{ February 2016 Gale Song kit from Scraptastic Club–take 3 }

Hi and happy Leap day! Dont’ you just love having extra days. I do. It’s Monday, last day of February, and I have two more layouts to share that I created with February 2016 Gale Song Kit, February 2016 Gale Song Add-On from Scraptastic Club.

There are lots of little bits and pieces to work with in these kits. The only thing I added from my stash is color shine and some washi tape to add a little bit more color to some areas that needed it. I still have a ton of stuff left over, paper and embellishments.

For this layout I added strips of patterned paper behind the photo and I cut one of the glitter frames and tucked it behind the top layer. I added washi, color shine and buttons from my stash.

{ Hello–color challenge }

Hi, here I am again. I saw this color challenge from Just Us Girls blog and I had to play. I received a few Color Burst colors and I had to give them a try. The one used here is called Ultramarine Blue. I watched some videos on YouTube to figure out how to use it. I used watercolor paper that was painted with white gesso, left over from another project, just to try it out. I spritz water over the paper and then squeezed the bottle gently over the top. I should have taken a photo before I layered all the other elements over the top.

I love to mix and match things, especially my stamps. I picked several from my mixed media/journal box and went to work using only colors from the challenge: Teal, Aqua, Navy. The stamps I used (in order that I stamped them): Love Score, Really Useful Stamps – Circles, Flourish 1, Silhouette 15 (butterflies), Everyday Words (hello). Not too bad, right. The first two were stamped with Navy ink and the rest with Aqua. I distressed the edges and the navy mat under the watercolor paper. The flower with the center are teal. I added a few sequins to match.

{ February 2016 Gale Song kit from Scraptastic Club }

I am sharing my second layout using February 2016 Gale Song Kit, February 2016 Gale Song Add-On, and February 2016 Gale Song Stamp Set. I just love these colors.

I started by adding white gesso to the background and spraying some yellow color shine. I let it drop towards the bottom. I added some stamped hearts from February This Life Noted stamp set. The little plus signs are from an exclusive mask that comes in the kit.

I sprinkles some green color shine from my stash. The gold rimmed butterflies are perfect with the glitter frame and “XO” letters and the glitter die cut words.  The photo is from our trip to Grand Canyon last summer.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Happy Birthday to You }

I started this card by stamping the  Vintage Briar Rose Background on the bottom of the card and added a strip of washi to the seam. I stamped the Lg. Solid Dot Tag and then the banners just took over. I die cut Hollyhocks from watercolor paper and painted them with watercolor.

{ February 2016 Memory Keepers Studio by Technique Tuesday }

Our February release of Memory Keepers Studio – Today Tabs and Fresh Cut Studio –Accent Tabs ships on 2/15. Here is what I created with the set.

I created a background with a mask and inks that I got recently from Emma’s Paperie. On top of that I painted with a Ranger dauber paint and sprinkled some color shine. I stamped the sentiment from Today Tabs at the bottom of the card with black ink and stamped and cut the tabs with numbers by the butterfly. The butterfly die is from Happy Butterfly June Fresh Cut Studio.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Friends Forever }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Friends Forever.

I loved those little Spiral Roses from my last card that I had to make some more for this one. I love how white felt looks so soft.

I started by stamping the Music Flag Banner at a slight angle at the top of the card. I added tag layers, washi and a cute arrow. I stamped the Pinwheel on white cardstock and colored with watercolor crayons. I added 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web to add dimension.

I added sequins and Stickles at the end. The sentiment is from Love Lines stamp set.
