Christmas Card ~ Believe

When I saw these sweet little snowpeeps at the latest
My Creative Time release I just knew I had to have them.
To add a little character I gave them Peachy Keen faces.
I added the snowflake die cuts at the top of my card to
represent the circles in the MCT inspiration sketch.
To finish up my card I added the believe in the magic sentiment.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Sentiment from the Boughs of Holly stamp and die set from My Creative Time.
*Snowpeeps cut using the Winter Snowmen Dies set from My Creative Time.
*Snowflakes cut using the Winter Flake Dies set from My Creative Time.
*Snowpeep faces from the Winter Faces Assortment stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.

Halloween Card ~ Pumpkin Patch

Halloween is fast approaching.
I created a little Halloween scene to share.
I used a mix of cute My Creative Time goodies then
gave my pumpkins some Peachy Keen character.

Eek! The design paper is really a combo of dark and light orange
but I just couldn't get the true colors to photograph.
The darker orange in the design paper is really just a
tiny bit paler than the orange I used for the pumpkins.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Clouds cut using the Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies from My Creative Time.
*Happy cut using the Boughs of Holly set from My Creative Time.
*Halloween from the Happy Thoughts set from My Creative Time.
*Fence cut using the Loyal Friends set from My Creative Time.
*Pumpkins and moon cut using the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies from My Creative Time.
*Faces from the Happy Lashes Face Assortment set from Peachy Keen Stamps.
*Design paper from the 6x6 Eek-a-BOO Stack from DCWV.

Birthday Card ~ Days of Summer {2nd Post}

Hello my sweet blog visitors.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I wanted to play with one of my new
My Creative Time stamp and die sets today.
I used the colors from Miss Emma's current challenge.

I wanted to make it a birthday card with a summery feel to
play along with a few of my other challenge friends.

The dog house is a shaker element.
See inside it has a few of the little bone die cuts.
I used the dog ear dies to make collars for the little pups.
I added a couple of brads to the fence.
The dogs, dog house, bones, fence and clouds all come from my new set.
I made the sun using the starburst die, a circle die and a Peachy Keen face.
I layered up a lot of the grass die cuts and
trimmed a few to put in front of the dog house.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Dog, dog house, clouds, fence and bones cut using the Loyal Friends stamp and die set from My Creative Time.
*Sentiment from the Birthday Buddies stamp set from My Creative Time.
*Sun center cut using the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies set from My Creative Time.
*Sun rays cut using the Nesting Sunburst die set from We R Memory Keepers.
*Sun face from the Simple Simon Face Assortment stamp set from Peachy Keen.
*Grass cut using die #DIE096-D from Impression Obsession.
*Brads from Colorbok.

May your day always be filled with love.

Guest Designer ~ Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Good morning!
Today is the day I get to share my
Thanks for the wonderful Guest Designer honor.

Fantabulous Cricut

The challenge theme is one I'm sure all of you will enjoy.
It's Spring Cleaning: Use a cut or cartridge you haven't used before.

Now I must confess I am a Cricut cartridge collector.
I have 200+ and as you can tell by this picture I have
a few that I have yet to use so this challenge is perfect for me.

Okay I confess they aren't even open yet. {Shh! Don't tell my husband. lol}

I used one of those lonely little cartridges for today's card.
When the Create a Friend cartridge first came out I grabbed it up.
I'm a teacher and use my Cricut to create decorations for my classroom
and knew this one would come in handy for that as well as card making.

I started thumbing through the handbook {I LOVE the new ones}
and found the perfect cut to play with.
Some of you may still be dealing with the cold snow,
while others are enjoying the warm sunshine
we are being blessed with rain, rain and more rain.
Rain is pretty typical in our area.
It is not unusual for us to enjoy a wet and soggy 4th of July.
I thought this card might brighten someone's day
while we wait for Mr. sun to come and play.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Girl, umbrella and clouds cut at 3.25 in. from the Cricut Create a Friend cartridge.
*Sentiment, puddle and raindrops from the I'm Here For You Rain or Shine Stamp Set from My Creative Time.
*Face from the Happy Lashes Face Assortment stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.
*Heavenly Blue stamp pad from CTMH.

May your day always be filled with love.
Crafty hugs,
D~

Halloween Card ~ Hangin' In the Patch (post #1)

This sweet little Jaded Blossom friend is hanging out at the pumpkin patch today.
Look at all those little cuties she has to choose from.
First I stamped then colored her up using a few of my Copics.
Next I stamped up a bunch of pumpkins and added a little Peachy Keen face before coloring them up.
I broke out the slider tag die I had yet to use {I've had it for years} and punched it out.
Then I stamped a Cardz TV sentiment and used a circle punch to add it to the center of the tag.
I added a little ribbon through the slider, sponged up the edges here and there and put it all together with foam tape to give it a little dimension.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Girl from the Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set from Jaded Blossom Stamps
*Sentiment slider tag die cut from a Cuttlebug die set.
*Sentiment from the "Happy Days" stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.
*Pumpkin stamp from Denami Design.
*Faces from the Peachy Keen Just Baby Faces Assortment Package.
*Copic pens E00, E13, YR04 & YG67.
*Ribbon from Joanns Celebrate It 360.
*Memento tuxedo Black stamps pad.

