Yippee Birthday Card

Hi everybody! It's Cassie from Creatively Cass, back today to share a card I made with you. Today's card was inspired by a card I made a long time ago where I had a volcano shaker. I wanted to do a similar design except this time I wanted the shaker to be coming out of the bottom of a piñata, as if it were breaking open. Here's a look at the final card.  I love the rainbow colors on this and the fun interactive element. I haven't made a shaker card in so long, I was definitely reteaching myself some things today! I started with a piece of kraft card stock and die cut a stitched rectangle from it. I used the MFT stencil Watercolor Wash Rectangle and Distress Oxide inks Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, and Wild Honey to get this cute watercolor centerpiece on the card. From there I used a ruler and craft knife to cut a triangle in the lower middle portion of the card. I tried so hard to measure and make it centered and even, however that is not my stro...

Hello

Hi, everyone! It's Cassie here from Creatively Cass and I'm back to share a cute card I made for the blog today! I absolutely missed the St. Patrick's day window this year, but I still wanted to get a rainbow card in, and this is what I came up with. I've had the Rainbow Wishes die set from Concord & 9th forever, and it was time to finally use it! I die cut some of the rainbow pieces out of the new Lawn Fawn card stock colors Pencil Eraser, No. 2 Pencil and Sage Leaf. I love these new colors and can't wait to use them again! I also die cut some Heffy Doodle Swirly Clouds dies from a light gray cardstock. Then I used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to darken up the bottoms of them a little.  I die cut the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die from white card stock and heat embossed some little stars all over the panel with gold embossing powder. I thought this added a cute touch to the background, without adding any competing colors. I also ink blended some P...

Concord & 9th

Howdy Friends!! It is  Dana  here today with a fun set of cards using the  Concord & 9th To The Point Turnabout Stamp Set . I started my first card by using the  To The Point Stamp Set . This turnabout stamp is a little different than other turnabouts. It's a split turnabout with succulents/cactus on one half and pots on the other side. So you use two colors each time you turn (up to 8 colors) to create your pots and cactus. This allows you to keep your cactus green but add color to your pots. I only used four color...so I repeated my greens twice and my pot colors twice. I took a picture of each step to show you how it comes together...I am sorry about the shadows on my pictures, but I was stamping at night. You will notice that there is an empty spot in the center of the design. You can add an included sentiment there, or fill it in with the individual images in the stamp set (that is what I did). Next, I cut down my card panel and added a  Vel...

Lawn Fawn

Let's Toast Hello Friends!! My name is  Dana  and I am so excited to be joining the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Design Team. I will be sharing a project every Friday on the blog, and I would love it if you would follow along!! Today, I have a card using the adorable  Lawn Fawn: Let's Toast  stamp set. I started my card by stamping all of my images with  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink . Next, I used  Copic Sketch Markers  to color my images in soft shades of rainbow colors. Then, I used the  Lawn Fawn: Let's Toast Lawn Cuts  to cut out all of my images. Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 2.5 inches tall and stamped my sentiment. I attached all of my little pop tarts, toaster and butter to my white panel with  3D Dots Foam Adhesive . For my patterned paper I used the  MFT Stamps: Sweet Celebration Paper Pad . This is a great 6x6 paper pad, lots of variety and wonderful colors!! To finish my card, I attached everything to m...

Inlaid Die Cut Card - VIDEO - Pinkfresh Studios

Helllllo, crafty people! This week has been an especially cuddle worthy week here in the Northeast. I don't know about where you are, but we're already seeing our second snowfall tonight. It's definitely putting me in the mood for warm winter hugs and what better way to express that than with the Happy Hugs stamp set by Pinkfresh Studios ? I added to the design of this card a bit by using an inlaid die cutting/inlaid dimension technique. Check out my video here: First, I stamped the bears image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with Copic markers (List Below). Next, I stamped the background sky image with Suede Shoes by Catherine Pooler onto a piece of 110lb white card stock. To do the inlaid die cutting, I needed to die cut not only my image using the coordinating die , but also the card front and the craft foam so that they were in the same exact spot on both. This way it created a well of sorts where I adhered image. Copic Colors Used: ...

Thank You So Much

Hi, Butterfly friends! It's Cassie here, from Creatively Cass , and I'm happy to be joining you again today with another card! Today I got to play around with some fun products from a few of my favorite companies to come up with the cute fall thank you. I started the card today by using my washi tape to mask off stripes so that I could do some ink blending. Once my tap was in place I used an ink blender and the colors Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick to blend onto the stripes. I made sure to keep Tattered Rose to the center and Worn Lipstick just on the edges for an gradient look. Before I took the tape I splattered some gold from a Metallic Accents Water color set over the stripes as well. Then I peeled up the washi tape and let it dry.  I used the same water color paints on a piece of Bristol Smooth water color paper. I let that dry and die cut the Stitched Leaves from Lawn Fawn from the paper when it was dry. I arranged those in a cluster on the stripe piece of...

Fun with Mama Elephant

Happy Saturday, everyone! Lindsay here on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog with a card using some of the "new to the shop" Mama Elephant goodies. It's been exciting news around here that Butterfly Reflections Ink now carries  Mama Elephant  products! When I saw the  Little Agenda Frames Stamp Set  and  Little Agenda Frames Dies  I knew I had to have them! This stamp and die set includes frames of all shapes and sizes as well as coordinating dies to cut out either the frame outline on its own or the center portion as well. I chose to cut out the outline as well as the middle of the frames in order to fit in my  Little Dog Agenda  images inside the frame itself. This picture was a little sneak peek from my Instagram Story last week. I  Copic Colored  all the dogs from the stamp set as I wasn't sure exactly which images I wanted for my card. I then got to ink blending on some Bristol Smooth Paper using  Blueprint...

Mom, You are all I knead Lawn Fawn card

Hi, it's Mona here! Yesterday was Mother's Day in Slovakia, so I made a sweet card for this occasion. I created my card with non Mother's Days themed Lawn Fawn stamps.  First I made the background with Puffy Cloud Borders Lawn Cuts and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink. Instead of using a 2nd piece of paper cloud I made a glittery shimmery part with Chunky Glitter and Glossy Accents . Maybe it's not so visible on the photos, but in live it looks like a glitter epoxy! :) To the center I made a small circle with Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables Lawn Cuts and Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circle Stackables . The "MOM" alphas are leftovers from Speech Bubbles Lawn Cuts .  Now it was time to stamp my images from Sweet Friends , Baked with Love , Happy Village and Easter Party Lawn Fawn stamp sets and fussy cut them. After coloring the "mom" and "children", I glued to their back their legs and arms from Sweet Friends stamp s...

Oh Happy Day

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday, and for those of you waiting for Santa, I hope he treats you well! It's Cassie here, and I'm back to share a fun holiday card with you. The card for today could be used for a lot of wintery occasions, but I had a birthday in mind when I put it together. As you can see I made some cute little penguins into some balloons! I started by die cutting the Stitched Cloud Backdrops die from Lawn Fawn from some 120 lb Neenah Solar White card stock. I wanted my card to be nice and sturdy. I used the gold paint from my Gansai Tambi water color set to splatter some paint over the clouds. I wanted to tie in the gold that I was going to bring in later, and this added a little interest to the otherwise blank sky. Then I stamped the cutest little penguin from the Pink and Main set Warm Hug . These little guys are too cute for words. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with my Copic markers in som...
