Turtle-y Awesome 10 Year Old

Happy Thursday and Happy Birthday to my youngest kiddo!

It's always fun to create a card for my sweet boy because I know that he truly loves each one he receives...and he keeps them all!  He has grown up in my craft room with me and can often be found right beside me, creating his own masterpiece.  I love it and cherish every moment that he still wants to spend hanging out with me.
Turtle Friends is such a fun stamp set!  I love his cute little smile and the party hat makes him the life of the {birthday} party! After stamping this cute guy in Granny Apple Green, I added a bit more with the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  The little tail and toes are the cutest!

I had quite the mess going on in the creation of this card.  I had so many bits and pieces of heat embossed and fussy cut paper all over my desk to create the PERFECT birthday sentiment.  1 punch, 1 die set and 3 different stamp sets and so many colors later, this cute card came to life!
We are celebrating the big day at the lake, soaking up as much summer fun in the sun and water as we can!  Summer birthdays are the BEST!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a turtle-y awesome day!

Hats off Birthday ~ #HSSSC365

Hello friends and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!
I had a lot of fun creating two different cards with this sketch!  It was fun flipping it on it's side to create a whole different look!
It's birthday season around here!  My youngest always seems to be invited to so many birthday parties this time of year, so I always try to be stocked up on birthday cards.  Hats Off is by far my most loved and used set from the new catalog so far!  I love how it works for any occasion and for anyone!

I love the hat stamped and die cut in Polished Pink, especially with some other summery fun blocks of color!  This card has a definite beach vibe!
Next up are some bold primary colors for a #1 Happy Birthday wish!  Anyone else think of Forrest Gump seeing this hat in Poppy Parade?  I love it!
My stash of birthday cards is looking pretty good after adding these two to the mix! I love this bundle and you can be certain that this won't be the last card I create with it.  The possibilities are endless!

I hope you will join in the fun and play along with us this week!

So Sparkly

Welcome to an all new Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we SO sparkly!!
You may just be joining the hop or you may have gotten here from my stamping BFF Wendy Weixler.  I always love her creations!!

I'm still mourning the loss of my favorite Glimmer Papers, so my cards are a little bit more shiny than sparkly, but that's okay....right?
Yes, I am still working on Christmas cards. Can I let you in on a little secret???  This is the first time in a while that I have actually sent out some of my handmade cards instead of the quick and easy photo cards.  Thanks to COVID, I've had a bit more time to create this year, but still not quite enough to get all of my cards sent out on time.  It's the thought that counts, right?

I decided to pull out the Sweetest Time Bundle for my first card. I haven't made much with this bundle, but it's still one of my favorites.  I love the sweet sentiments and pretty images. I went with less traditional Christmas colors and kind of love how this turned out!  I heat embossed each candle with silver, then added a layer of holly and greenery.  I gave it just a touch more of sparkle and shine with some silver holly berries and some bling.

Next ups is a cheerful and fun birthday card using the Stitched Stars dies.  I don't know why I waited so long to use these dies. I LOVE them!  I stuck with the same color combo of Misty Moonlight, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green and threw in  some bits of Silver Foil.  Kind of simple, but fun, right?  The sentiment comes from A Grand Kid...such a great stamp set!

The sparkly hop doesn't stop here!  Next up is the talented Melissa Davies.  You don't want to  miss what she has to share this month!  Thanks for hopping with us! We are forever grateful for all of you!
