Indiana Sheriff Deputies Shot. One Officer and Suspect Killed

Deputy Carl Koontz, left, and Sergeant Jordan Buckley were shot while serving a warrant on Sunday. Koontz died. (ISP)

[From article]
An Indiana sheriff's deputy died Sunday afternoon of injuries he sustained during an early-morning shootout while he and another officer were serving a warrant related to drug paraphernalia, officials said.
Howard County Sheriff's Deputy Carl Koontz, 27, had been on the force for three years. He is survived by a wife and young child.
"[Koontz] was an outstanding officer, he had great promise with our agency, and he's going to be greatly missed," Sheriff Steven Rogers said.
The suspected shooter, who has not been identified, also died, following a standoff with a SWAT team. Authorities said they don't know whether he was killed in a shootout or from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
[. . .]
Investigators had learned a suspect wanted for possession of a syringe in neighboring Clinton County was hiding at the mobile home and obtained the warrants, Rogers said.
When officers knocked on the door of the home, they received no response and then entered the home, the sheriff said. That's when the gunfire erupted.
"We plan for it, but you're never fully prepared, of course, for that situation," he said.

Three Gentlemen Arrested For Murder of Pregnant Wife Of Indiana Pastor

Amanda Blackburn (right), pictured here with her husband Davey and son Weston, was killed after being shot during a burglary at her Indianapolis home. Three have been arrested in connection with the case.

[From article]
This is the teenager charged with the murder of an Indianapolis pastor's pregnant wife - but her widower has said he has chosen to forgive the alleged killer.
Larry Taylor, 18, Jalen Watson, 21, and Diano Gordon, 24, were arrested and taken into custody in connection with the homicide of Amanda Blackburn, 28.
At a press conference this afternoon, Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced that formal charges had been filed against the men.
Taylor is facing 13 charges, including murder, after the 'knowing and intentional killing' of Blackburn, Curry said.
Watson is charged with felony murder. Both he and Taylor face multiple burglary, robbery and theft charges. Gordon, who was in custody due to a parole violation, is also facing burglary charges.
Curry said that DNA testing was a big break in the investigation that resulted in murder, burglary and other charges being filed.
He said the testing points to one of the men charged as the person who was later recorded as using her stolen bank card.
However, Curry said there is not yet sufficient evidence to file sexual assault charges in the case.
He also said that a decision has not yet been made whether the death penalty will be sought against the two men facing murder charges.
[. . .]
Blackburn was 12 weeks pregnant when she was shot in the head as she tried to defend herself and her one-year-old son Weston when her house entered into on November 10. She died later in hospital.
[. . .]

Diano Gordon is facing burglary charges in connection to the case.

Jalen Watson, 21, is the second person facing murder charges in the killing of Amanda Blackburn.

Watson and Gordon are in custody on parole violations. Taylor, who was previously taken into custody and released, was re-arrested at a relative's home on a preliminary charge of murder, according to police.

Larry Taylor, 18, is charged with the murder of Amanda Blackburn - but her the widower has said he has chosen to forgive the alleged killer.

Sources say a fourth individual who was aware of the robberies, burglaries and murder, but did not participate, was questioned and released, WTTV reported, adding that detectives collected evidence linking the trio to a previous rape and robbery at the Westlake Apartments where the suspects were living until early November.
[. . .]
Davey Blackburn posted a statement on his church's website where he said: 'It's impossible to communicate all the emotions my heart has been forced to process. My wife was such a beautiful, gracious, loving woman of God.

'I have not only lost my ministry partner and support but also my very best friend. There is no way to prepare yourself for circumstances like these.
'My focus right now is to let The Lord minister to my heart as I continue to shepherd little Weston's. I'll be taking this time to focus on being a great follower of Jesus, dad, family member, and pastor to our growing church.

Prominent Indiana Doctor Convicted of Plotting To Murder Ex-Wife

Joannah secretly recorded a conversation with her boyfriend Dr. Gregory Konrath as he appeared to be explaining his plan to kill his ex-wife.

