Ice Skating

Hello Copic lovers!
Today is my turn and I would love to get you inspired by using Copic markers!
As I promised no fairies today. I used an image from Tiddly Inks called Ice Skater.

My skin color combo is E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20 for the cheeks. I always start with E0000 all over the skin. Maybe I should try some other skin combos....

I go over my E11 with E21 in order to darken my shadows. I colour the cheeks with R20.

As this is a winter image I decided to use cold colors - cold greys and blues
For the hair I used C0, 02, 05, 07 and Black, starting with my lightest one and finishing with black.

I colored her dress with B91, 93, 95.
I do love this colour combo a lot.
Again I start with my lightest one B91 and finishing with B95. I brushed the colors on the lightest spots a little with my blender.

I added some shadows again with greys. C2 and C0, and blended with colorless blender.

Hope you enjoy this one.
Happy coloring and be inspired!

Definition of Friendship

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my colouring of a cute Tiddly Inks digi stamp, called Emmy and Wryn BFF. These girls are great for practicing skin and hair.

As always, I start with the skin. E04 for the darker shadows and then blend it out a little with E11.

I normally use E00 here but today I am using E01, followed by E000

For Wryn's hair I used E70's, right from E70 to E79. I  just keep adding a little of the darker colours  at a time until I am happy with how it looks.

For Emmy's hair I used E71 for shadow and then E53 followed by E50 for the lightest areas. I went back in with the E71 and E53 a second time.

On their dresses I used
B13, BV11, and BV01
R39, R37 and R35

For the shoes, belt and cardigan:
YR17, YG23, and YG21
YR07, Y17, and Y08

To add a little shadow underneath the images:
W7, W5, W3, and W00

And here is the finished image.

Thanks for dropping by today. Until next time, happy colouring

MFT Video Tutorial - Flutterby Friends

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today some cute Copic inspiration! My Favorite Things have been releasing stamps featuring Christy Croll's work (Tiddly Inks), so I just had to create a card with one of them.

I picked the super cute Flutterby Friends set for today's post. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on an SMLT Art Bristol haïku card, put a piece of washi tape on it to "cut" the card in two and colour my scene.

Here is my final card:

I have recorded the whole Copic colouring process, which you can see below:

I hope you will find it useful, and if you do and feel like it, feel free to subscribe, your support truly means the world to me ❤️

The only things I added after the video ended are touches of glitter pen and a bit of Wink of Stella on my girl's wings. The sentiment is from the I Love You More set by MFT too.

Below you can find a recap of all the colours I used:

Skin: BV00, E11, YR000, 00
Hair: E35, 59, YR23
Clothes: B02, 05, 18, 39

Spotlight on Copic Yellows & a Tiddly Inks video!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share some Yellow inspiration! At the end of every month, I  post a card featuring one colour family and I picked Ys for today's post. I really like focussing on one colour family, I am clearly NOT a Yellow person and rarely use them, so it's nice to push myself out of my comfort zone!

There are 12 Y Ciao and 20 Y Sketch markers. My card today uses Y02, 06, 11, 15, 21, 35, 38. You don't need to have ALL markers to get good results, just pick a few and use them for different parts of your image, or just by changing one marker in your combo:) Here is my final card:

The image I used is by Tiddly Inks, called Wryn Ducky Dance. Of course, thinking of yellows, my first thought went to ducks ;) I printed my image and die cut it with an MFT die, then coloured it in Copics. The DPs I used are by Doodlebug.

You can see the whole colouring process below:

Just a few tips and remarks:

- Note how I shaded my Yellow with a light BV on my ducks, a purplish colour works well for shading yellow.
- I put a bit of yellow here and there to have some harmony in my whole image: a touch of yellow on her boots, as if they were slightly tinted by all the yellow around, a bit of Y21 in the background, of course a yellow umbrella with some markers already used for the ducks (Y38, and Y15 replaced by Y35) and a couple more for a nice slight difference (Y06, 02). I also put a touch of yellow highlight in Wryn's hair.
- I matched my yellow markers with BV markers, yellow and purple are complementary so will always work well together. You find complementary colours on the colour wheel, they are opposite each other;)
- For the rain, don't be afraid to add a few strokes of any light blue colour across your image - it's a bit scary, but you will get a nice suggestion of falling rain. Also, you can add a few lines with a white gel pen, which I did in the bottom part of my image to suggest rain, and I also added a bit of white on the ground if you look closely :)

Here is a close up on the image and the list of all Copics I used:

Skin: BV00, E000, 00, 11
Hair: E35, 39, Y21
Clothes: BV08, 13, 17
Boots: E31, 33, 35, 39, Y11
Umbrella: E33, 39, Y02, 06, 35, 38
Ducks: BV02, E33, 35, Y11, 15, 38
Ground: B60, E41, 43
Background: E31, 33, 50, Y21
Rain: B60

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

Wryn Rock Slimline Shaker Card

Hi all,

Are you ready for a new post?
Today I am showing my new slimline shaker card with this fun digital stamp from Tiddly Inks, called Wryn the rocker.

I have printed the digi onto Perfect Colouring paper and have started colouring...
inspired by my own little rocker in the house.

Skin : E00, E11, E04, R20, R22

Hair : YR21, YR12, E23, E57, E59

Skirt : B05, B28, B39

Shirt& stockings : BG23, BG49, BG78

Boots : E29, E18, E08

Guitar : E97, E99, N8, N10

The image was ready to be fussy cut ...

Behind the image I have added a rotating mechanism. This die is fun as you do not have anything popping out on the other side

Time to assemble to whole card..
I have cut a piece of white cardstock (17 x 21cm) and scored it on 8.5 cm to create the card base .

The slimline die was cut twice, one time out of special cardstock, and one time out of foam.

I have put a piece of acetate in between ..in this way the shaker was easy to create.
I have passed  a anti static pouch onto the acetate ..just to make sure not everything sticks to the acetate.

Slim postage die : Whimsy
Musical notes : Marianne Design
Letters : I -crafters
Stitched rectangle : MFT
Rotating mechanism : Impronte D'autore

When you move the shaker, the mini pearls and mini musical notes diecuts will move..
And if you touch the coloured image it seems she is a real rocker that moves forward and backwards.

The letters were cut out of blue green foam and black card stock.

Hope you have enjoyed my "rocker" post..see you next post!
Thanks for visiting the blog.

Long Red Hair and Video

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a colouring video and card featuring an image just released at Tiddly Inks, called Batty 4 U. It can be used for Halloween of course, but works for other occasions too!

Here is my finished card:

The printed paper comes with the image - I merged the digi paper and image in Microsoft Word just as you would do when combining 2 images and printed my image. I coloured it in Copics and stamped a sentiment at the end.

You can see the colouring process in the video below:

Here i a close up on the finished image:

Skin: E50, 51, 53, V22
Hair: E09, 79, YR21, 24, 27
Orange Clothes: BV13, YR04, 07
Grey Clothes: BV20, 22, 25
Bat / Black: N4, 6, 8

For the skin, I chose the E50s which are great for a pale yellowish complexion and seemed great for a gothic image.
For the hair, I started with my darkest colour and really followed the direction of the hair making long lines. I used a very light colour at the end in the highlights with just one touch of colour to keep it light.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs,
Delphine xx
