NY Gov. Spitzer's Wife Settles Divorce
[From article]
Other perks of the 56-year-old's deal include a new car 'no more than every five years', a housekeeper, accountant, unspecified 'entertainment and activities expenses', a $100,000-per-year charity donation and a part-time assistant.
Mr Spitzer will also take care of his former wife's medical insurance and health care.
Although the multimillionaire does not have to pay child support to Silda for their daughters - Elyssa, 24, Sarabeth, 21, and Jenna, 19 - he must take care of 100 per cent of their medical, dental and college expenses.
The former couple agreed to shared use of their $5million upstate New York farm. However the divorce agreement states that the 'choice of visitors' cannot cause their daughters any emotional distress or embarrassment.
The Spitzers divorce was finalized in February this year and it was agreed that Silda would receive the first $1million within 180 days.
Another $1million will follow on the service of their divorce judgement and then at least $500,000 ever year unless the former politician decides to pay his ex a lump sum.
The annual $240,000 maintenance payment will come to Silda after her former husband has paid the taxes. It will continue until she either remarries or dies.
[. . .]
Eliot Spitzer, who is worth an estimated $46million, comes from a real estate fortune built by his father Bernard Spitzer.
He had earnings of $4.2million for 2012 while Silda Wall Spitzer brought home $112,000 as an executive at NewWorld Capital Group, a private equity firm investing in new energy.

Democratic National Committee Headquarters during the Presidential campaign in June 1972. Campaign strategy and candidate information was kept at the campaign headquarters, not the DNC. The President did not know about the burglary and had no role in it. He became involved in a cover-up that brought down his Presidency. No one died in Watergate. But at least two clumsy reporters made their careers revealing what a disgruntled FBI agent revealed to them about the FBI's investigation. Mark Felt wanted to be FBI Director but was passed over by Nixon. He
abused his power, sharing FBI information with the two Washington Post reporters. They made it appear that they were doing investigations when they were only reporting what Felt told them. It is mind boggling what deceptions are now accepted as history. Hitler's PR man, Josef Goebbels, was correct that lies repeated often enough, become accepted as truth.

Spitzer Most Corrupt Governor
"Spitzer -- who unleashed the State Police against a Republican foe, signed an ethics "reform" bill that made Albany's corruption worse, engaged in illegal banking transactions and patronized at least one prostitute -- was, in fact, the most crooked New York governor in modern times, the record clearly shows."

"A writer like Elkind is entitled to his own opinions but in writing a book that purports to tell the true story of the Troopergate scandal he is not, as former US Sen. Daniel P. Moynihan famously said, entitled to his own facts.

Afghanistan and Eliot Spitzer

Missing from this report of former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer is his abuse of power using the NY State police to spy on his Republican opponent, Senate President Joe Bruno. That scandal remains unresolved. Prostitution in general exploits women many of whom are sex slaves controlled by international sex rings. Until the government geniuses recognize this and begin arresting men for soliciting sex and bringing the women in from the cold, criminals will continue to abuse these women. Boston is run by Harvard and MIT geniuses who hold paleolithic positions on this criminal institution.

Good Police Work? Where's Integrity?
The Boston Herald fails to provide the most important facts. Is this guy a Democrat [peaceful, gentle, loving, tolerant] or a Republican [hateful, ignorant, homophobic, intolerant? Did he support same sex marriage? If he opposed it that explains the crime. What kind of person opposes equal rights for others? Homophobes and Republicans always show their violent tendencies toward women. Perhaps Boston needs a security fence to keep Republicans and heterosexuals out of the city. [Is this Barney Frank?]

Is the candidate's integrity measured when admitted to prestigious grad schools? We hear of how smart and ambitious these people are. But when they show their lack of integrity [Eliot Spitzer, Markoff, Franklin Raines, Barney Frank] journalists seldom mention what is lacking. Intelligence and competitiveness is no match for integrity. When will journalists and admissions officers recognize what is missing?

Integrity, not Efficiency
When a state government agency recommends dissolving itself, you know there are serious problems there. (Michael Virtanen, AP, “Stupor-gate,” New York Post, January 23, 2009, Page 2) The Albany County DA and the Commission on Public Integrity failed to perform their duties. Cuomo’s investigation was not “duplicative.”
Lacking subpoena power Cuomo revealed that Spitzer’s office was wrong. If efficiency is the goal one agency is sufficient. But one agency can easily be compromised as two state agencies were under Spitzer. The objective should be integrity. All structures can be corrupted. People with integrity, who do their job as Cuomo did his, are the goal.