[From article]
Today, Konrath is behind bars serving a nearly 10-year sentence. But it’s not for attempted murder.
[. . .]
Dr. Gregory Konrath lived in Peru, Indiana, and earned as much as $1.7 million a year specializing in orthopedic trauma.
[. . .]
Joannah decided to secretly record the conversation for 23 minutes on her cell phone as Konrath appeared to explain a plan to sneak into his ex-wife’s house at night and shoot her while their children were asleep in their rooms.
“She has a million dollar life insurance policy. I’m the beneficiary,” Konrath is heard saying on the recording.
[. . .]
“All the evidence was there,” Rogers told “20/20.”
Inside the home’s garage, police found a gun and rubber gloves
[. . .]
But Embrey later dropped the charges, because the law in Indiana says the accused must make a substantial step towards committing a murder in order to be charged with attempted murder.
“You had to be in the vicinity with the means to commit the murder,” [Prosecutor Bruce] Embrey said. He explained even if a jury found Konrath guilty the judge would have to throw the case out. “We couldn’t get the case past the judge.”
[What does that say about the competence of the prosecutor?]
[. . .]
He added that he has learned one thing from this experience: "Be careful what you say in front of your girlfriend," he said.
[This indicates how arrogant some doctors can be. His regret is expressing himself to his girlfriend not the idea of killing his ex-wife. What a guy.]
"I think she truly was thinking I was serious and truly thought she was doing the right thing."
Ana Konrath declined to comment for this report. As for Joannah, she still fears for her life.

Indiana Surgeon Recorded Allegedly Plotting Ex-Wife's Murder Claims It Was Just 'Fantasy'

In an interview from jail, Dr. Gregory Konrath said his alleged plot to kill his ex-wife was a "fantasy."[From article]

Joannah, a nurse, mother and divorcee, said she was impressed with Konrath from the start.
“He was always a gentleman. He always came down to pick me up. Lots of times he brought flowers. He was a romantic, a gentleman, opened the door,” Joannah told “20/20.”
After four months of dating, the two moved in together. Joannah said he often spent a lot of money on her and bought her expensive things.
“I met his mom. I met his children. We went to his children’s games. We sat next to his ex-wife,” Joannah said. “[His ex-wife Ana] was nice. Greg and her got along fine. We did that regularly.”
Joannah had hoped she and Konrath would get married. She said they had looked at rings and she had purchased a wedding dress.

Updated: No Pizza At Same Sex Marriages; Over $800,000 Raised To Support Pizzeria

Posted April 1, 2015 6:31 PM ET; Last updated April 3, 2015 5:26 PM ET

On his Thursday April 2, 2015 show Rush Limbaugh reported that after the report of the hypothetical refusals, not a real refusal, to cater a same sex wedding, hundreds if not thousands, of mean spirited, hate filled tweets were posted making threats to the business owners. Most of them were generated by ten to fifteen people, using robot programs pretending to be sent by real people. Limbaugh added that an online fund raising effort got $140,000 for the pizza shop owners who were forced to close due to the threats. He also noted that Apple has more stores in Tehran than in all of Indiana. But while the CEO of Apple Computers condemns Indiana, he remains silent about Iranian practices of stoning women, killing homosexuals, while they focus on "dangerous" Indiana. By Friday April 3, 2015 the amount raised online was almost $500,000. As of 11 PM Friday April 3, 2015 over $800,000 was raised when the account was closed.

[From article]
On Tuesday, the co-owner of Memories Pizza told a local Indiana television station that the restaurant would not cater pizzas to a gay wedding.
On Wednesday, talk radio host Dana Loesch spoke with Crystal O’Connor, the co-owner of Memories Pizza.
Crystal told Dana the family is in hiding and were unable to open the store Wednesday after receiving several threats.
[. . .]
Nearly $800,000 has been raised so far for the Christian business owners on a Go-Fund Me website.

An Indiana pizza shop may be the first to publicly say it will not serve gay weddings.
The O’Connor family owns Memories Pizza in Walkerton, southwest of South Bend.
“If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no,” Crystal O’Connor tells WBND-TV, adding, “We are a Christian establishment.”
Family members say they agree with Gov. Mike Pence that the bill does not encourage discrimination against gays and lesbians.
“We’re not discriminating against anyone, that’s just our belief and anyone has the right to believe in anything,” O’Connor told WBND.
[. . .]
espite their opposition to gay marriages, the O’Connor family promises that if a gay couple or a couple belonging to another religion come in to the restaurant to eat, they would not be turned away.

[From article]
IMPD said the call came in at 9:17 p.m., when a homeowner said he'd fire shots at two intruders in his home on the 4500 block of Devon Court on Indianapolis' northeast side.
The caller told police he thought some of the shots hit an intruder, but wasn't sure.
A man later identified as 22-year-old Deandre Twyman arrived at Community East Hospital at 9:40 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly thereafter.

