Happy Birthday Derick!

Every year I think I stretch out Derick's birthday celebration a little longer and longer. I think I do this so that he will do it for me on my birthday! We started out by heading up to Park City with the kids and his parents and brother to stay the night on Friday. We made fajitas (one of his favorites), swam, wore fancy bathrobes back from the pool (I need to get those pics from his parents, they are pretty funny), had brownie sundaes, played Phase 10, stayed up late, woke up early, shopped, rode the Alpine Slide, had snow cones and ate candy. How is that for a fun-filled 24 hours!

Someone was anxious to swim AND thought it was his birthday. That is why there are only 4 candles. It was easier than trying to convince him dad wasn't turning 4...

Loading up and heading up the mountain! ("Please Andrew don't lean too far forward, please Andrew just sit still..."-this is what I was saying in my head the whole time they were riding the chairlift)

Here comes Grandma! It was her first time! Andrew rode with Grandpa.

Ashley was pretty bored and HOT waiting for them to come down. She wasn't quite old enough to ride it.

Later Saturday night we went on a date to Tucano's to use Derick's free dinner. We stuffed ourselves full of those little cheese roll things and lots and lots of meat! It was so yummy, every single bite!

On Sunday evening we had some family and some neighbors come to the park to eat cake and ice cream with us! Derick loves chocolate, so we had to get the chocolate cake from Costco. That thing is so good. Then I made white cupcakes for those that don't like chocolate! It was good fun, good company and a great weekend!

The kids enjoying some cupcakes. Looks like Ashley is pretty into Hayden!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

The next night we had leftover cake after dinner. I thought these were pretty cute of Ashley enjoying her cake!

4 things you had to say!:

BECKY! I am so MAD and jealous that I missed all of his birthday festivities! And don't give me the "well just move back to Utah" speech...maybe I will...maybe I won't. I just know I miss your family!

We wanted to ride the Alpine Slide while in Park City last month but had to come home because of a family melt down- sigh.

Fun way to spend a birthday!

Well Emily, the only way I won't beg you to move back to Utah is if you just send me some yummy Hawaii chocolates and treats!
