I will let ya'll know when our little guy gets here!! (Yes I wish I could put a name in the little guy slot but were still working on it)!

CRAZY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy Cow, I haven't posted anything forever. oops! A lot has been going on in our lives. I have been stressed out to the max. We are moving!! Yup 3 weeks of pregnancy left and we are moving to Cedar City. Russ got a job down there and I figured that I would rather him work full time and me stay home with the baby. I am having a really hard time quitting my job because I love it. But I know that I will probably like staying home with the baby after I adjust to it a little bit. Our apartment here in Orem is stacked to the top in boxes. Last weekend we boxed everything up and this coming Friday we are moving everything down to Cedar. Russ has already started his job is Cedar City and is Living with his sister Emily(Thanks)!! I will live up here in my lonely, empty apartment until I go into labor. This way I can keep our benefits and also get my free 6 weeks paid time off for maternity leave. I would be stupid to give that up!!! Then when I go into labor I will call Russ, he will speed up here, we will have our baby and afterwards drive down to our new home in Cedar!! I can't wait for this to happen. I hate not living with my husband, it is awful. He comes up every weekend so I get to see him then, but I am more needy than that. I need to see him every day!!

So I went to my appointment last week, the beginning of the gross appointments, and too bad for me, nothing is progressing yet. I was only dialated to a 1. Tomorrow is my next appointment and I am hoping that something will have happened. I feel like I am going to be pregnant forever. Shouldn't I be having some kind of symptoms that lead me to believe I am atleast close to having a baby. But no, I feel just the same!! I haven't even had any of those Braxton Hicks things they say you should get? Maybe it is too early? I'm not sure!

So last weekend we sat down and made a list of names. Some I like, some I don't like. You all should give me your opinions. Be Honest!!
1. Cody
2. Carver
3. Lawsen
4. Landon
5. Tucker
6. Ryver
Now I promise I won't be offended. I just wanna know what you think.

Who is that when I look in the mirror??

I debated on posting this recipe because I am pregnant. WHY? Yes, its true I eat a lot and I have probably gained more than what is normal for only being 27 weeks!! If you all notice, I haven't posted forever there are good reasons!! Well, the pictures I use to post of my hubby and I that I thought were so fun and cute, all of a sudden the new ones, well, , , aren't(of me). I do have an excuse that I will use. Our Camera broke. NO, it really did!! I took a picture of myself and it broke, ha ha ha. . Not really. The camera should be back in two weeks and I will post a picture of my pregnant belly, butt, thigh, arms and not to mention face so you can all see the effects that pregnancy has had on my once up on a time non stretch mark, varicose vein body.
Besides not recognizing my body when I look in the mirror, I love being pregnant. I am so thankful that we get to have this little boy come in to our home. I have 3 months left and it feels like forever. And once again, if any one has any baby name ideas, please share, we are really struggling with names.

Now for the recipe that will help you stay trim and looking good (like me!! HA. . HA. . that might be funnier when I post a picture of myself and ya'll see me!)
ZUCHINNI BREAD from my sister in law EMILY LANGSTON (thanks!)
1 1/2 C Flour 1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon 1 c sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda 1 Cup grated zucc.
1/2 tsp salt 1/4 c veg. oil
1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 nuts (opt.)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Bake at 350 for 55 mins. Spray pam in the bread pan and coat with cinnamon sugar. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on the top of the dough. ENJOY!! O. . this makes 1 loaf of bread!

Ultrasound Confirmed!!

Yes, it is still a boy!!! WAHOO!!!!

Monday, June 15, 2009

Yes I am still alive!!

