A clean and simple Saturday

Hi everyone :D
I hope you are all having a good weekend and you don't have a stinking cold like I do :(
I am sorry to say that I just have the one card for you today and I have kept it clean and simple to fit with the current Crafts and Me challenge. If you haven't taken part yet get over there now as there is a great prize up for grabs and your card should be nice and quick to do as the challenge is to keep your creation clean and simple.
For my card I have used the gorgeous stamp from Hannah Lynn called Winter green wishes available HERE from the brilliant Crafts and Me. In case you are looking at this from out side of the UK there is now even more reason to buy from Crafts and me as there is a new lower postage rate so go ahead and fill your basket :D
I have coloured this beauty with promarkers and then added some sparkle with stickles. I have then mounted her on foam pads and then on gold embossed card before putting on the card.

A round up!

Its meeeee again with my round up of creations! I'm really spoilt for choice with all the new designs and many more coming so keep an eye out so you can be amongst the first to grab em! Also if you pick up this months Craft Stamper (Feb 10) you'll see one of Teresas stamps, The Butterfly Keeper by Hannah Lynn in there for my project on the easel post it note holder. Its a lovely stamp, one of my favs, very bold, can colour any way you like for a variety of occasions. This is a blue and turquoise one below which was inspired by one of my kids snakes lol! Well its more a piece of fluffy material stuck to a stick but they think its a snake :)

This is one from Lemon Shortbreads range and is Gift Melody. When Vera was designing these Teresa asked me what design I'd lke so I said one holding a parcel because change the colours and you can use her for xmas - versatile! She has such a pretty face Melody doesn't she? Theres some new ones coming soon which are also stunning, I absolutely love ALL of them! On top of the parcel here I used a tiny scrap of pink organza ribbon and tied it in a knot and secured with a glue dot just for a more 3d look - see not even tiny offcuts of ribbon are wasted!

This one is Christmas Melody, again versatile as you could stick a posy on there to cover the christmas candles and its an any occasion ;) I did the dress in white on this one but then I scribbled some clear sakura stardust pen on and spread it with my fnger to get rid of the scribble lines and gave the dress sparkles!

This is also one of my favs, Flapper Girl Melody, I love exploring this stamp! My DD asked for an altered candle for someone with black and white decor and she was just right for this. The lady loved it!
Flapper girl done a totally different colourway again, experiment and play with these images to your heart's content!

This is the very beautiful Wintergreen by Hannah Lynn who I've done in green, Blue, red and pink and she looks lovely in any colour you choose. I went for an afro-caribbean tone on this just to experiment and think she turned out lovely with darker skin :)

This is another of Hannahs called Glacier-Lily Fairy I was playing with my new airbrush with this to do the background :D For the bumps on the mushroom when you colour dont worry about going round them just colour over them and use an opaque pen such as sakura souffle or any opaque paint such as the 3d lacquer in the Crafts & Me shop here and then do the bumps at the end :) For smaller details that your nib is wider than such as if you use promarkers then switch to a pen like sakura stardusts or gel pens to do finer detail ;)

This is another angle showing the finish to the card. I use Glimmer Mist on most of my cards and own just 3 colours - Iridescent Gold, Pearl and Dazzling Diamonds. As you can see from above it doesn't affect the design and underlying colours until it catches the light then its wowzers sparkly! I tend to use the iridescent gold on yellow/orange/red colour group cards, pearl on pinks and pastels and dazzling diamonds which is almost clear and the one to use for a really subtle sparkle on darker colours, the blues and purples. You only need a couple of squirts, I tend to squirt it in the air and waft the card through the spray so I dont get big blobs. It really is a beautiful finish to a card and also when your bottle gets down to a quarter add more water back up to about half as theres plenty of mica left in the bottom ;)

This is a stamp by Whiff of Joy - Yes they're at Crafts & Me too! This one is Dancing Willow. I made this for my mates 40th as she's a party girl just like that lol! I actually won this stamp on a challenge blog for my pink version of Wintergreen, this was the prize and then I made this card with her and won more stamps lol! We have challenges at Crafts & Me too so if you've not played before pop over HERE and join in!

