Hello Tag by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!  I'm back today with a floral tag I made.  I've been experimenting using different colors for leave lately.  I hope you like the result.  I think the vertical stripes give the tag an elongated appearance.  I cut the flowers out of a glitter paper I made with a background stamp and embossing powder.  I used an orange polka dot paper to cut the flourishes.  The tag needed a little more interest and the polka dots complement the ones on the top of the tag.

The flowers were adhered with foam adhesive and blue rhinestones were glued to the centers.

Faith, Hope & Love by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi friends!  I'm back with a floral card.  I haven't made as many flowers lately and I've missed it.  There's something so soothing and maybe gratifying about making flowers.  I love how by changing the colors and how you bend the petals the look you can achieve is so different.

Because these flowers created using the Build a Flower #2 die were so large I used the big Fern Leaf to complement them and then added in some Dandelions as filler.

Hello Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Today it's my turn again on this lovely blog and this time I would like to share another card with you  all! The flowers on my card are really easy but really time consuming because you have to cut out at least 20 flower petals from the B187 - Build a Flower #2 but they give such a great affect on your card. You can make them as large as you wish you only have to cute out more flowers petals to do so.

Hello:
I cut out the flower petals out of mulberry papers and colored them with some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.  This time I chose a darker purple and a bright pink one. I wish I had more mulberry or mixed media papers.  Then I would have been making flowers all day long because it's so much fun.

I think I am kind of hooked on that gorgeous B465 - Double Scalloped Border - hehe it's such a great addition to your work! For my card I used the pretty "Vintage Autumn Basics" collection by Maja Design

Happy Cat-o-ween by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny here today with a Halloween card featuring one of the new Halloween dies from the new Fall and Winter release.  This cat is perfect for Halloween but would be really cute on an all occasion or birthday card too.  It has a little spider dangling from it's tail but it's so simple to snip that off.

I used a die that normally makes  flower centers to create the black flowers.  They are from the Embellishment #1 die and I love how light and airy they are.  The yellow-green flowers are small Tea Roses that have been embellished with green glitter glue and the black centers are from the Embellishment #2 die set.  The white flowers are Dandelions, I added them in for a pop of color and I like the texture.  I used them instead of adding leaves.

I cut the doily once out of black card stock and then the center of the doily out of whit paper.  I cut it out with a Classic Circle die from the L4 set.

Thank You by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi crafty friends, Jenny here today!  I have another quick card to show you today.  I made this using flowers I'd pre-made during free time this summer.  I started with a white card base, then layered pink card stock under the black that was cut using  the Lattice Circle Frame.

I cut a two circles from the Classic Circle Stackers L4 set and then glued the Thank You Sentiment Circle on top.  The flowers were created using Judys Blooms and the centers are from the Embellishment #2 Set.  The small white accent flowers are the Dandelion die.  I used this die very often, it's such a great accent when you want a little texture or color but it's more delicate than leaves.

Kraft Doily Card by Ginny Nemchak

3:00 AM 1 Comments

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created inspired by the Cheery Lynn Designs Large Sunflower Doily. I cut it out with Kraft paper and new instantly that it would look fabulous layered with creamy whites paper patterns.  To anchor the warmer color of the doily I used a Kraft card base cut 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. To add texture and depth I used the Tonic Distressing Tool to tatter the edges  and spacers between the layers.
This arrangement of flowers has the Gardenia Strip and Small Gardenia Strip as well as the Miniature Rose, Dandelions, and Flourish #14. I've added a gorgeous ribbon bow, tag and vintage button to coordinate with the flowers.
I cut additional pieces from the Kraft paper to add bulk and fill in the flowers.  Bending the leaves gives them dimension. I used only 2 layers of the Miniature Roses with a pearl in the center to fill in the edges of the display.
Horizon Fishtail Banners and Square Frame elements are stacked up and secured with spacers for a delicate look. I finished this card off with  pearly accents, a simple loopy twine bow and coordinating wooden clothespin.
This card has a definitely country chic appeal.

You're the Best Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Good morning everyone.
How nice of you to visit the Cheery Lynn Designs blog today.  This time I'd like to show you a card! Most of you know my style and then you also know I almost never use Cheery Lynn's frame dies. But for this card I made an exception. For my card I used the pretty new "Summertime"collection by Maja Design it has pretty reds, blues, green & creams in it and today I used three of those colors.

You're the Best:
As you see I lighted up the greens, reds & creams in this collection. I really love the phrases Cheery Lynn Designs made lately they will fit on any project you are making. I lifted up mine with some foam tape and added some cheese cloth underneath it.

I am slightly smitten by this frame die so maybe I will now use them a lot more like Bonnie does ;-) Everyone on this design team is so talented and I really get so inspired by their works - thanks ladies.

Just a Little Note with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing with you a new card using some of the new release dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. The beautiful "Quarterfoil Frame #2" is the background in white cardstock. I was thinking it is like an elegant lattice. So I wanted to use papers that were soft and elegant.

The flowers and leaves/ ferns were die cut using the "floral bouquet kit" In the centers of the flowers I used gala glitz in pink. On the white sprays I placed some white flower soft. Kind of looks like q-tips! lol

The sentiment was stamped in pink distressing ink and then fussy cut out.
Love the sentiment in a wave...

The "dandelions" were die cut in white and distressed with the pink ink.
Then there is a bit of sparkle using a glitter pen.

