Valentine Cards

Back again with some Valentine cards to share with you!

This first one will be entered into the Challenges at Memory Box, It's All About Love, Clean And Simple, Simon Says Monday, Young At Heart, and Simon Says Wednesday, The Color Of Love

I was on a Valentine card making kick, but I was trying to make all easy, flat, mailable cards.

Papertrey Ink tree stamp, Through The Trees. Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp, Labeled With Love.  Ink in Black Licorice.  Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Blush spritzed all over, which gives a little bit of sparkle and shine.

White Marker to create snowy background, as well as a swipe from a White Frost ink pad.  Heart die by Memory Box, Homespun Heart.  I need to glue down the tail as you can see the shadow in this photo.

Two additional CAS (and almost flat) cards.  Spellbinders Hearts dies, cut through base card stock and Designer Paper and then layered together on the inside, topped with a heart button.  Impression Obsession Looped Heart die.  Papertrey Ink Swoosh die and stamp set.  Inside sentiment stamped in Real Red ink by Simon Says, Labeled With Love.

Thanks for popping in, LOVE it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Hello Stencil

Hello!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Reverse Stenciling, WOW! Embossing Powder, Simon Says Monday, Patterned Paper and Simon Says Wednesday, Add Some Shimmer.

Here's Betsy's VIDEO so you can try this technique too!  I used a stencil I found in a long lost stash of them, kind of all flourishy.  Inks in Wisteria Wonder and Melon Mambo.  Papertrey Ink's Swoosh stamp set used, heat embossed in Black on to a Vellum strip.

Designer Paper layered on to lilac card stock using MFT's Bracket Edge Duo dies.  Pink Rhinestones for accent and Wink Of Stella Clear Pen for shimmer.....which is super difficult to see.  No matter what angle I photographed it.

I did paint the WOS on to each little flourish swirl.  Totally sparkles in real life.

Thanks for popping by.

Enjoy~~

Graduation Wallets

Good Afternoon!

I made a couple of 'wallet's for the Challenge over at Papertrey Ink, Make It With Money.

I do love the wallets that Lexi created, she was even kind enough to supply us with the measurements HERE on her Blog.

I'm not too crazy about my creations but they both are for our 2 nephews who graduate in June.....trust me, they won't care what they look at as long as there is money on the inside!

Papertrey Ink Swoosh stamp and die set.  I also used a Glittery Gold Brad and a little metal hardware closure.  Crystal Drops in Neptune.

Papertrey Ink Daydreamer stamp.  Altenew 2016 stamp set.  Both heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder.  Corner Rounder.

Ehhhh.....

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~

Birthday Butterflies

Good afternoon!  We have had sunshine ALL day!  It is a miracle!

My card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Ink Blending Through Die Cut Masks and Simon Says Wednesday, Stencil.

I created the mask, a stencil if you will, using a butterfly die from Dies R Us, Butterfly #2 set.  Cut it out of Vellum as Lizzie did in this VIDEO.   I used the Papertrey Ink stamp and die sets, Swoosh.

Inks in; Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, So Saffron, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder.  I love the soft tones sponging the ink colors achieves, it is so pretty!  I colored the small adhesive pearls with Copic Markers to coordinate with the colors of each butterfly.

This card measures 3.5 x 5.5 inches.

Thanks so much for fluttering by.

Enjoy~~

Papertrey Ink April 2016 Blog Hop

Hello!

I am once again participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Inspirational Photo
I was drawn to the shapes and the colors, the different shades.  I stamped off once before stamping my images in each color.

I used the Papertrey Ink sets; Simple Sunflowers (stamp and dies) and the Swoosh die set.   Inks in Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Black Licorice.  Background stamped in Versa Mark ink and Clear Embossing Powder.

Layered Hello die cuts.  Crystal Drops in Ebony (these things are AHmazing!)  Gingham Ribbon, Jute Twine and Button for accents.  I love that sweet little Sunflower Charm.

I will also be entering this card into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Show Us Your Metal.

From Me To You

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Ink Blending Over Heat Embossing.

I used the Daydreamer and Swoosh stamp sets and the Hexagon Cover Plate die all from Papertrey Ink.  Using Versa Mark Ink I stamped my 'foliage' and covered it in White Embossing Powder, then I heated it.  Blending Tempting Turquoise over the embossed panel, leaving some white spaces too.    Love the look of them all scattered about and the ink really makes them POP!    I cut Blue Raspberry and Designer card stock out using the cover plate, which I trimmed down, only using a portion.  This still lets my embossed 'foliage' peek through.

Stamped my sentiment and added that panel and one lone enamel dot for accent.

FUN!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Round Happy Birthday Card/Tag

Good Morning.....it's been so long!

Today's creation will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Create Along With Us, March 2016.

I fell in love with Kay Miller's GORGEOUS Script Swirls Birthday Tag:

Fantastic, right???  So I thought I would CASE her project.

