Digi Haven - At the Beach

My card is actually really simple, I used a piece of patterned paper from my Echo Park Paradise Beach paper pad, and that is it!

The image I used is called Crab Suntan, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following.

Crab: R24, R27, R29

Towel: BG05, BG07, Y35, Y38

Sand: E31, E33, E35, E37

The sentiment is handwritten with a black Archival pen, and I thought it was rather fitting with this image.

Digi Haven - Let's go on a picnic!

Time is flying by so fast, I barely have time to think about what day it is! But my calender says it is Friday, which means a new challenge at Digi Haven! Our theme for this week is Picnic, and our fabulous sponsor is MyGrafico! They are offering a full set of images of the winner's choice! Just click on  the banner below to visit the shop.

 I made a 4 inch square card, using some Authentique paper I found in my stash. It immediately reminded me of a picnic blanket. I decided to add some lace it to make it look realistic

 The image I used is part of the Picnic Bear set. You can find the set here. I used my Copic Markers to color the image and I used the following.

Ears and paws: E93, E95

Digi Haven - Spring has Sprung (with ribbon or fibers)

Beccy also generously provided some images to the DT, and this is what I created.

 The papers I used for my card are the Bo Bunny Primrose collection. I alsolutely love the colors of these papers! For my layout I used a sketch from Tiets' Club. All edges are inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

 The image I used is by Beccys Place and is called Old Pump. I used my Copic Markers to color the image and I used the following colors.
Pump: W1, W3, W5
Bucket: E71, E74, E77, E79
Bushes: G40, G43, G46
Flowers and bird: RV13, RV14
Stones: C0, C1
Ground: E33, E35, E37
Background: BG0000, BG000, BG10, BG11

 For the sentiment I used the Noor!Design scrabble stamps, using Versamark Onyx Black ink.

The ribbon is a gift from a friend, and I absolutely love how the color matches the papers I used. All flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts.

Digi Haven - Bear image

Hi all!

Welcome to a brand new challenge at Digi Haven! This week we want to see your projects with bear images! Our sponsor for this challenge is StampArt Design by Kathryne, just click on the banner below to go to her shop.


She also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

As soon as I saw this image I knew I had to use it, I really love these bears! And hey, best to make a Christmas card in advance right?

The image I used is called Christmas Smoochie Bears, and can be found here. I used my Copics again to color the image, and i used the following
Left bear: E13, E15, E18
Right bear: E3, E25, E27
Clothes: R24, R27, R29
Belt: C5, C7
I also added some Stardust Stickles to the white parts.

The papers I used are random scraps from my stash, and so are the ribbon, twine and the charm. The sentiment I used is by Noor!Design, and is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink.

Digi Haven - Black, White and 1 Color

Hi all!

Time has flown by the last weeks, and it is again time for a new challenge at Digi Haven! This week we have a great theme, use Black, White, and only 1 color! This challenge we are sponsored by Kenny K, how lovely is that! They are offering 3 images of the winners choice! Just click on the banner below to take a look at their shop!

Kenny K also generously provided images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created. I decided to use blue as my other color.

I created a giftcard envelope, with a template from Dutch Doobadoo. The gift envelope itself is made from black card stock.

The image I used is called Let's Party, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following markers.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E13 and R20 for blush.
Hair: C5, C7
Shirt: B95, B97, B99
Pants: C5, C7, 100
I used my Nestabilities Label Four die to cut out the image.

The sentiment is created with Noor!Design Scrabble stamps. I stamped them with white pigment ink and heat embossed them with detail white embossing powder.

The papers I used are by Authentique. Both the ribbon and the buttons are from my stash.

Now on to my card!

The papers I used are by My Minds Eye. The piece where the sentiment is stamped onto, is actually green, but it really looks yellow in the picture. Well, no problem as it looks like it's the same color as the little chicken itself.

The image I used is called Chickie, by Robyn's Fetish, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following markers.

Shirt: RV10, RV13, RV14
Dungarees: BG01, BG05, BG07

The sentiment I used is from a set from Verve stamps, and is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The pink ribbon is from my stash, and so are the blue pearls.

Digi Haven Challenge - Things with wings.

Time for a new challenge at Digi Haven! This fortnight we want to see things with wings!

Whoopsi Daisy also generously offered some images to the DT to use, and this is what I created.

The shape of the card is created with a Dutch Doobadoo template. I love the one I already have and I can't wait to buy some new ones to play with! The papers I used are by My Minds Eye. Between the cardbase and the first layer I added some pink polka dotted tulle from my stash.