Wedding Day by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 4 Comments
A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie with you today from Debbie's Time Out. Today I have created a simple yet elegant wedding card using only three dies.
I created this elegant base using the Card Cover Maker #4  and layered gold outline corners to it.
This couple is from the I Do die. I cut one in white and one in black. I then cut the black one apart to give the groom and black suit and shoes. The brides flower arrangement was created using the Dandelions. A little bit of bling and it was done. Now how quick was that and yet so elegant.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. I appreciate them.

Just for You by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here today. Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments during our blog hop both here at Cheery Lynn and on my own blog, I so enjoyed reading them. Today I am showcasing the new - Just For You die.

I started by using White Cardstock along with my IOE plates and Embossing folder to make my background. I inked my card with Milled Lavender to highlight the embossed areas, tattered the edges of my card and added a sprinkle of Frantage for a shabby feel.

My Just For You was heat set with Milled Lavender Distress Powder and layered onto my Oval and mounted onto my Quadrafoil Doily with a little cheesecloth for extra detail.

My flowers and leaves are all cut out in White Cardstock. I shaded my Dandelions with Bundled Sage Distress ink at the stems and added Milled Lavender Distress Glitter onto the flowers. The centre of my Chrysanthemums is Micro Beads and a little Distress Glitter into the centre of my Sweet Christine flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and good luck to everyone entering our Weekly Challenge.

Mother's Day Easel Card with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone! It's just around the corner from Mother's Day and so I thought I would make a Mother's Day Easel Card using Cheery Lynn Designs dies. It is also this week's challenge too, so check it out. This easel card base was made using the second largest "scalloped circle" It is about 5 inches which is the size I typically like to use, but if you like a bigger card you can use the biggest "scalloped circle" which is around 6 inches around. I then cut the "scalloped circle" the 3rd largest in a lighter purple. It is about the same size as the "Florence Filigree Doily". I die cut the doily out in white twice and saved all the pieces inside for later.

The "sweet williams strip  flowers" were cut twice and all the centers were inked with dark distressing purple. There are different size pearls in the centers. Each flower of the same size was layered on top of each other which will give you 4 flowers sizes per die cut run. The inside pieces of the "florence filigree" were originally white and I just inked both sides in green distressed ink.  The sentiment was from Microsoft Word and printed  in purple on white cardstock. The die cut is the third smallest "pierced stacker #4".  Afterwards, I fussy cut around the die in a dark purple cardstock to enhance it a bit more. Place pop dots under the sentiment because this will be how the card will stand up later.

Here is a closer view of the flowers and "flourish #17" leaves. They were die cut and then placed through the embossing machine to show the leaves lines. The "dandelions" were cut in white and then inked purple on the flower ends.

I added a purple double looped bow on top and you can see it folds flat for mailing or placing in an envelope. Lots of occasions you can use this card for...Birthdays, Thank You, Wedding, Thinking Of You....and of course Mother's Day!

Hope you enjoyed!

Red Poppy Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello,

I am glad that you have joined me, Corina, for today's blog post.

I have created my card with no sentiment. I find that sometimes I want to create and don't always have a reason at that moment. Then at other times,  I need a card and the cards that I have on hand don't fit the occasion - my added sentiments limit the card use!
I have created a lot of layers using the Square StitchNesting Doll Circles, the Nesting Doll Circles Shapes and the Horizon Fishtail Banner. I added my Red Poppy flower created using Judy's Blooms and the center using the base of the Medium & miniature rose in black cardstock. Tucked in the Dandelions in a blue and various foliage in grey.

Be Bold Card by Corina Finley

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn Crafters!

Corina here with you today to host the blog and share this weeks card! So lets get to the steps I used to create this card.

I started with a white cardstock base, added a layer on top using a die from the A2 Frames Rectangular in grey polka dot pattern paper, and corner rounded the right top and bottoms corners of each. I cut a layer from white text pattern paper and cut my matte using a die from the A2 Frames Rectangular in black cardstock. The vertical strip was from the same text pattern paper and matted in black cardstock.

I cut three circles using the Circle Classic - Silver Stackers die set. One in black cardstock, one in floral grey & white pattern paper and one in the turquoise small polka dot pattern paper. I cut the Candy Hearts Doily also from the turquoise small polka dot pattern paper, added the larger black cardstock circle to the back of the Doily and the turquoise small polka dot circle to the front.

On the black Polynesian Sails Mini Doily, I added my flowers and leaves. I layered these elements on to the card front and tucked in the thin border from the Deutschland Border Set. I added my sentiment to the circles and I was finished!

A Lifetime Together by Karen Maldonado

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Welcome Cheery Lynn friends!  It's Karen here sharing my version
of this week's challenge "Lace (real or faux)" Anniversary card.

I started by layering several strips of paper across my 4.25 x 7 card.
I tore some of the top and bottom pieces and ink distressed.
Then, I tucked layers of the Dancing Doily Lace Border
and  Siena Double Edge Border (which are both my faux 'lace strips')!

Then, I made a big Stacker Flower 6, and using the long strip from the
Black Eyed Susan Strip die, I made a center of my flower!
I tucked two of the  Dandelions flowers beneath the flower,
and layered a few  Tropical Leaves, and that's it!!

List of dies:

Come and play along in this week's challenge for a chance
to win a $20 gift certificate to the on-line store!!

Have a terrific day!
Hugs & Smiles,
Karen