Only  I am calling mine a CAPE.....Copy And Pray Everything -- looks ohhhkay.

I used water color paper and painted my inks in; Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi, this is kind of fun, especially when they do not turn 'muddy' as so many of my projects do.  I then used Spellbinders Classic and Lacy Circle dies to create my shape and frame.  A Stampin' Up! Tags And Labels Framelit die was attached in between my layers.  Added an eyelet and some cording as accents as well as a swirl strip of Adhesive Black Pearls (which I cut).

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Swoosh and Phrase Play # 5 dies (I dissected the 'happy' from the PP#5 die) and the Flower Favorites stamp and die sets.  A bit of Wink Of Stella Clear on the butterfly accent.

I know I can not compete with Kay's but she certainly inspired me to try!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday.....Clink!

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Ombre Stenciled Background, Simon Says Monday, Take A Leap Into The Unknown, and Simon Says Wednesday, Touchy Feely.

This was a fun technique!  I made a stencil using the Chevron Vertical Cover Plate by PTI, using inks in So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral, worked like a charm!    The stamp and die sets are Uncorked and Swoosh, also by PTI.  I made my small Ombre Panel on one side and then cut card stock using the Cover Plate, the design continues from one side to the other quite fluidly.  A bit of ribbon to dissect the two, sequins for celebration accents and Stickles filling the wine glasses.....CLINK!

Lots of texture from the sequins, chevrons and dried Stickles.  And what a better clean slate than a fresh new year starting, with a birthday celebration, to all that comes!

Thanks for popping in, I appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Butterfly Tag

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; MFT Sketch, MFT Color, Simon Says Monday, Inspired By A Song, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Floral.

(oh bummer his little butterfly antenna is smooshed)
I used the MFT Stitched Tradition Tags and Blueprints 12 die cuts, Cheery Lynn Butterfly 6 die as well as PTI's Swoosh stamp and die sets.  The floral die cut background is Michael's Brand, Recollections.  Eyelet and Ribbon for accents.  I colored the Vellum Butterfly with Copic markers and then 'painted' on a bit of Pearl Ex for shimmer.  I don't know why I don't color Vellum more often, totally changes up the look.

The song that inspired this card is by Mariah Carey, Butterfly:

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly

Gosh when my daughter was young she played Mariah all the time.....flashback!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Happy Mail Thank You!

Good Morning!  A bit chilly here....-3 degrees, feels like -24.....yikes!  It's going to warm up to 13, so that will be great!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Saturday Happy Mail.  To make a thank you card for the PTI's Warehouse Crew AND mail it!  I always loooooooooove getting orders fro PTI, first because, it's new stamping supplies, secondly they wrap each order like a special little gift, almost makes it easier on the wallet--they know what they're doing!  lol

I made a little Shaker Happy Mail Thank You card.  I started with the Phrase Play #5 die as my shaker base, Hexagons Cover Plate die, Happy Hexagons, Simple Sunflowers and Swoosh stamp sets....all by Papertrey Ink.  I got a great deal on the Designer Paper at Michael's one day.  Original price 19.99 for a 12x12 pad on sale for 5.99....I got 2 different ones.  This is  Tea Party by Craft Smith.  Filled with beautiful colors and fabulous flowers AND some great metallic papers too, like this dotted one.  Once I found the paper I knew I had to drag my Minc out and add some Gold Foil accents, a match made in heaven! I Foiled the 'happy' and some hexagon die cuts, they really POP!

MFT Traditional Stitch Tag die, large Gold Sequins, Ribbon and Jute Twine for accents.  Corner Rounder and EK Success Tag Punch for small sentiments.

Whenever I make a Shaker card I ALWAYS use this technique Heather shares with us in this video, makes life super easy!  Shaker Card Video.

What a nice thing to do, have us all thank the PTI Warehouse Crew for all of their hard work!  I love Companies who know they can't do it all by themselves!  YAY to you all!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Hope you get some Happy Mail this week!  (Nancy I owe you one!)

Enjoy~~

With Love.....lots and lots of love!

Good Morning!

Today's card was made for the following Challenges;

Papertrey Ink, Valentine Ombre Stamping
Stamp TV, Make A Splash
Dies R Us, Love
Simon Says Wednesday, Have A Heart
Mod Squad, Hearts and/or Flowers
Double D, Pretty Pink Hearts
ScrapyLand, Anything Goes!

I started with the GKD stamp set, True Love, and this beautiful heart border.  I used inks in Pirouette Pink, Melon Mambo and Rose Red to create my Ombre effect.  Then I splattered the card stock with craft inks in Light Pink, Bright Magenta and Turner Ink to create my Splash Of Color.  The 'with love' die is from Papertrey Ink, the Swoosh set and was cut in Innocent Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Passionate Pink and Cherry Red, creating another Ombre effect, these were also layered onto Black Onyx card stock.  The inside border heart die is by Impression Obsession, Looped Heart.

