More on that Hezbollah Billboard in Windsor

Remember the Hezbollah Billboard (leased to by CBS) that Debbie Schlussel pointed to on Sunday? Well there is more:

Earlier today, I told you that Hussein Dabaja--who dreamed up and helped pay for the Hezbollah billboard in Windsor, Canada--was involved in used car fraud in Ontario, Canada (it was Free Pioneer's scoop). His name kept bothering me because I know about a number of cases involving Dabajas in the Detroit area.

Well, I just realized what it was. Hussein Dabaja--and I believe it's the same one--is the subject of a case I told you about recently. The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission recently filed a case against Judge William Hultgren of Dearbornistan District Court, alleging that the Judge improperly tried to get a case involving Dabaja assigned to him and taken away from another judge.

CBS: Taking Money and Advertising for Hezbollah

This gives a whole new meaning to 'CBS Eye on America'

Debbie Schlussel has evidence that CBS is: 1) breaking Federal law, and; 2) materially supporting terrorist organizations. So where is the Justice Department? And just what will it take for enough to be enough for Alberto Gonzalez to grow a pair and go after a big fish who is openly flaunting its violation of Federal laws:

An unidentified party paid to post a pro-Hezbollah billboard, featuring photos of Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, as well as other Hezbollah officials. While that is disturbing, it really is not surprising if you've ever been to Windsor, especially lately. Hezbollah and HAMAS supporters who can't get in here, live freely over there. And others who can't get in here, regularly are smuggled through in car trunks from over there to here. And Hezbollah supporters here have training camps over there.

The billboard may be against the law in Canada, where free speech laws are less absolute, but it's definitely illegal under U.S. law for other reasons.

What's disturbing is that CBS owns the billboard and allowed it to be posted. This is a violation of federal law here in America. It makes no difference that the billboard is in Canada. Federal law prohibits providing material support, including communications (such as a billboard), to terrorist groups. Hezbollah is not only on the State Department Terrorist List, it is also a Specially Designated Global Terrorist Entity by the U.S. Department of Treasury.

Two HUGE Developments in the War

Top Hezbollah leader captured in Iraq This is an unmistakable smoking gun as to Iran's active military operations against US forces. And Daqduq has reportedly already been providing valuable tactical and strategic information. My question is: when will they let our troops fight back against Iran and Hezbollah?

Another big development (perhaps a point of critical mass) is this report that Gen. Musharraf has reportedly greenlighted active US and NATO operations against Al Qaeda inside Pakistan. If true, this tells you two things: 1) Musharraf is worried about being deposed by an Islamist revolutionary coup; and 2) there is nowhere for AQ to hide now. Also be sure and catch Allahpundit's coverage of this story over at Hot Air. (Honestly: if Hot Air is not already near the top of your news reader, why isn't it?)

These are both huge positive developments. Follow both links and read both the posts. And then urge your Congressman, Senators, and President to allow our brave men and women to take off the gloves and take the fight to the enemy. The sooner we can wage real war on our enemies, the sooner the war will be over. Just win, baby.

Islamists Bomb Spanish "Peacekeepers" in Lebanon

You will recall last summer that the introduction of UN Peacekeepers to the equation was supposed to be the "solution" to stopping the terrorism in Lebanon. Well, that "solution" has now become part of a more complex problem; now 5 UN soldiers--from Spain--have been killed by a roadside bomb detonated by remote control in southern Lebanon.

The recent increase in violence by Hezbollah and Al Qaeda in Lebanon--when coupled with Iranian-backed violence in Iraq and Gaza--demonstrates that Iran will go to any lengths to distract the world from taking action against its nuclear program. But only if America lets that happen...

Textbook case: The End Result of Defeatism and Appeasement

As the Olmert government in Israel edges ever closer to the precipice of total collapse, it is wise to look at the policies that made the collapse so likely. Fortunately we have Wretcherd, who has done a tremendous amount of this legwork for us:

The Winograd post-mortem as described by the Jerusalem Post of the Israel's poorly executed war against Hezbollah last summer indicts not only Olmert, but the policies leading up to the war. The most fundamental reason for the failure was that the IDF had been told to adopt a passive posture everywhere and to respond to each enemy provocation with retreat. And in the end, Israel's inaction bought her not safety but danger. Here are some of the criticisms as summarized by the David Horovitz:

In its sections on the six years preceding the conflict, the commission tracks a process in which the IDF concedes sovereignty at the Lebanon border to Hizbullah. Nothing less. ... The policies of containment and restraint followed by every government since 2000 "essentially enabled Hizbullah to strengthen militarily, without any significant disturbance by Israel."

Conceding "sovereignty at the Lebanon border to Hizbullah" was not hyperbole. The IDF actually retreated from the Israeli border to save themselves because they could not effectively fire back on Hezbollah for political reasons, and hence dug in further back.

Hizbullah amassed its arsenal of missiles and rockets. It deployed along the border. ... There is the detailing of border incidents in which the IDF was consequently refused permission to tackle overt terrorist threats, like the case in November 2005 "when the then-OC Northern Command approved the opening of fire to destroy a terror cell that had emplaced itself along the border." The chief of General Staff overruled him emphatically.

Since its soldiers weren't being allowed to fire back, and their deterrent capability was necessarily disappearing, the IDF protected them by pulling away physically from the commanding position it had been expected to maintain at the border after May 2000's unilateral withdrawal. It tried to protect its silenced soldiers, relocating their bases and lookout points to less exposed positions even as Hizbullah dug in at the fence. One of these abandoned lookout positions, the report documents, had overseen the very scene of the July 12 incursion and kidnapping that sparked the war.

Even Israeli intelligence warnings that the Hezbollah were preparing an incursion failed to awaken the leadership from its accustomed stupor. Having lapsed into a coma, nothing short of the electric shock of open and large scale attack would rouse it again.

There is much more--check it out. My emphasis on the last sentence is intended: it is a chilling reminder of how dangerous is our own complacency in our war against those who would kill us all. And those in our government who would make that complacency the official policy of the state. Is it 2008 yet?
