Updated: NBC Bans Broadcasting Trump Pageant, US Rep. Joins Boston Columnist In Personal Attacks; NASCAR Moves Meeting

Posted June 30, 2015 9:09 PM ET; Last updated July 6, 2015 8:17 PM ET

NBC indicates it does not support the U.S. Constitution. The purpose of the First Amendment, i.e., the concept of free speech is to protect speech you hate. NBC interprets the idea as protecting speech they love and censoring speech they do not like. Bad enough for an individual, but this is one of six major broadcast corporations which used to keep Americans and others informed. Now they mislead and confuse. Shameful.

Glad to see that U.S. Rep. Capuano uses personal attacks to help inform voters in his district. Just what is needed in a one party state. Keeping voters and taxpayers dumbed down helps incumbents keep their jobs.

[From article]
“I know plenty of people like that, and at any local bar, you can find some loud-mouth jerk at the end of the bar who’s willing to say such stupid, idiotic things,” the Somerville Democrat told Boston Herald Radio “Morning Meeting” hosts Hillary Chabot and Scott Ferson. “The fact that he’s running for president, I actually think if I was a Republican running for president I’d be embarrassed that he was in the field — and being taken seriously by some people.”
[. . .]
Trump’s comments on Mexican immigrants are not only unnecessary, Capuano said but “insulting,” especially given Trump has refused to back down from them.
“For him to double down and say, ‘I meant it’ — fine, you meant it, but now you go down as an official jerk in my book,” he said .
[. . .]
He is exciting on some level, he’s a celebrity and he does say crazy, stupid things. He will attract some people.”

It is perplexing that journalists who ridicule billionaires, speak for everyone else. How do they know what others think? Atkins says "Few would argue that Trump is anything but a fringe candidate. It pains me to even waste good newspaper ink writing about him." Really? How does she know what Trump thinks? Instead of answering claims about criminals entering the United States committing crimes Americans won't commit, journalists and politicians join in personal attacks. Immigration is only one issue which these two powerful groups refuse to discuss facts and policy so that voters and taxpayers can make responsible decisions to keep themselves safe. Using polling numbers this early is lame at best. In 2013 the NYC mayoral election was won by about 20 percent of eligible voters. The issue is a dumbed down population which is a product of misguided journalists who use personal attacks (like this one) and cute talk instead of factual arguments to keep voters informed.

Few would argue that Trump is anything but a fringe candidate. It pains me to even waste good newspaper ink writing about him.
Still, it seems Trump honestly thinks he speaks for a large swath of Americans yearning for a candidate who speaks truth to power and who won’t let political correctness stand in the way. Who he actually speaks to is a tiny segment of the populace who mistakes bigoted drivel for frankness and egotism for authority. Remember, he was the king of the anti-Obama birther movement. Everything about him, including his professed business acumen and even his hairstyle, is artificially inflated for effect.

The presidential hopeful placed ahead of perceived front-runner Jeb Bush in a new aggregated 'poll of polls' with 13.6 per cent support compared to the former Florida governor's 13.3.
The rise comes as public figures and businesses continue to admonish Trump because of the comments saying that those crossing the border from Mexico illegally were 'rapists'.
Former Republican candidate Mitt Romney told CNN Saturday that the businessman 'made a severe error in saying what he did about Mexican-Americans'.
Trump defended the remarks, and used an interview on Fox and Friends Saturday morning to take a dig at fellow presidential hopeful Marco Rubio.

On the same day one of its top sponsors called on NASCAR to take a stance against Trump, the motorsports series said it will not hold its season-ending awards ceremony at the Trump National Doral Miami.
'We looked at everything we saw coming down and what we heard from our sponsors and our partners and what we feel we should be doing, and that's what led us to the decision today,' NASCAR spokesman David Higdon said Friday at Daytona International Speedway.

Mexico is “sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us. They are bringing drugs and bringing crime and their rapists,’’ Trump asserted during his campaign launch earlier this month.
NBC said it will now no longer air the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, which were joint ventures between NBC and Trump.
Trump has already said he wouldn’t be appearing on the network’s show “The Apprentice” because of his presidential bid.
But NBC said the spinoff “Celebrity Apprentice” will continue without him.

“You have to stop illegal immigration. I know NBC might disagree with me, but you cannot have illegal immigration. You do not have a country if you do. I told NBC I can’t change my stance. My stance on immigration is correct.”

No Need To Read The Letter, Just Answer It

US Rep. Michael Capuano with former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who explained about Obama's Health Care Bill, "We have to pass the bill in order to learn what is in it."

US Rep. Capuano, who extended The Pelosi doctrine to letters from constituents.

Have US Congressmen given up on ever learning how to read? We know they do not need to read the bills they vote on making them into laws. But now it appears they do not read letters from their own constituents who elect them. I do not know who is more to blame--voters who elect these bozos or the bozos themselves.

[Letter to US Rep. Michael Capuano (D-MA)

Dear Mike Capuano,
You must be thinking of some other constituent's letter.  I wrote that if the State was getting
rid of shooter games at MassPike rest areas, we should look into changing the toxic atmosphere
in our halfway houses for juvenile offenders(I worked at one.)  At times, all 3 floors had  violent rap,
violent videogames, and violent movies on a jumbo screen going simultaneously.
To build a true therapeutic community costs money: instead, staff bonded with their charges over these games
and rewarded kids with increased access to it.  Gunfire, screaming, explosions, blood:
that's our babysitter!

