Love Builds A Garden

 I am a sucker for romance,
and can't resist a decent love story.

That's why I was so thrilled to post a copic project

on Valentine's day.

I choose "Full Heart", 

a digital image, made by Mo's digital pencil. 

While I was coloring, I looked for a title to use.

Elton John's song "love builds a garden"

was going through my head.

The image reminded me of those lyrics....

 " And love builds a garden
Grew it from the ground up
Each one of us knowing
Every inch of it was us
We pulled it all together
Hoping and believing
That love built this garden
For the two of us to dream in "

I hope you don't mind
when I get a little corny, 

as I dedicated today's post
to my own private cogardener.

Coloring wood

Hello there Copic fans!

It's Keren here, in this Sunday morning, with a new copic creation.

 For this project I used the digital image "A little birdie told me".

The girl in the image is leaning over a big wood windowsill, 

so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show you how I color wood.

I choose a bunch of browns E40, E42, E44, E47, E35, and start coloring...

With my E40  laid my firs layer, coloring all the wood area.

Than with my E42 I laid some strokes of color over the wood Lines.

And did the same withe my E44, 

I also colored the areas I wanted to be darker or for shading.

I made everything even by coloring again with the E40, to combine it all together.

And laid some more strokes of color with E44.

And with E47.

And with E35

If your page getting too wet with ink, let it rest for awhile, before adding more layers.

You can keep adding more layers until you are satisfied with the outcome.

On top of everything I flicked over with my E42.

For today's card I used a Digital Stamp called - Playing on the Swings

I bought it from the ETSY shop the Sugar Kissed Digital Stamp Co.

Isn't it the most sweet image?

I like it so much for it's vintagy and innocence look.

Für meine heutige Karte habe ich ein digitales Motiv namens Playing on the Swings verwendet. Ich habe es im ETSY Shop der Sugar Kissed Digital Stamp Co. gekauft. Ist das nicht total süß?
Ich mag besonders diesen unschuldigen Vintage-Look.

For background I used a cloudy sky paper "fresh air" made by Basic Grey

And for the frame I used "sailboat" by  October Afternoon.

Hello Copic People!

Hallo Copic-Leute!

It's sweaty Keren here today 
with a new project to show you.

Hier ist heute die schwitzende Keren

It's the middle of the day

Here in the center of Tel Aviv 

The wheather is steamy hot

The temperature can easily reach 40 degrees

The sun beats down brutally

We call it the July-August Heat 
 

The sanest thing you can do is

Look for a decent Air Conditioner

Copic On Fabric

Hello Copic fans!

Hallo Copic-Fans!

It's Keren here with a new project.

Today I would like to show you a technique 

which how you can use your Copic markers with fabrics.

Hier ist Keren mit einem neuen Projekt.

Heute möchte ich euch eine Technik zeigen,
mit der ihr Copic Marker auf Stoff verwenden könnt.

I tried before to color with Copic on fabric and wood, 

but the result can not be as good as the one you can achieve with paper.

So I decided to transform my paper coloring into fabric by using my

Home printer.

Ich habe schon zuvor versucht, mit Copics auf Stoff und Holz zu kolorieren,

aber die Ergebnisse können nicht so gut sein wie auf Papier.

Also habe ich mich entschlossen, meine Koloration auf Papier mit meinem

 Drucker in  Stoff zu verwandeln. 

This is the work process step by step... 

Hier kommt der Arbeitsvorgang Schritt für Schritt...

First you need to grab your Copic Markers.

Zuerst greift ihr euch eure Copic Marker.

Than pick an image, print it or ink it on your paper, and color it.

I used Lovable Avie by ChelseaLeDesign.

Dann sucht ihr ein Motiv aus, druckt oder stempelt es auf euer Papier und koloriert es.

Ich habe Lovable Avie von ChelseaLeDesign verwendet.

After your image is all colored up, scan it to your computer

and place it on a document, ready to be printed.

Nachdem ihr das Motiv koloriert habt,

scannt ihr es als Dokument ein, fertig zum Drucken.

Now it's time to prepare the fabric - first iron it.

I used Linen canvas.
Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, den Stoff vorzubereiten - erstmal bügeln.

Ich habe Leinwand verwendet.

Cut the fabric so it will be a little smaller than an A4 sheet

so it will match the printer and won't have loose ends.

Schneidet den Stoff so aus, dass er etwas kleiner als ein A4 Blatt ist,

damit er in den Drucker passt und nichts übersteht.

With tape, paste the fabric to a standard printer page.

Make sure it's as tighten it can be, so the 

paper-fabric combo will not jam. 

Klebt den Stoff mit Klebeband auf ein Blatt einfaches Druckerpapier.

Stellt sicher, dass es so glatt wie möglich anliegt, damit die 

Papier-SToff-Kombination nicht steckenbleibt.

The image is perfect over the fabric.

Now you need to take off the tape and decide what you want to do with it.

You can stuff it and make a doll or a small key holder

Das Motiv ist jetzt perfekt auf dem Stoff.

Jetzt müsst ihr das Klebeband abmachen und entscheiden, 

was ihr mit dem Motiv machen wollt. Ihr könnt es ausstopfen und 

eine Puppe daraus machen oder einen kleinen Schlüsselanhänger.

I made an Embroidery hoop decor.
Just compose the fabric between the wood hoops and strech it well.
Ich habe eine Stickrahmen-Dekoration gemacht.
Legt den Stoff zwischen die beiden Holzringe und zieht ihn schön glatt.

Cut the odds and ends

Schneidet den überstehenden Stoff ab...

and that's it

Ready to hang!

Fertig zum Aufhängen