Courageous Capuano Clueless About Eliot Sptizer
Before Eliot Spitzer was exposed trying to hide his payment to a prostitution ring, called structuring, his office used the NY State Police to investigate the President of the New York State Senate, Joe Bruno a Republican. The Albany DA, the State Public Integrity Commission, the Inspector General, and the Times-Union (newspaper) of Albany joined in the cover up of this abuse of power. Spitzer’s bank notified Dept. of Homeland Security as they are required to because Spitzer asked the bank not to use his name. Fred Dicker, New York Post reporter and NY’s Attorney General Andrew Cuomo showed integrity and did their jobs. New York is not as corrupt as Massachusetts. They eventually oust criminals in office unlike the Bay State. Spitzer is a graduate of Harvard Law School like Barack Obama, Barney Frank, and Franklin Raines. Chuck Turner is a Harvard Graduate. The New York Post reports the events leading up to Spitzer’s resignation. Stop wasting taxpayer funds and time.
Courageous Capuano expresses concern about why the Feds and New York State Attorney General investigated New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Why does he join the outrage of the NY Public Integrity Commission, the Albany County District Attorney and the Albany Times-Union seeking to cover-up the abuses of the Harvard Law grad? Capuano laments the atrocities in Sudan by government thugs there. How many of Capuano's constituents live in New York or Sudan? When a constituent petitioned his office for relief from malfeasance in Massachusetts, he pretended not to receive dozens of calls, letters and faxes. That's as courageous as Obama suggesting that Gov. Blagojevich resign.

Harvard School of Lawlessness?
Cambridge liberals oppose ICE operations. The same protesters petition the City Council to force developers to hire only long time Cambridge residents and union members. They want the city to be a sanctuary city but they want all construction jobs for long time Cambridge residents. What jobs are left for the illegal immigrants? Why are they permitted to walk when police arrest them for possession of drugs and driving without a license? Why are citizens punished when the illegal immigrants are not? This is unequal protection of the laws. Why do limousine liberals want to enforce laws unequally? They elected a Harvard corporate lawyer governor, who believes in selective enforcement along with the majority of voters in this lawless state. What laws should the unenlightened citizens obey? Crony capitalism destroyed the nation's financial system. In Massachusetts the government is run by crony law enforcement. Barney Frank, Franklin Raines, Barack Obama and Eliot Spitzer are all from Harvard Law School. Obama and Spitzer advocated drivers' licenses for illegal aliens. Should the prestigious school be more properly called the Harvard School of Lawlessness?

