Tour of Utah

The Tour of Utah went from August 17-22. There were five stages and it is said to be America's toughest stage race. This is stage two of five and it starts at Thanksgiving Point and finishes up climbing the backside of Mt. Nebo. Jeff got up early and headed up to Thanksgiving Point to see if he could meet some of the guys and have them sign his jersey. It paid off! He got pictures, signatures and got up close with some of his biking heros! So happy for him (and a little bummed that I had to work!)

This is a really steep climb to the top and the guys were still traveling about 15mph! They are amazing athletes.
Levi Leipheimer's podium picture
The blue jersey is the best youngest rider (Boswell), yellow jersey is the leader (Leipheimer), red and black is the best Utah rider (Lill), orange is the best sprinter (Tanner), and the white with red dots (toyota signs) is the king of the mountain - the best hill climber (Mancebo)!

One Crazy Ride

My dad got a new toy the other day! We headed up Payson Canyon for a BBQ and we got to go out on the new ride. When it was time to head home, Ashley got the "privilege" of riding down the canyon with Grandpa! On his way out of the camp ground, he was spinning donuts with her and she was just a screaming! Do you love the goggles?!

In the middle of one of the donuts, Ashley is threatening that he better stop or she is going to jump out!

Temple Anniversary

Happy 10th (Temple) Anniversary! Jeff and I were sealed in the Manti Temple on August 15, 2010. We also had Alexis and Brayden sealed to us at that time. Ashley has been waiting to be sealed to us for many years and we are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Jeff and I went up to Salt Lake for the night and went to the Salt Lake Temple and then bummed around. We had a lot of fun together as we always do!

Jeff and I after we got out of the Temple.

We ate here.........
We drove up to the This Is The Place Monument.
Jeff worked on this piece which represents the Mormon Battalion. They are enormous!
Here is the foundry that Jeff works at (Baer Bronze)!

5k Run

Utah County put on a 5k. It was on August 14. I signed our whole family up to participate and you can see who made it! Three out of our six members! Ashley, Lexi and Tanner ran it and we are not sure how long it took them because they forgot to get their times and didn't really time themselves! At least they got out and had a great time together. After the race, they did a raffle and Tanner won some horse shoes and Ashley won a T-shirt! Way to go Ashley, Lexi and Tanner!!

Waiting for the race to start!
They got their faces painted!
Way to go on the 5k!!!
