Lotus Blossoms

I really love these layering flower stamps.  These are  Lotus Blossoms from Stampin Up (not sure if they're still available as I bought them from a selling group on Facebook),
For this one I used one shade of Memento Ink for the flowers, Teal Zeal, though it does look more blue in the pic.  I stamped the first stamp (darkest), straight from the stamp, for the second step I  inked up the stamp and stamped first onto scrap paper then stamped over the first image, for the 3rd layer I inked up and stamped twice onto scrap paper then stamped over the other 2 image.  The stems were stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy.  The mason jar is from a stamp set by Inkadinkadoo and stmped in Memento London Fog.  I pierced round the edge to finish off.
For this one, I stamped the first stamp straight from the pad using Memento Love Letter, then for the 2nd stage, inked up the stamp and stamped onto scrap paper first, then stamped over the first image.  The white layer was created by stamping the 3rd stamp with Versamark and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The background was done with Distress Inks, blended, in Broken China and Mowed Lawn.  The clear embossing powder acts as a resist, so any ink just wipes of that part of the image. I then splashed water over it and dabbed off leaving white speckles.  Finished off with a bit of the Bokeh technique.  I got the inspiration for this one from Google.
Thanks for looking.

Lavinia Stamps & Bokeh

It's a while since I've entered the challenge over on Lavinia Stamps, so thought I've enter this month.  Their challenge theme is 'Hot Bright Colours'.
I used Distress Inks in the following colours for the background, Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry.  All stamps are of course from Lavinia.

A Bit of Bokeh

It's been a while since I did a bit of Bokeh, so it's been a nice change.

This was another background done on the Gelli Plate, I just added the Bokeh last night.  Visible image butterfly stamps, heat embossed in silver.  I coloured the top one with Promarkers and added a bit of glitter and gems.  I also did some heat embossing round the edges of the card.

A closer look at the butterfly to see the full effect.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges.
House of Cards - Boke Technique - 30/5
Craft Stamper - Take a Stamp, Anything Goes - 27/5
Crafty Cardmakers - Make your own background - 15/5

Winter Wonderland - Krafty Christmas

For our challenge this week, over on Winter Wonderland, the theme is 'Krafty Christmas', so we need to see Kraft card on your project, which doesn't have to be Christmas themed.

Here's my DT card.

I'm loving this Bokeh technique at the moment and so easy to do.  The small snowflakes were cut with a punch, the large one with a die from DieSire, the sentiment is a digi, but I can't remember where from......  I used distress inks and adirondack inks for the background.
