Beautiful Day Card with Cheryl Walker

5:00 AM 0 Comments

Hello crafty friends and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I have a super fun and sweet card made using Cheery Lynn's sweet Whimsical Lion die along with a few others as well. Love how cute this little guy is.

For the lion, I cut him out twice in white card stock, and then dusted his body with ink and then colored his mane with Copic markers E55 & YR24. Next I added some pink colored pieces of card stock behind his ears.  The black for the eyes was colored with marker and then I added Viva Pearl pen in black to give a 3-D look for the eyes. The nose I colored a gray, and then glued to the back of the face like I did the eyes.

The sentiment was stamped in black using JustRite Papercrafts stamps and the Mini Misti stamping tool. Design papers - I'm not sure who they are by, as those are from my stash, and didn't have any name on them. Lately I've been pulling from OLD OLD papers and scraps, trying to use some different colors and such.

For the doily I used Cheery Lynn's French Pastry Doily die, along with the Horizon Circle die and then the Circle Cut and Pierce die, all layered up.

Corner dies were cut using a green card stock, and is from the BD-17 Corners die. Lastly I added a bow using ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and then some of their flower embellishments.

DL102 French Pastry Doily Die

CABD-17 Corners

Jukebox with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! Sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs using the fabulous "Let's Go Retro" Release. This card is featuring the adorable jukebox. I wanted to use some colors so I added the fun colorful patterned papers in the background.

The french doily is behind the jukebox with the notes on the bottom.  I chose white instead of the traditional black. That's one the best part of die cuts....you can chose whatever colors you want. The sentiment was stamped in brown ink and fussy cut out.

Have a great day!

Faith, Hope & Love by Jenny Alia

Hi friends!  I'm back with a floral card.  I haven't made as many flowers lately and I've missed it.  There's something so soothing and maybe gratifying about making flowers.  I love how by changing the colors and how you bend the petals the look you can achieve is so different.

Because these flowers created using the Build a Flower #2 die were so large I used the big Fern Leaf to complement them and then added in some Dandelions as filler.

Springtime Birthday by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans, its JULIE here today. This last week in Scotland has been very cold and we have had a lot of snow and frost. Thinking of warmer days I decided to create a Birthday card using one of our latest Pop-Up Dies - Celebrate, along with spring coloured cardstock.

I shadowed layered my word Celebrate 3 times to make it pop and incorporate the colours on my card design and flowers.

My flowers were all cut out in white cardstock and shaded in the centres with some ink. Next I shaped the petals on my Embossing mat and added Flowersoft into the centres. The smaller flowers I bunched a few together in places and added single ones too for extra detail and interest.

I Love You with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello again! I'm sharing new card for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday using lots of
Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts. I love the big heart in the center. I distressed the edges of the "Heart shaker" and added little pearls on the edges. The adorable "hearts" have a couple more choices of design. It's all in one set of die cuts.

My go to "french pastry" is a great doily to have in your collection, die cut it in green. I also love the "flourish #8" for the leaves. I die cut it out in green and colored the leaves with a darker copic marker. I added a sheer green ribbon to add a little extra something.

A closer view....

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you enjoyed!

Lollipop Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all!
Today I have a super fun project I created for Cheery Lynn Designs using their beautiful dies. I love how this turned out, and really need to make some more.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my post for today!

So for the lollipop card you will need the DL184 Sophia's Heart die, it's the large one done in fuchsia card stock. Next I used Cheery Lynn's DL102 French Pastry Die.  That was cut in white card stock. Next on top of that is a circle die cut in a design paper like the design paper that is on the top layer. Both of those circles were cut using LPC4 Circle Pierce and cut tool LG silver. Next on top of that is the Flourish Frames B888,  Large frame cut in pink card stock, and the little one is cut in a white, then distressed with pink to match. Flowers are the B436 Tea Rose Medium flower , then the branches are from the B216 wreath strip. These are super fun and pretty easy to make. I love how they come together so nicely. You can layer as much or as little as you like, but for me I LOVE lots of layers.....hehehehe.  I hope this inspires you and have fun crafting!!!

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
I am very excited that you are here with me on Friday the 13th...do you believe in myths? Me not so much, but I never walk under a ladder. Today I'd like to show you a Christmas card.  Yes, you read it correct, a Christmas card from me and I did not fall or hit my head. I just felt like it. Call the papers!!! lol.....For this card I used the pretty "I Wish"collection by Maja Design.

Kerstige Groetjes: {Christmas Greetings}

This time I wanted to used the Poinsettia Strip as a focal point on my card so I cut that strip out six times and layered them to make the flowers. I first cut out every die I wanted to use on my card to later on add them to my background. I used the traditional Christmas colors for this card hope you like it.

Step card with a twist with Maggi

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi there Cheery Lynn fans, Maggi here to share a fun easel card with you.  Easel cards make such great display pieces and I decided to add a little twist to this one by giving the easel part a different shape.  I used a Cheery Lynn Designs die, Pierced Stacker 3 6 Piece Die Set , and diecut two pieces and used them to form my easel.  I love how it looks at the bottom propped against the button revealing the interior of the card.

Then I topped the pierced stacker with a French Pastry Doily diecut that served to frame my lovely chipboard piece from Graphic 45's Portrait of a Lady collection.  I added a pretty flower made with a flower diecut from the Bohemian Collection - Indie Bouquet - 6 Die Set .

I used a chipboard button from the Portrait of a Lady collection to create a stop for the easel.  Underneath the button I used paper layers and a pretty trim diecut with the Lady Kate Edger Die .

At the top left I made a little floral cluster with flowers cut again using the Bohemian Collection - Indie Bouquet - 6 Die Set and leaves using the Flourish Leaf Strip 5 Piece Die Set.  I just got this Flourish Leaf Strip die, it's already a favorite as it adds the perfect finishing touch to my floral clusters.

Timeless Photograph 8x8 Layout by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Today it's my turn again to show you how I used my precious "Cheery Lynn Designs"dies.
This time I made a 8x8 layout again {it's been ages since I did one} using a old picture of my mother in law, she is in her seventies now and on the picture she was just four years old, such a cutie pie...
I ordered some foam from England last week because I saw some lovely flowers made out of them on YouTube...and I have to say I LOVE that stuff.  I am hooked now lol.

Timeless Photograph:
I cut out the flower dies times four then I used my heat gun to curl my flowers. This layout came out so easily. For the flower centers I used some stamen and a diamond gem on top of that. These papers I used are from such a thick quality that it's really easy to distress it.

In some of the dies I left the cut out bits and pieces because I really think shabby chic is all about that.  The word stickers are inked with white ink and I added a treat underneath the picture. In my flower clusters I added some cheesecloth.

I really adore how much depth the flowers have with the foam & dies I used wow. I am totally going to make more flowers with my Cheery Lynn Designs flower dies on my next projects so keep a close eye on this amazing blog.

Cheery Lynn Design dies used:

Other products used: 49 and Market papers & stamps, Paste, Dusty Attic stencil, foam to make the flowers, Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, word stickers, cheesecloth, treat, steamen, prills, diamond gems, gesso and ink.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies.
Have a lovely weekend.