The image I used is from sheet 199, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers to color her, and I used the following markers:
Skin: E50, E51, E53 and R20 for blush
Hair: E23, E25, E27, E29
Clothes: RV21, RV23, RV29, YG00, YG03, YG06
Wings: BG0000, BG000, BG10
I used an oval die to cut out the image and I matted it with a scalloped oval. I also added little pearls I made with a pearlmaker pen.

The die-cut I used is by Memorybox. The rose lace is from my stash.

To finish my card I punched some butterflies and added some green pearls in the centres.

Digi Haven Challenge - 3 different shades of green

Welcome to a new challenge at Digi Haven! This week we want to see at least 3 different shades of green on your project. At first I thought that would be really hard, but I actually ended up with 6(!) different shades of green on my card, so it's easier than you think!

What is a better idea to use green on your card than creating a christmas card! Actually I am really doing good with my Christmas cards, I already finished 12 cards!
Anyway, let me show you a close-up of the colored image.

Like I said, the image I used is by Beccy's Place. I decided to use one of her many freebies. This one is called Christmas Lantern, and can be found here.
I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Holly leaves: G40, G43, G46
Leaves: YG63, YG67
Flowers: R22, R24
Berries: R29
Lantern: C5, C7, BG000, BG0000
Bow: G82, G85
Shading around the image: W00, W1, W3
I used one of the largest oval dies to cut out the image, and I matted it with a scalloped oval.
The sentiment I used is by Noor!Design and says Christmas Greetings.

The papers I used are from €1 shop. The white ribbon was from my stash, and I wrapped some green twine around it. I also added a charm from my stash.

Digi Haven Challenge - Bookmarks!

The image is colored with my Copic Markers and I used the following:
Skin: E00, E02 and R20 for blush
Coat and umbrella: C00, C2, R24, R27
Hair and shoes: E15, E18
Water: BG0000
I created a little bookmark by making a tag from red cardstock. I used my Big Bite to punch a hole on top and added some lace and ribbon. I also added a big red button with some twine.

Digi Haven - Love/Valentine/Cherish/Adore

The image I used is called My Wedding Dress and can be purchased here. I used my Copic Markers to color the dress, and I used the following markers

To finish my card I used a heart shaped paper doily and I stamped some Noor!Design bingo cards on the solid red designer paper. I also wrapped some white thread around my card, and added a charm to it.

Digi Haven - Snow Buddies

Hi all!

Welcome to a new Digi Haven challenge! This fortnight we want to see SNOW BUDDIES!

Dilly Beans also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created with it.

 I created my own snowglobe! I used a template by Sandra´s Scrapshop, and you can find the template here. I didn´t follow her instructions exactly, but I like the result.

 The bottom of the snowglobe is decorated with a Noor!Design bingo/card and some Prima Flowers. The rhinestones are from my stash. The pattern paper is a scrap which is in my stash since forever, so I don´t know the brand of it.

 The images is called Three Penguins, and can be found here. I colored them with my Copic Markers, and I used the following.
Penguin: C00, C0, C5, C7
Hats: R24, R27, and some Diamond Stickles
Scarfs: BG13, BG15

 The snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and decorated with a rhinestone in the centre. I also added some rhinestones inside the globe, and around the globe.

This is a side view of the snowglobe. In the bottom box you can put a little gift or a card or so.

Digi Haven DT - Baby, it's cold outside!

Welcome to the first Digi Haven Challenge of 2014! Where I live, the weather is really soft, almost like spring, but I understand the US is freezing! That is why this fortnight's theme is perfect!
Our theme is BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!

Bugaboo also generously provided some images to the DT to wirk with, and this is what I created.

I made a big rectangle card, measuring 4.5 x 6 inches. The papers I used are by PaperMania, and were in my stash for ages. They are 12x12 and I rarely use those. I really like them, so I have to use them more often! Let me show you a close-up of the colored image.

Like I said, the image is by Bugaboo and is called Marshamellow Snowmen. You can buy the image here.
The image is colored with my Copic Markers and I used the following markers.
E33, E35, E37, B000, B01, RV21, RV23 and BG0000
I added some Frosty Lace Stickles to the snow and I added some Glossy Accents on the highlite of the snowglobe.

The sentiment I used is by AmyR, and I think it fits our theme perfectly! I used Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp it. The edges of the papers I used are inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

I used some pink ribbon from my stash and tied it in a bow. I added a snowflake charm to finish it, and I also used some selfadhesive pearls from my stash.
