I love this sketch and had so much fun making an 8th birthday card for a friends niece!  Living in a house full of boys, I embrace ANY opportunity to create something pretty and PINK!

Not-so-traditional Christmas Colors

 Good morning happy stampers!  Are you all ready for Christmas or are you scrambling around like I am finishing up those few last minute details?  With as fast as time goes by, I need to start my prep for next years Christmas on New Years day!

One of my favorite parts of Christmas are all of our family traditions...decorating the tree, our beloved Monty the Elf, Christmas movies and so much more!  But sometimes it's fun to break tradition and do something different....gasp!  Okay, not too different, but how about some different colors for a Christmas card?  Don't worry, they aren't too wild and crazy...I'm only changing up the traditional red for some Watermelon Wonder and throwing in a little Pool Party :-)

I had so much fun with this card that I decided to flip things over, change a few elements and turn it into a birthday card!  I love it when this happens!

Celebrate 2016

Happy, Happy Friday stampers!!!  This has been one long week for me and I am STOKED that the weekend is finally here!  We have a busy weekend ahead of us, but it will be a FUN one!
We are getting a head start on our New Years celebrating over at The Friday Mashup today.  I am the host this week with a festive New Years Theme with a mashup using Black, Silver and Gold colors.

You might be wondering where these fabulous numbers are coming from, right?!?!?  You will be able to get your hands on the VERY soon as they are in the upcoming Occasions Catalog.  The Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Framelits are awesome and were perfect for today's card!
With the help of the Magnetic Platform, I was able to line my numbers up just how I wanted them.  I used the negative images and popped them up on some Silver Glimmer paper...love it!

So...a sad story about the Celebrate sentiment...I had to walk away from my craft table while I was working on this card and in the time that I was away, my pesky cat got into things and carted the Celebrate stamp off, which my puppy ended up finding later and chewed one end off :(  I'm so bummed!!!  Guess that teaches me a lesson to clean up as I go and not leave anything out...or beg my hubby to put a door on my office!

Shimmer and Shine Birthday

It's Friday, it's Friday...and I get a long weekend away...it's Friday!  

Can you tell I'm a little excited?!?!  It's the first weekend in MONTHS that my hubby has off (thanks to a few shift trades) and we are headed out of town for a much needed family get away.

But, before we start with our weekend fun, it's time for some Friday Mashup fun!  Amy has a fun challenge for us this week!  Birthday is the theme and the mashup is using a technique of your choice.  Oh-so-many possibilities!

I've been on a major watercolor kick lately, so I decided to do a fun watercolor background created by inking up a piece of Window sheet paper, spritzing it and smashing it on top of the watercolor paper.  By doing this with a couple of different colors, you end up with a really pretty and one-of-a-kind background.  I also used the kissing technique for the ballons...fun way to add a little more to your favorite stamps!

Washi Feathered Birthday ~ Monday Montage

We had a BUSY, but FUN weekend!  We helped celebrate the 2nd birthday of our little buddy Alex and this month's  Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Color Challenge was perfect for a little boy birthday card!

You can't ever put a card in a naked envelope, right?!?!   I used the Epic Alphabet stamp set to stamp Alex's name and added a few balloons from the Hooray It's Your Day stamp set...it was easily clipped to his birthday gift with a cute In-Color clothespin...fun!

Beautiful Lotus Blossom Birthday

Hello and Happy New Year!!  I hope you all had a safe and fun night!  My boys and I had a fun night of playing games and watching a movie over at my parents house...and since we are on the west coast, we celebrated the New Year with everyone on the east coast and were snug in our beds by 10PM!

I'm back in full on crafting mode and am happy to be kicking of the New Year with all of the fabulous ladies over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  It has been so great getting to know everyone and I am super excited for all of our new Design Team members who are joining us this year....WELCOME!

I have a pretty card that I CASE'd from the 2015 Sale-a-Bration catalog...love the Lotus Blossom stamp set!

I used some of the beautiful Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP, which you can earn for FREE with a $50 purchase during SAB.  This paper is all white with glossy patterns that is amazing when spritzed with a little color!