It looks kind of messy, but it actually makes a sweet little note card, perhaps to top a box of chocolates from The Chatham Candy Manor.

Thanks for stopping by, LOVE it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Butterfly Love

Well hello!

I trust you all survived the Holidays.  Ours were just lovely, but I am glad that they are over, turning the calendar on a new page, a bright clean slate!  I always love this time of year....the beginning when ALL things are possible.  Happy New Year!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Adding Color To Stamped Images and Mod Squad, One Die Cut, hosted by the ever popular Kathy Krug   Head on over to her Blog and read about some very exciting news she has going on!  ;)

I had fun with this card, so nice to use fresh bright colors......Christmas was so last year lol.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp and dies set, Flower Favorites (butterflies), stamp set, Daydreamer (colorful dots) and the Swoosh die (word die cuts).

I cut out the butterflies completely, stamped the images and then colored a bit deeper color outlining the butterflies (kind of hard to see).  I then added a crease and mounted them on the negative space of the card stock, lined with black card stock underneath.....they kind of POP a bit more like this!  I also added a bit of Wink Of Stellar Clear to the single yellow dots.

Thanks so much for popping in....now rush right on over to wish Kathy future success!

Enjoy~~

Sending You xoxo

Good Morning!

I am entering my card in to the Challenge at Mod Squad, Pattern Your Paper, hosted by my BFF Judy Woodland. she's fun and fabulous and uber talented.

Jen McGuire had this VIDEO recently, stamping tone on tone.  I liked the technique and figured I would give it a try for Judy's Challenge.....glad I did.  I am NOT comparing my work to Jen's but I do like how it came out.

I used Papertrey Ink's Simple Sunflower and Swoosh stamp sets.  I stamped all over Gina K Designs, Sweet Corn card stock with More Mustard ink.  I hi-lighted the leaves with a White Glaze Sakura Pen.  I then took the eraser end of a pencil and 'stamped' dots around using White ink.

Layered the background on to black card stock to make it POP.  Using an MFT Stitched Tradition Tag die I stamped my sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink.  A little black and white gingham checked ribbon and jute twine to 'tie' it all together.

This is a really FUN technique to make and again, your possibilities are endless.

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Hello again!  Still in my craft room!  Shocker!!!

This sweet little card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Anything With Wings and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Talk about Clean And Simple!  Wow!  I used PTI stamp sets, Swoosh and Flower Favorites (butterfly).  Inks in Melon Mambo and Tuxedo Black.  'Randomly' placed sequins--you know how hard it is to get them just right.....randomly lol

That's it.  End of post.  ;)

With Love Tag

Good Morning!  Another glorious day here, can't get enough of them!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Die Cut Kissing, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!  and Simon Says Work It Wednesday.

This technique was giving me a run for my money, until I saw my good friend Sharyn Polesel make her beautiful entry!  THEN it all made sense!  Thank you Miss Sharyn!

I used the stamp and die sets from PTI, Lovely Layers and Swoosh.  Tag and Flourish die are from MFT, Traditional Stitched Tags and Fancy Flourish.  I cut out a flourish and used that as the kissing die.  (that was pure genius and ALL Sharyn's technique!!!)  The flowers were cut and stamped in Melon Mambo ink and then kissed on to the flourish die cut, if you look closely you can see some swirls, which I also hi-lighted using a Sakura Clear Star Glitter Pen.  I stamped 3 flowers, one was layered with the die cut.

Found this gorgeous Designer Paper in my stash by S-E-I, it has glitter and embossing on it.  Everything was adhered to the tag which was also layered on black card stock so it would POP!  Flourishes and sentiment in black as well as a couple of brads and an eyelet for accents.

I really love this look and will try and remember to use it again.  And without Sharyn I know I would still be trying to figure this all out.  :)

Thanks so much for coming by, love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

The Papertrey Ink stamp sets are Flower Favorites and Swoosh

Added texture using a Sizzix Embossing Folder.

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Using Gelatos With Stamps and Simon Says Monday, Don't Abandon The Coral.

This. Was. So. Much. FUN. To. Make.

I started by hand cutting a tag.  Lots of PTI dies and stamp sets used; Day Dreamer, Flower Favorites, Love & Marriage and Swoosh.  Mixed and matched, stamped and cut, love them!  Inks in; Antique Linen, Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron.  MFT Bracket Edge Duo (fantastic shape!)  Ribbon and Tiny Brads for accents. Tag popped up using 3D Pop Dots.  I used the Yellow 4 pack of Gelatos, which has light and dark yellow and light and dark orange colors.  Working them in to the side panel, dot and flower stamped images.

Designer Paper from my stash.  A very HAPPY Hello kind of card!

Appreciate you coming in for a closer look.  Have a wonderful day!
