Good evening all. It's blowing an absolute hoolie outside tonight, glad I'm inside! All ready for the Christmas tree in the morning then hubby can shampoo the rest of the sitting room carpet. Christmas cards all written and overseas ones posted...I must have forgotten something very important - I can't be this organised!!!

Christmas Card Club "Holly and Ivy"

Good morning all.

I went round all day yesterday thinking it was Sunday, so I guess today is a bonus! The weather forecast for today is appalling...we're off out shortly to take the kids to see the house we're buying so we should see it at it's worst! I think the rest of the day will be spent in the craft room.

Two weeks have fairly flown by  and it's Christmas Card Club time once again. Today Asha set us the theme of "Holly and Ivy".

Topper from Wild Rose Studio; paper from Papermania; ivy die from Joanna Sheen; snowflake, bow and button from my stash. Card and paper all came from my bit box.

If you'd like to see how the other girls interpreted the theme you'll find the list in my sidebar.

Challenges entered:
CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Jingle Belles - holiday leftovers
DLArt - Christmas
Paper Shelter - Christmas card
CHNC - use diecuts or punches

Christmas Card Club "Let it Snow"

Good morning all.

After spending Friday doing chores (including the basket of ironing) yesterday was spent crafting. I managed to finish some projects which had been sitting around since before my holidays and do some DT work.

Another two weeks have passed so it must be time for us girls to share our Christmas Card Club makes. the lovely Christine set the theme this time with "Let it Snow".

The bauble die is from Joanna Sheen's Signature Dies and was newly purchased just before my holidays. The embossing folder is from Spellbinders - this is an oblong folder but I positioned it to leave a top edge to match the sides and allowed the bottom to emboss over the edge. Sentiment is from Woodware Stamps. Finished with some black twine and a few gemstones. Another flat one for posting!

If you'd like to see the other girl's take on the challenge you'll find their names on my sidebar.

Crafting for all Seasons #90 "Birthdays"

Good morning all and a big welcome to all my new followers....I hope you enjoy your time here.

Urghhhh computers who'd have them....can't live with them, can't live without them!! I managed to install about 7 unwanted programs last night when an Adobe Flash update presented itself on my screen...I realised instantly something was wrong but it must have taken the best part of an hour to uninstall everything again!!

Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Birthdays". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. Our sponsor this time is Limited Runs who gave the DT images to work with. A slightly "more is more" card from me today after all the CAS ones of late. This is for Lora whose birthday is next month.

I've used Birthday Puppy coloured with promarkers. Papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Bella pack.  Background is made with a Martha Stewart punch a round the page set. Oval dies are from Spellbinders; fence die from Magnolia; star die is a Signature die from Joanna Sheen; sentiment was a recent magazine freebie. Ribbon, charm and gemstone from my stash.

I must admit he doesn't look a very happy chap considering it's his birthday or perhaps it's just the daft hat he's been made to wear causing the hangdog look!!

Fabulous Sponsor 2014

Wish, Believe

Good morning all.

Yesterday was a little better...I got happy post in the morning...a stamp order and a goody bag I'd won on FB from Cowling and Wilcox which contained lots of sample sizes of various paint mediums and a couple of paint brushes, one of which was exactly what I needed to use with my aquatints!
With a lingering migraine I hadn't managed any crafting during the day as I just couldn't concentrate but I did manage this last night.

I used the Grunge set of aquatints to make my background and used a little gesso around the edges and some water drops as a resist. The dies are Signature dies from Joanna Sheen and although bought a little while ago this is their first outing! The tickets are from LOTV and were one of my purchases at Harrogate. the bow and gem are from my stash. I did edge the topper with stickles which is still wet in the photo...hopefully it will look better dry!

Everything has been put on with foam pads/tape to give some dimension but it will probably still be flat enough to post.

Fireworks

Good morning all.

Better Together...now everyone needs to work together to make it work for everyone!

I needed a card for a swap with the theme of fireworks!! Really had no idea what to do until this came to life....just hope my swap partner likes it and considers it follows the remit!

Another faux pearl background....this time I mixed some black acrylic in with my pearlescent one...I could probably have afforded to have been slightly heavier handed with this one but heigh ho! I then used various distress inks in orange and yellow tones to ink it up. Starburst die is a Signature Die from Joanna Sheen and the banner is from Spellbinders. Sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. Card is finished with a few gems.

Challenges entered:
Crafty Sentiments Designs - autumn colours
The Sisters of Craft - anything goes
Crafty Girls Challenges - anything goes

Crafting for all Seasons #65 "Stitching - Real/Faux"

Good morning all.

Today it's time for a new challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Stitching - Real/Faux". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and the DT were given images to work with.

I've used Enchanted Dream and printed out the combination image and backing paper several times so I could decoupage the image. The paper already had lots of faux stitching on it which was a bonus! To finish I've added a Signature banner die from Joanna Sheen then used the waste heart and a gem in the bottom corner. Stamped sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio.

Do pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the girls inspiration, you won't be disappointed.

Challenges entered:
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT - use kraft cardstock
Lady Anne's Challenge - more than one layer
Oh La La Creations - stitching
The Paper Girls - cut it out
Polka Doodles - celebrations