It has been forever since I have not only posted on my blog, but checked out any one elses blog. When I get home from work I am so tired that I don't want to do anything. Were any of you out there, who have been pregnant experienced this? So to catch you all up on the whole pregnancy thing, I am 20 weeks. At my 16 week appointment I found out that we are having a boy!! The doctor said that at 14ish weeks you can tell what you are having. It is hard to see but if you get the right picture you can see what it is. I begged my doctor to see if he could tell. He was about 90% sure that it is a boy!! He said that at my next appointment they would know for sure. My appointment is on Thursday so I guess well see if what they thought was a boy, is still a boy. I am pretty sure that it is a boy though. When I look between the babies legs on the picture they gave me I'm pretty sure that the thing there will not turn into a girl, it was pretty obvious!!

What is is about husbands wanting to have a boy. Russ is so excited he can bearly stand it. He wants to name our little boy Russell (Junior), ummmm. . .NO, not going to happen. I'm not into that whole Senior, Junior same name thing. Speaking of names I don;t have a single one. Does any one have any good name ideas? I like the name Bodie, but Jessie is naming her little boy that, (you beat me)!!!

Anyways, I am so excited about having a boy. I always wanted to have a boy first!!! I will try and keep you all updated. On Thursday I will let you all know that it is still a boy, ,, , ,well if it is?

Graduation and Zions National Park

Friday Russ graduated from UVU with his Bachelors degree I am so proud of him. He still has to take the summer semester but then he will be done. After graduation we headed, yet again, down to Cedar City. We went down to Zions National Park and hiked Emerald pools. It was perfect weather and really nice because Zions wasn't crowded. After we hiked we headed back to Cedar City. On the way we stopped in Toquerville and went to Toquerville Falls. It was a great day. It was nice to be in the sunshine instead of in Orem where it was pouring rain.

Secrets!!! I'm not good at those!!!!1

So when your sitting at work bored you start thinking of what you can do to pass the time. Well I have had this really big secret that I have wanted to tell but haven't. In case you are all wondering what it is, well, , , I'M PREGNANT!!!! YAY!!! I am so happy. Not to get into much detail but it took FOREVER!! I wanted to keep it a secret for longer but it has been all I can think about. I am 11 1/2 weeks, due the end of October, first of November ' ish. I know some of you are thinking "I can't believe she is telling people so early" (me neither). But once you find out all you want to do is tell. I had an ultrasound last week and heard the heart beat, and that didn't help me want to keep the secret.
I found out I was pregnant the end of March. Come to find out I had been pregnant since January. But because my cycles and everything are not regular at all, I had no idea.
Heres a little bit about how I found out:
They were going to put me on some medicine to get me to start because it had been like 3.5 months since my last period. They made me get a blood test first to make sure I wasn't pregnant. They did the blood test the middle of February that said I wasn't pregnant (which doesn't make sense at all cause I was like 4 weeks.) After I took the medicine for a week and three weeks after stopping it I never started. Soon after I called the doctors office and told them nothing was happening. She asked me if I had taked a home test. I thought to my self, "Of course I haven't taken a home test, I took a blood test before that said I wasn't pregnant." Well, I went home from work and took the test and what did it say, , , , POSITIVE!!! What? I hurried and took like 5 more and they all said positive. I called the doctors office the next day and the nurse couldn't believe it. She decided to send me in for some more blood tests because it didn't make sense. This time the blood test said I was pregnant. I was so Happy!!! The test did say that my progesterone was low and because of this I have to take some medicine at night to make my body keep the baby. So far everything is going great!! I know that it is such a huge blessing that I am pregnant. I wouldn't be if it wasn't for my Heavenly Father. I can't wait until this little baby gets here!!

To all of my friends out there who are still trying to get pregnant and still haven't, , , just be patient (easy to say, harder to do). It will happen if and when it is suppose to. I'll keep you in my prayers!!

EASTER!!!

So did everyone have a good easter weekend? I thought it was great, besides the gloomy weather on Saturday. We woke up on Saturday morning and had the famous money easter egg hunt. My in laws are so awesome. Every year on Easter they hide tons of money in easter eggs and all their kids and spouse wake up early and find the money easter eggs. It can get quite brutal because we are all fighting over the eggs. It is a blast!! This year my husband and I did pretty good. We came away with $102. Wow!!! (My in-laws are the best).

