Clean and Simple

Here are a couple CAS cards that I have made the last couple of days.
Used Waltzingmouse's 'Afternoon Tea' for the one above. the cups are stamped in  Soft Suede and the steam and tea bag strings are Crumb Cake.
I swirled the  tea cup in Distress ink 'Broken China' to get a different look.
This card was for a challenge at SCS CAS107- create your own background.
I created the entire card in just one layer, which was my objective.

Special Day was a challenge over at SCS...I think my CAS is a bit different than SCS's description...but I like it. The sentiment and  image are SU's  Flexible Phrases and Send a Celebration.
I used an aquapainter to get some Positively Pink onto the petals of the flowers...it was a quick and easy way to do the coloring. This card measures 5 x 4 1/4".

Plastic cases for storage

I was sharing this info with the WMS forum late the other nite and thought someone visiting here might like to know the dish on storing my WMS clear stamp sets.

These are the Stampin Up clear boxes that I use now! They are not expensive and are available in the newest Mini catalog. Anyone interested in purchasing Stampin Up Clear-Mount Cases can contact Cindy here.
Here are the cases with my WMS sets in them with the label that's provided with WMS.

There is a plastic sheet attached to the outside of the case. When the case is open the sheet comes away from the case enabling you to place your image sheet right in there. You are looking at the open case on the outside with my image sheet/labels facing you. Claire at WMS serves up  lots of stamps on every set. Her 6 x 8 sheets of stamps are stock full of fabulous images and she carries several sets that are Nestie friendly. I have her button on the left sidebar or you can click right here. Visit her blog while you are there too. Many creations to drool over with hops to share and candy to win.
Inside pic of the same stamp set:

There's plenty of room in there with space to spare.
That's all the advertising that I'm doing today.

Not your typical Christmas colors

This was quick and easy.

I was out trying to return a cutting blade to Joann. Wrong store--I bought it at Mike's. Off to Mike's and they had a dollar bin of all kinds of stamps. I bought 6, six, seis, and a few stocking stuffers for DGDs. This snowman was in my bag this morning just begging to be inked. The CC249 challenge was Mellow Moss,  So Saffron, Melon mambo (Rose Red) and a neutral. got out the circle nesties, the cuttlebug, a generic shimmer, ribbon and we were good to go. The snowman and I had a great time stampin, spongin', and laughin'. Cuttle bug folder--Spots and Dots, Snowflake, Swiss Dots. the nesties were from the large and small circle sets.
I asked Santa for some Waltzingmouse sets and the new labels four and five from I heart Papers. Let's see who's been good or bad!!!
I got off the subject there for a sec. the snowflake is Sizzix with a bling in the middle. I have had a particular stamp pad for years and it always seems to ink up real well. It's Brilliance Moonlight White and i used it to sponge the edges and the embossing. I colored my buddies hat and used a black marker for his dots. OOps! Almost forgot, the Sakura glitter pen to highlight and tickle all my buddies Swiss dots that were outside his body.