Altered Die Cut Cards (post #2)

I have been working on a few extra projects to share with you. Some of the blogs I follow are having challenges for NSD so this week I will probably have at least 2 posts a day. We'll see how the week goes. lol. Of course I will continue to make my projects fit the challenges I follow regularly. You know who you are.

One of the blogs I follow is Nadia's at With Glittering Eyes  If you haven't checked her blog out I highly recommend you do. The girl does magic with paper cuts.

I made two cards today one has many of the cuts the way they are when you cut them the other has cuts that have had a little something done to add dimension. If you follow me you know I LOVE my embossing folders and adding color to my Peachy Keen face stamps. Check out how I used these to enhance some of the cuts.

*Window shape card cut at 6 in. from the Cricut Creative Cards cartridge after welding two windows together and hiding the window panes using CCR.
*All other window cuts cut at 6 in.
*Girl cut at 4 in. from the Cricut Paper Doll Teen Scene cartridge.
*Birdcage cut at 2.5 in. from the Cricut Straight From the Nest cartridge.
*Birds cut at 3 in. from the Cricut Straight From the Nest cartridge.
*Window embossed with the Sizzix Woodgrain folder.
*Leaves and blonde girl's hair embossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls folder.
*Peachy Keen face stamps
*Flower centers are rhinestones or glitter glue.

To Google or Not to Google..

Before I get started with my card post I have a thank you to share.
One of my cards was chosen by the random draw for the Red Carpet Studios Easter challenge.
I was awarded a $30 gift certificate from Verve Stamps. I used it to get lots of goodies incuding the scroll die and sentiment stamps used on these cards. : )

I made two versions of the same card today and here is the story...

I wanted to use googly eyes on a card but wanted to try something a little different and outside the box so to say. I wanted to see how it would look to use the googly eyes for flower centers.
When I showed the card to my husband he said the card looked creepy with all those eyes looking at him. lol.
When I was adding the googly eye centers a second card idea came to me and that is how card #2 came about.

*Card #1 and card #2
*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Card front 5.25 x 4 in. embossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl folder
*Flowers cut at 10 in. from the Cricut 50 States cartridge.

Hapbeeeee Birthday to You!

Today is one of my brother's birthday. (I have 4) (And 3 sisters)

When I was making him a card I got a little carried away making cards.
Love when that happens.

This card isn't the one I ended up making for him but it is one of my favorites.

After I had the card all together I realized the pattern paper with the balloons on it had scattered confetti dots and the pattern paper with the candles did not. So of course I got out my Tulip Crystals Dimensional Fabric Paint and added dimensional dots to both sides.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Card front cut at 5.25 x 4 in. using 2 different pattern papers then cut diagonally.
*Bee cut at 2 in. from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.
*Bee face from the Peachy Keen Just Baby Faces Assortment stamps.
*Present cut at 2 in. from the Cricut Celebrations cartridge.
*Birthday wishes stamp and tag from the My Creative Time Tiny Tag Greetings set.
*Yellow frame cut at 3 x 2.5.
*Blue frame cut at 2.75 x 2.25and embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.
*Details added using Gelly Roll pens.
*Pattern papers from my stash.
*Holiday Inspiration ribbon.
*Buttons and twine bows from my stash.

Thanks for visiting me in bloggyland.

Happy Easter. Welcome Spring...

Happy Easter weekend everyone!!
I hope your days are filled with loved ones and laughter!

When I was making this card I searched my Peachy Keen stamps for just the right face and this one caught my eye. She looks so happy and ready to meet the world.

I am also going to make this one into baby cards.
With the bow in the hair it will be perfect for a baby girl card.
Add a cap on his head and it would make a great card for a boy.
Not sure if its a boy or girl? Put the egg shell on top and make it with neutral colors.
Twins anyone? The combos are endless.
Just change the sentiment. Wouldn't Welcome Little One go perfect?
Alright I am going to make some for this week sometime.
Check back to see what I come up with.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Card front 5.25 x 4 in. embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle folder.
*Egg and chick cut at 3 in. from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge.
*Chick face from the Peachy Keen Critter Faces Med set.
*Happy easter sentiment from Darce's.
*Ribbon and reinstones from Joanns.
*Twine from my local craft store.
*Faux stiching added with a black Sharpie pen.

Thanks for visiting!
Love to hear from you!