Indiana Sex Offender Leads Police To Seven Bodies

[From article]
Seven women’s bodies were found in northwestern Indiana over the weekend after a convicted sex offender’s confession to one killing led police to the grisly discovery of other deaths, including three in one abandoned house, authorities said Monday.
The discoveries began after a Darren Deon Vann, 43, allegedly confessed to killing a woman whose body was found Friday in a Motel 6 in Hammond, Indiana. He then told investigators where more bodies could be found in abandoned homes in the nearby city of Gary, a deteriorating former steel town about 30 miles southeast of Chicago, police said.
Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson said Monday that the suspect is a sex offender from Austin, Texas.

Indiana Police Break Car Window Use Stun Gun On Driver

Compare this event with how police across the country treat illegal aliens with no driver's license or other ID.

[From article]
The video, recorded by the driver’s 14-year-old son, captured a Sept. 24 confrontation between two adults in the car and police that’s the basis of a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court against several officers and the city of Hammond. After police pulled over the driver, Lisa Mahone, officers demanded that passenger Jamal Jones produce identification — something the lawsuit says Jones did not have with him.
The video shows an officer breaking the front passenger window with a club, with shards of glass showering the vehicle’s four occupants, including Mahone’s son and daughter in the back seat. An officer then shocked Jones with a stun gun.
Before that, Mahone could be heard saying she’s scared after officers pulled a gun on them. The lawsuit says Mahone called 911 when she became concerned about the officers’ actions.

Short Marriage. Indiana Doctor Shoots Dead Nurse Wife and Self, Day of Wedding

Tragedy: George 'Scott' Samson and Kelly Ecker married on Saturday evening and returned to Samson's Terre Haute home for their wedding party

[From article]
Three minutes after the final guest departed, Ecker, who is a nurse at the same hospital as Samson, made the first of three terrified 911 calls claiming her husband was going to kill her.
The first two frantic calls to the dispatcher ended abruptly, but moments later Ecker phoned back, her trembling voice pleading for help, before a volley of gunshots rang out and the phone line cut.
Less than half-an-hour later, officers who who responded to the couple's Terre Haute home discovered the body of Ecker, fatally shot in the head and neck and in the basement the body of Samson, who had taken his own life with a 45-caliber semi automatic pistol.
According to Advance Indiana, the reception had been changed from the newlywed's home to the Ohio Building at the last minute and the marquee tent set up in their garden still hauntingly sits outside their home.
[. . .]
Witnesses told the IndyStar that the couple had argued at the end of their reception and the final guest left anesthesiologist Samson's home at 1.17am.
[. . .]
'They were having some domestic problems at the house. Within a short amount of time guests decided it would be best if they left. Shortly after the last guest left that's when things went terribly wrong,' said Cottom.

IN Man Charged With Killing Mother of His Girlfriend

Victim: The body of flight attendant Decarol Deloney-Cain was found bound and wrapped in bags on Monday

[From article]
An 18-year-old has been charged with murdering his girlfriend's mother after Indiana police found a GPS system pinpointing where the body was dumped.
Damarius Rashard Wren was charged on Friday with killing Decarol Deloney-Cain, whose body was found stabbed, bound and left in the trunk of her car on Monday.
The 54-year-old flight attendant's body had to be identified through the serial number in her breast implants.
When police searched the victim's home they found traces of blood, stains, and red duct tape similar to that used to bound the hands and feet of Deloney-Cain.
Police were allegedly contacted by the victim's teenage daughter, who said she had found a bloody wrench in the basement bedroom of her home.

Indianapolis Policeman Shot Dead

[From article]
The department said that Renn and another officer responded to a report of shots being fired on the northeastern side of the city. When the two approached an alley near where the shots were reported, they saw a group of people. As they approached, one man, identified as 25-year-old Major Davis Jr. opened fire with an assault weapon.
Davis was wounded by one of the officers and was taken to the same hospital where Renn died. He is listed as being in critical condition. Police say Davis has been preliminarily charged with murder.

White Employee Fired By All Black Indiana Office

The term minority needs definition. Like racism it means whatever the speaker wants it to mean as in Humpty Dumpty in Alice in Wonderland. In a office that is all black save one white employee which is the minority? In a city or neighborhood all black what is the minority? Is it the population figures for a country or the world? Among world population in this claimed global society white people are about 16 percent of the population. Some city councils as in Boston with majority "minority" populations want to ban the use of the word minority and give preferences to persons of color. Affirmative Action punishes people who did no wrong, and rewards others who suffered no harm. That is one of the protocols implemented during the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. They punished people who did no wrong.
