#22 Dans Mon Sac

.....dans mon sac patch, j'ai tous ce qu'il me faut pour faire la frivolité. C'est petit et facile à prendre avec moi dès que je sors. Il y avait pas mal de rendez-vous chez l'orthodontiste c'est dernieres semaines, mais j'ai pu travailler sans problème !!

#22 In My Bag

".....in my patchwork bag, I have everything I need to do Lace Tatting. It's small and easy to take with me when I am going out and about. The boys have had a few appointments at the orthodontist in the last few weeks, but I have been able to carry on working !!

#9 Le Quotidien

Dans mon quotidien, il y a forcément un peu de créativité.

Le scrap, la carterie, le patch, la dentelle, du home déco...

Il faut que mains soient ocupées.

#9 Daily Life

In my daily life, there has to be a little creativity.

Patchwork

So after lots of sewing, my patchwork is ready to start quilting.

I can't believe how big this project is compared to the first one I completed.

It has only taken me a month to do all this, but now I'm wondering how long the quilting will take AND

now that the weather seems to be improving - how warm will it be with this on my knees !!

Ainsi, après beaucoup de couture, patchwork mon est prêt à commencer quilting.

Je ne peux pas croire à quel point ce projet est grande par rapport à la première que j'ai terminé.

Ca m'a seulement pris un mois pour faire tout cela, 

mais maintenant je me demande combien de temps la quilting prendra 

 ET
maintenant que le temps semble s'améliorer - il va faire vraiment chaud avec cela sur mes genoux !!

 

This is the back, which is mostly black, but I thought it gives Graham two choices.

 C'est le dos, ce qui est principalement noir, mais j'ai pensé qu'il donne Graham deux choix.

Patchwork

I've been quiet the last couple of days as I have been sewing like a mad woman.

I just wanted to get my twenty squares finished and now I am joining them up together with the navy mottled squares to make to the quilt.

I am almost finished sewing all of this now and I am stalking the postman waiting for the other fabrics I have ordered to be delivered and I can carry on.

 J'ai été silencieuse depuis quelques jours car j'ai cousu comme une folle.

Je voulais finir mes vingt carrés et maintenant je les rejoins en place avec les carrés bleu marine marbrées de faire la couette.

J'ai presque terminé la couture tout cela maintenant et je suis en train de suivre le facteur pour les autres tissus que j'ai commandés d'être livrés et je peux continuer.

Next Patchwork Quilt

It's official, I am addicted to patchwork. 

My first quilt is only just finished but I am already starting on the next one.

I got these fabrics from Liberty's in London and I am using them to make a quilt for Graham.

I have promised Neil that we will look at more fabric soon, so he can choose something he likes for his bed.

I need 20 of these squares for the quilt. So far I have assembled 5, but everything is already cut out and marked. Just need to get sewing !!

C'est officiel, je suis accro de patchwork.
Ma première quilt est tout juste terminé, mais j'ai déjà commencé le prochain.

J'ai pris ces tissus de Liberty à Londres et je les utilise pour faire un quilt pour Graham.
J'ai promis à Neil que nous allons regarder des tissu bientôt, alors il peut choisir quelque chose qu'il aime pour son lit.

Patchwork

I can't believe I'm finally writing this post.....

I have finished my first quilt !!!!

After starting my first block in September, 

I sewed the last stitch on the border last night.

It may not be the best stitched or quilted but it is all my work and 

 I have the sore fingers to prove it.

And the front is 100% Stampin' Up!

 Je ne peux pas croire que j'écris enfin ce post .....
j'ai fini mon premier quilt !!!

Après avoir commencé mon premier bloc en Septembre,

  j'ai cousu le dernier point sur la bordure hier soir.
Ce n'est peut-être pas le meilleur cousu ou matelassé, mais c'est tout mon travail et

 j'ai les doigts douloureux pour le prouver.

Et le devant est 100% Stampin 'Up!

 My patchwork teacher picked the material for the back, and I think that it works so well with my Stampin' Up! fabric. I would like to say thank you to Béatrice for all her help and guidance.

Mon professeur de patchwork a choisi le matériau pour le dos, et je pense que cela se marietrès bien avec mon tissu Stampin' Up! Je tiens à dire merci à Béatrice pour toute son aide et ses conseils.

Now to start my second one !!

 Maintenant de commencer ma deuxième !!

Patchwork #7, #8 & #9

I have finally finished all the squares I need to make my quilt,

and I have started to sew them together. 

Unlike the bags that I have shared with you recently, these squares and the quilt are all done by hand.

The needles we use are tiny and if I didn't have glasses for reading, then I don't think I could even thread the eye.

I'm looking forward to starting the quilting phase of the quilt and although it will be a long job, I can't wait to see the finished item.

I will show you it again when it's all done - so don't wait with baited breath - I may be some time !!

 J'ai enfin terminé toutes les carrés dont j'ai besoin pour faire mon édredon,
et j'ai commencé à les coudre ensemble.

Contrairement aux sacs que j'ai partagées avec vous récemment, ces carrés et la couette sont tous fait à la main.

Les aiguilles que nous utilisons sont minuscules et si je n'avais pas de lunettes pour lire, alors je ne pense pas que je pourrais même enfiler l'œil.

Je suis impatiente de commencer la phase de matelassage de l'édredon et bien que ce sera un travail de longue haleine, je ne peux pas attendre de voir le produit fini.