Yours in gun control and other kinds of control, too, I hope,
Ian

Dear Mr. MacKinnon:

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns that violent video games are receiving unfair blame in the wake of recent tragedies, such as that in Newtown, Connecticut. I agree that holding video games responsible for violent behavior is unproductive and that what our country needs is to implement real reforms that address gun violence.

Racially Pure Congressional Districts

Regarding affirmative action congressional redistricting, according to the figures cited in this essay white people are 48 percent of the 8th Congressional district. Why is there no affirmative action and reparation scheduled for white people in the 8th?

[From essay]
"Sen. Brown objects to gerrymandering that “dilut[es] the voting strength of citizens based on the color of their skin.” But no one involved seems concerned in the slightest with gerrymandering that concentrates the voting strength of citizens based on the color of their skin.
[. . .]
The discussion is analogous to that surrounding affirmative action. If it’s racist to exclude students or job-seekers based on the color of their skin, why should it be praiseworthy to promote applicants based on skin color? Martin Luther King dreamed of “a nation where [his children] will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Racial gerrymandering makes a mockery of this dream."

MA US Rep Calls for Getting "a little bloody."

US Rep. Capuano (D-MA) who represents Cambridge MA, host city of Harvard University and MIT calls for getting "a little bloody." Sounds about right coming from the thugocracy that runs MA. In his one-party state the official thugs overwhelm any and all criticism. Capuano thrives in this atmosphere with no opposition. MA police and the Boston FBI do favors for the elected criminal class. The courts back up these abuses of power. Criticizing criminal abuses of power in MA brings more abuses of power. They recruit thugs from outside of the state, which is what worries Wisconsin Gov. Walker. Capuano should hope that his threats are not taken seriously by the violent criminals that work for the SEIU and other unions which support Obama, Soros and their government thugs.

Politicians Work for Themselves

Scott Brown works for the same person Capuano works for, i.e., himself. Capuano said he wanted to be in Congress to get seniority. That is why voters elected Mikey right? How does that differ from how Brown acts? Seniority is seniority.

Capuano is Innocent

Capuano is Innocent

Suggesting that putting “a guy in charge of reform who really was knee-deep in lobbyist games” would be detrimental shows ignorance of how depraved things are in Washington. (DAVID S. BERNSTEIN, “Capuano cornered?” Boston Phoenix, February 25, 2009) If “there is no suggestion that Capuano has done anything illegal,” where’s the beef? The business of government in DC is to get the money and not get arrested. Capuano does that well.
Voters don’t care about corruption, as long as the malfeasant apologizes and says he learned from his bad behavior. Massachusetts voters enthusiastically reward malfeasance when it brings taxpayer funded contracts to the district.
Capuano says, “I hold myself to the highest standards.” Not illegal. High standards. What me worry? If “the biggest political question in Massachusetts [is] who will succeed Kennedy in the US Senate,” the answer is simple -- Capuano.
Bernstein mentions hypocrisy. Hypocrisy? A politician is accused of hypocrisy? I am SHOCKED!!!
Capuano is mostly clueless about what goes on around him. He is likely unaware of any conflicts of interest or even who gave him money. He says he is “closely monitoring this situation.” He cannot be guilty of any wrongdoing if he has no knowledge that it was committed.

Courageous Capuano Clueless About Eliot Sptizer

Courageous Capuano Clueless About Eliot Sptizer

Before Eliot Spitzer was exposed trying to hide his payment to a prostitution ring, called structuring, his office used the NY State Police to investigate the President of the New York State Senate, Joe Bruno a Republican. The Albany DA, the State Public Integrity Commission, the Inspector General, and the Times-Union (newspaper) of Albany joined in the cover up of this abuse of power. Spitzer’s bank notified Dept. of Homeland Security as they are required to because Spitzer asked the bank not to use his name. Fred Dicker, New York Post reporter and NY’s Attorney General Andrew Cuomo showed integrity and did their jobs. New York is not as corrupt as Massachusetts. They eventually oust criminals in office unlike the Bay State. Spitzer is a graduate of Harvard Law School like Barack Obama, Barney Frank, and Franklin Raines. Chuck Turner is a Harvard Graduate. The New York Post reports the events leading up to Spitzer’s resignation. Stop wasting taxpayer funds and time.

Courageous Capuano expresses concern about why the Feds and New York State Attorney General investigated New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Why does he join the outrage of the NY Public Integrity Commission, the Albany County District Attorney and the Albany Times-Union seeking to cover-up the abuses of the Harvard Law grad? Capuano laments the atrocities in Sudan by government thugs there. How many of Capuano's constituents live in New York or Sudan? When a constituent petitioned his office for relief from malfeasance in Massachusetts, he pretended not to receive dozens of calls, letters and faxes. That's as courageous as Obama suggesting that Gov. Blagojevich resign.

US Rep. Michael Capuano is a courageous leader. It is truly surprising that he goes against the tide in Cambridge and openly admits his support for the underdog and hardly known Presidential candidate among Massachusetts voters. What a guy. What a spine!