Then we went to the Middle school for the kids easter egg hunt. Russ' uncle Dave is the principal at the school. We had the hunt in the halls of the school and in the library. This is not just a normal easter egg hunt. There were probably 30 kids there and every basket was filled to the top with candy and eggs. There is so much candy, toys and eggs it is unbelievable. By the end of hiding all the eggs and candy we are practically throwing it all over the floors because there is no more room anywhere else.

After the hunt we went to Uncle Dave's house for a big dinner. I love getting together with all of the family. It is so much fun. We had a great time in Delta. Thanks to everyone in Delta.

Exploring Once Again!!!

Once again we had a weekend of exploring!!! Sorry if all I do is post about our adventures I just don't have much more to post about. If any of you know my husband he hates sitting home and doing nothing. He always has an adventure planned for the weekend and if he doesn't he research's on the internet and will find one. This last weekend we went to Delta. It has been a really long time since we have went to Delta. On Saturday afternoon we decided to go cave spelunking. We drove out to Oak City and hiked up to a cave. When we got there I was a little nervous because I have never done anything like this before, but I conquered my fear which I am glad I did. It was so awesome!! I was kind of scared at first but by the end of the adventure it was one of those things where I was glad I had done it.
There were really open huge parts and really narrow small parts. I wish I had a picture of the opening of the cave. It was a tiny hole in the ground where you had to shimmy through. I got a little closterfobic at first but ended up making it. The cave was huge and there were a lot of things to explore.

O' and by the way, there were tons of rocks above our heads that we kept running into. Russ snagged his shirt on a rock and it ripped. This is the wound he has to show for it. I hit my head about 3 times and it really hurt but of course I have nothing to prove it.

A collection of these

So I have this obsession with making baby blankets. I love to make them because they are so small and so cute. I store them in my closet for the day I will have a baby. (and no I'm not pregnant). It gives me something to do when Russ is gone to classes at night. As I was taking pictures of them I realized, "WOW" I don't really venture away from squares. Almost all of the blankets are just made of squares. One reason could be because they are fast and easy, they don't take that much time and I never have to follow a pattern. But, if any of you have any ideas of cute baby blankets (with out squares, or that requires a pattern) let me know. Here are pictures of a couple I have made.
Here are the Girl's

Here are the boys
The others I have made I gave away for baby shower's or just gave them away. Now ya'll can see the square problem I have. They are all made of squares. So please leave some ideas so I can have something to do in my bored'em, that doesn't involve many squares.

The Bachelor!!

I don't know if any of you watched the bachelor finale last night, holy cow!! What did you all think? I used to love Jason and now I hate him. I can't believe he would do that to poor Melissa (I love her). I don't care how much they paid him to break up with her on T.V. that is low!! I am so shocked over the whole thing. It's like Jason gets the both of best worlds now. I hated how he went from breaking up with his fiance' to making out with another girl on T.V. I am so disappointed in him. What did you all think? Those of you who watched it.

Fun weekend in Cedar

Once again we couldn't say in Orem. We decided to head down to Cedar City to have some fun with the Langston's and Holyoak's. On Saturday we all decided to head down to St. George because we heard the weather was going to be 70 degrees. So the Langston's, May's and Holyoak's all headed down to Sand Hollow in St. George. We went fishing and played some sand volleyball. The weather was great. We it was so warm. I am so ready for summer now. We did some fishing while we were down there as well. We had so much fun. Thanks again to the Langston's for always letting us stay with them.

The Sunset was so gorgeous.

The sting rays were all over us. It was really slimmy.

This is where we stayed on the island. J/K. I think this is where some natives live

This is the Canopy tour. It doesn't look like it, but he is 45 ft from the ground. I'm glad we didn't fall.

This is the beach in the Caymans.