Je vais vous montrer à nouveau lorsque tout cela se fait - il ne faut pas attendre avec impatience - J'ai peut-être un certain temps !!

Patchwork #6 And Benefits of Being a Demo

So I still have 3 squares to finish before I can start making a quilt from them. 

I still can't believe how long it has taken me to work out just how fab these Stampin' Up! fabrics are.

The box below is stuffed full of new products from the upcoming Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-a-Bration sets. 

This is really one of the fun parts of being a demo, getting your hands on lovely new things and having the time to make cards and projects in time to tempt you.

The first thing I took of of this box, was one of the new fabric packs, which I took along to patchwork yesterday afternoon and made the cutest little bag ever !!!

It's for a training day next week, so I can't show you it until afterwards...sorry :-(

Donc, il me reste 3 carrés pour finir avant que je puisse commencer à faire un quilt.
Je n'arrive toujours pas à croire combien de temps il m'a fallu pour decouvrir jusqu'à quel point ces tissus Stampin 'Up! sont merveilleux.

Patchwork #5

One thing I did do during the holidays was to advance a bit in my patchwork squares.

Here is the 5th one, and I have to say, my favourite so far.

I was really unsure of the shape as I started but by the time I sewed on the last triangle, it was all good.

Today, I have my patchwork class and we are making a special project. So this morning I will be stalking my Mr Brown, in the hope that he brings me the lovely new material packs from the upcoming Spring/Summer catalogue in time !!

And just to let you know, that I have a great time at lace making yesterday and I can't wait to start my first project next time.

Une chose que j'ai fait pendant les vacances était de faire avancer un peu dans mes carrés de patchwork.

Voici le 5ème, et je dois dire qui est de loin mon préféré.
J'étais vraiment pas sûre de la forme quand j'ai commencé mais au moment où j'ai cousu le dernier triangle, tout était bon.

Aujourd'hui, j'ai mon cours de patchwork et nous réalisons un projet spécial. Donc, ce matin, je vais traquer mon M. Brown, dans l'espoir qu'il m'apporte les nouveaux lots de tissus du prochain catalogue Printemps/Été à temps !!

 Et juste pour vous informer, j'ai un très bon moment à la dentelle hier et j'ai hâte de commencer mon premier projet la prochaine fois.

Patchwork #4

I have been so busy lately that it was great going to my patchwork class yesterday afternoon and getting 3 hours of uninterrupted sewing time !!

I manged to finish patch number 4 and start on my templates for number 5.

All the time having lovely conversation with the others ladies and admiring their work.

J'ai été tellement occupé ces derniers temps que c'était super d'y aller à mon de classe de patchwork hier après-midi et d'avoir 3 heures de couture ininterrompue!

J'ai réussi à finir le carré numéro 4 et de commencer sur mes gabarits pour le numéro 5.

Pendant que j'avais des conversation agréable avec les dames et admirer leur travail.

Here I am back already with another square.

I am enjoying this new hobby and the Stampin' Up! fabrics are so easy to work with.

I think that this quilt will look quite amazing in these colours whem I finish it.

Although I really don't know how long that will be !!

Me voilà déjà de retour avec un autre carré.

J'apprécie ce nouveau passe-temps et les tissus de  Stampin 'Up! sont tellement faciles à travailler.

Je pense que ce quilt seront très extraordinaire dans ces couleurs quand je la finis.

Bien que je ne sais vraiment pas combien de temps cela va être!

Patchwork #2

I haven't been advancing very quickly with my patchwork.

This is the second square I have finished off and I am well on my way for the third, hopefully you won't have to wait so long to see that !! Fingers crossed ;-)

I am lovely how dramatic these Timeless Portrait fabrics are.

Je n'ai pas progressé très rapidement avec mon patchwork.

C'est le deuxième carré, j'ai achevé et je suis bien partie pour le troisième, j'espère que vous n'aurez pas à attendre si longtemps pour voir ça! Croisons les doigts ;-)

J'aime ces tissus dramatique 'A Travers Les Ages'.

Patchwork

Since Stampin' Up! introduced fabric to it range of products last year I haven't really done anything with it. I've make some brooches, a bingo bag and that's about all.

I felt it was such a shame not to knowing how to use it more, so I decided to change all that and

on Tuesday afternoon I joined a Patchwork class at a local centre.

And this is what I have made so far.

Beatrice, the teacher, has shown me what it will turn into by June next year and I'm really excited to get stitching, and I think that these colours will be quite dramatic.

I will show you photos as I progress but I can't promise that it will be quick !!

Depuis que Stampin 'Up! l'introduit pour la gamme des tissues dnas ses produits l'année dernière, je n'ai pas vraiment fait grande chose. J'ai fait des broches, un sac de bingo et c'est à peu près tout.

J'ai senti que c'était vraiment dommage de ne pas savoir comment l'utiliser plus, alors j'ai décidé de changer tout cela et mardi après-midi, j'ai rejoint une classe Patchwork dans un centre sociale.

Et c'est ce que j'ai fait jusqu'à présent.

Béatrice, l'enseignante, m'a montré ce qu'il va devenir par Juin de l'année prochaine et je suis vraiment excitée d'apprendre la couture, et je pense que ces couleurs seront tout à fait spectaculaire.

Je vous montrerai des photos de maje progression mais je ne peux pas vous promettre que ce sera rapide !!!