And finally Cinderella by Kraftin Kimmie, I just love love love that dress!
I'll be back soon with more - many many more!!

Here's some I made earlier....

Good Afternoon *waves madly* and how are we getting on with the Xmas card making? I'm popping over to show some creations I've made recently using gorgeous stamps available at Crafts & Me which you may not have seen yet :) I've won blog awards for several of them and the feedback has been immensely positive but then they're absolutely gorgeous to work with so thats half the battle!

First up my Wintergreen Wishes in Pink, I saw a challenge for Pink Christmas and I just had to enter it, who can't resist a bit of pink! This one won Top 3 and Top 5 awards and a Top prize and she's so easy to colour and looks nice in any combo you choose! She's coloured with Promarkers and highlghts with sakura stardust pens. I sprayed the flowers with cosmic shimmer (Angel Mist) to match. She has long flowing locks and a big face area and really is simple to colour so if you're looking for something thats quick look no further.
Here she is again in traditonal Xmas colours for a totally different look :)

Next up is one of the new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps - Cinderella. I just loooove her dress and can lose myself colouring her, beautiful and suitable for many occassions (Xmas, Birthday, Prom etc) Again another one that's easy to colour though I do like to spend my time on her and again colour is no object, anything you like :)

This pretty lady is Krista by Hannah Lynn and again another one that screams COLOUR ME! Oh I do love this stamp and like playing around with different colours in her hair :) Here's a blue and a pink version with a pink and yellow version is on the shop.

More of a nautical one here and this is Kathleen again by Hannah Lynn (Can you tell I'm rather fond of Hannah's designs!) A bit tricker to colour so if you find your promarker nibs a bit fat for some of the more wispy bits I switch to a sakura pen for that.

A couple by the designer Molly Harrison, this first one The Gift is proving quite popular as I've seen her a few times round blogger and again if you're looking for quick and easy simply stamp, colour your hair and skin tones and I just added cool aqua promarkers around the edges and used the blender pen to smudge them out then I've used a glue pen and glamour dust aka ultra fine crystal glitter for sparkle on the wings.

This is another by Molly Harrison called Hiding. She's also quite easy if you left the background plain as she looks good in any colours. For the background here I used promarkers and the blender pen to tone out from light blues to black then smeared stickles over it for the stars.

Ths one is another by Kraftin' Kimmie called Cordelia. Again she's coloured with promarkers and sakura stardust pens and for the tail I coloured it in completely with a glue pen then added blue ultra fine glitter. She also comes with the fish stamp too!

One of my favourites now by Hannah Lynn called The Butterfly Keeper. I broke away from my usual blues and dark tones as the pink and orange paper was calling me! I do love how she turned out, she's a very pretty girl and a dream to colour!

And last but not least this is the gorgeous Adrianna coloured with promarkers and sakura stardust pens. There is a tutorial HERE in the shop on how I did the background and tail.

I love this close up showing all the sparkle! The earrings are made wth tiny 4mm daisy spacer beads and a sticky pearl.

I hope I've given you some inspiration and ideas on various ways to use these fabulous stamps! If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Wintergreen Wishes Again

Morning Peeps,

Yayyyyyy, it's Friday and I have finally got to ink up this beautiful Hannal Lynn stamp, "Wintergreen Wishes", available HERE from Crafts and Me.  These stamps are really beautiful, trust me. Isn't she a beauty?

I have coloured her with my favourite copic markers and have applied puff paint to the snow on the background trees, and heated with my heat gun to make it puff up and make it look like realistic snow.  I have added loads of start dust stickles to her hat and she sparkles beautifully. I have also added a sakura clear gel pen to her fins to give them a gentle sparkly finish.

There's still time to enter the Crafts and Me Challenge,  something for a teenager, so hop on over and join us!
