Sassy Studio Designs Sneak Peek Week Day 2

It's Sneak Peek Week at Sassy Studio Designs as we count down to the July new release on Saturday! This month it's all about pirates, and you saw the gorgeous mermaid Syrena on Sara's blog yesterday! If you missed it, visit the SSD blog here or Sara's personal blog here for a look at the beautiful card she created with this stunning new image.

Today I have preview #2 for you.... Elizabeth! Here she is dressed as a lady should be... Corsets and all, I am sure! But we all know she would really rather be living the pirates life, and so that is where my sentiment comes from. I used some lovely papers from my K&Company ancestry.com pad and the sketch from Card Positioning Systems (CPS 226) to showcase this amazing image from SSD's owner/artist, Lindsay.

You will want to stay tuned all week as the Sassy design team reveals a new image each day until release day! I wonder who will make an appearance tomorrow? And why's all the rum gone?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Monday!

There are six images total in the collection so only two more days to go before you can buy these cuties for yourself! Today we are showcasing Lil Tom Boyz Pinkette Baseball Pippa! The Corrosive Challenge #110 - Pastel Colours

Hello! It's Sunday morning here, and I'm going to be heading out soon for breakfast with two of my favorite guys - my son and my dad! I'm thinking waffles are in my future... But before I go indulge in syrupy goodness, I wanted to post this week's Corrosive Challenge details. The theme of challenge #110 is Pastel Colours. There is an optional Easter component as well.

I choose to make an Easter card with the adorable Bunny Blocks
image from this mo
nth's sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps! They have generously offered up 7 free digis as a prize this month, and Janet is throwing in 5 card kits and some flower chipboard too! We are also looking for one more design team member so if you are interested in joining us in that capacity simply add DT after your name when you link. We will be selecting and announcing the newest member in next week's post.

My layout is this week's sketch # 212 over at Card Positioning Systems. I thought it was fun with the pennant banner element! Mine is a $1 dimensional sticker purchased at Michaels from their Recollections line, and it worked perfectly for my card! I made the banner with my sentiment on it myself with a few folds and some 3D dots. I added a few pastel pearls and mini roses, and c'est fini!

Thanks for taking a peek, and I hope you have a lovely day planned!

Tickled Pink Challenge #12 - One for the Lads

All the men in my immediate family are computer guys. My dad and my two brothers are what I like to call technologically gifted (as opposed to technologically challenged, which is what I am! lol). They either indulge in it as a hobby, do it for a living, or are about to graduate from college with a degree in it. So that is why I used Lil Lad Eric for Challenge #12 - One for the Lads over at Tickled Pink Stamps. This will most likely be a birthday card for one of my brothers. I used sketch #211 from Card Positioning Systems to get me started. Designer paper from the Generation Tech stack by DCWV and some keys pried off an old keyboard help give my card the geeky chic look I was going for.

I also participated in the corner bookmark challenge that Tickled Pink Stamps owner, Kellie, threw out on her facebook group. I used the tutorial found on splitcoaststampers to create a page saver any vampire fiction lover would enjoy! Lil Lad Lestat was chosen to adorn my project. He technically also qualifies for the One for the Lads challenge too, but it was time for the nerds to have the spotlight today! lol Mr. Dark, Brooding, and Mysterious will just have to settle for runner up this time! lol

I have two more cards to complete tonight so I'll try to edit the post later with the card supplies used. Be sure to check back to see what else I'm up to...