Lawless Cambridge City Council
Cambridge City Council March 27, 2008
City Hall
795 Mass Avenue
Cambridge MA 02139 Interpreting City Council Rules
Honorable Councilors:
It was delightful to see Vice Mayor and City Councilor Brian Murphy holding the gavel at the March 24, 2008 meeting. Murphy belongs to the new breed of Harvard lawyer in the tradition of Eliot Spitzer, Barack Obama and Deval Patrick.
He is one of many typical Harvard lawyers to exercise public power. Like Obama, Patrick and Spitzer Murphy is an underprivileged member of society. Patrick has two McMansions and rides in a Cadillac at taxpayer expense to help reduce global warming.
Obama is the candidate of change who raised about $175 million to promote his image among the hoped-for voters. He spends the money on jet travel around the country helping to reduce global warming. He hires high priced PR firms with corporate connections e.g., to ATT a broadcaster of pornography. He buys advertising on TV and the internet to raise more money. Obama is reported to be a poor black man. But he earns more than $1 million per year in sales from his books alone. His income with his wife’s is about $1 million more.
There’s nothing wrong with being rich. Pretending to be poor raises the questions. Obama is a close associate of Deval Patrick who masquerades as a civil rights attorney while promoting corporate gambling interests. Patrick used his hoped-for approval of casinos to balance the budget, which he unbalanced upon taking office. Casinos prey on poor uneducated persons.
Eliot Spitzer denied abusing his office for many months. He was under scrutiny by three state agencies for abusing the police powers of the state. When his money transfers and visits with ladies of the night were revealed he resigned in disgrace.
Unlike his fellow city councilors Brian Murphy has the good sense to recuse himself when voting on appropriations for the Cambridge Health Alliance for which his wife works.
But like his fellow councilors he exercises the city council rules in an arbitrary and capricious manner focused on restricting citizen participation. That is a direct violation of the goals of the city council. Goal number 4 (page 3 of goals) states: “Improve and simplify public access to city services and provide more and better opportunities for the public to participate in governing.”
Policy guidelines for this goal states:
∑ Continue to improve and coordinate public information functions.
∑ Increased utilization of new technology both for easier access to services and information, and for encouragement and support of public input.
On March 24, 2008 Murphy chaired the Council meeting while the Mayor was attending a funeral. When I was called for public comment he cited Council Rule number 37, Section 4, which states: “Poster or placards must remain outside the Sullivan Chamber.”
He objected to my sign, which I wore for many months at many council meetings. It says,
OVERTHROW HEALY ROSSI
I never saw that rule enforced over the past ten years I’ve been attending council meetings. Many people including lawyers and citizens bring signs to show the council what they are talking about. The council doesn’t enforce its own rules among the members. I’ve complained about their lack of knowledge of the rules for four years. Twice an order was introduced to teach the council Robert’s Rules and the council’s rules. But they refuse to learn them.
The council does not enforce the following Council rules, by which the meetings are supposed to be run.
Rule 14 regarding conflicts of interest.
Rule 16 regarding reconsideration.
Rule 17 regarding special events.
Rule 23C(1)(a) regarding Public comment.
Rule 37 Section 1 regarding delay and interrupting.
Rule 37 Section 2 regarding private conversations.
Rule 37 Section 3 regarding eating and drinking.
Rule 37 Section 6 regarding remarks.
Like the other typical Harvard lawyers Councilor Murphy selectively enforced the rules on March 24, 2008 for his own benefit and to the detriment of the Council Goals and to the detriment of the few courageous citizens who come to the council meetings to participate in government.
He joins the tradition of previous Harvard affiliates who chaired the council meetings being strict and abusive with the citizens often provoking them, but ignoring the rules regarding the way that the elected officials act arrogantly disregarding the rules. That is the tradition of typical Harvard lawyers.
Murphy is an obedient servant of the homosexual lobby. Was that two of the priests of the lobby at the March 24, 2008 meeting?
The councilors are humorous to watch because they all know how to suspend the rules, which makes it unnecessary to learn any other rules. If a councilor does not know what to do and they often don’t know, the councilors just ask to suspend the rules. Simple.
On the agenda for March 24, 2008 the Mayor who usually runs the meetings for this term, sponsored an order regarding the council rules.
Order #7. That the Government Operations Committee review City Council policy on Public Comment with a view towards making any necessary amendments and report back to the City Council on this matter.
Mayor Simmons
Robert Winters, the Minister of Propaganda for the Cambridge Chapter of the Conformist Party wrote on his blog:
“I'm not sure what the mayor has in mind with this order, but we would all benefit from changes that limit the role of the narcissists that now dominate public comment at City Council meetings. There's an old phrase we used to hear a lot around Cambridge: "The bad drive out the good." When nut cases (do I really have to name them) turn the opening of every City Council meeting into a circus side show, this benefits no one and does nothing to promote democracy. Of course you don't really have to refer this to a committee for a solution. All it takes is a mayor with a firm hand and a heavy gavel. Enough already!”
Robert is a nice person. His comments on this proposed order are not bad for a chubby cheeked victim of bullies. Would that explain why Robert picks on persons with disabilities to ridicule and to humiliate? He believes that persons with disabilities should not participate in government and should not run for office. He accused some people of being narcissists. But he comments on everything on his blog and his blog is named for himself. He projects onto others his own failings.
He resorts to personal attacks on behalf of the Conformist Party to which all nine councilors belong. He attributes disabilities to those he dislikes. And uses allegations of disability to justify restrictions on their participation in civic affairs, contrary to City Council goals, and the discrimination laws. He shares the unlawful policies of the Conformist Party regarding persons with disabilities. What a guy.
He must have been abused severely by those high school bullies. This is the kind of person that Harvard and Brandeis hire as a part time instructor. He is one person from who Harvard students learn to abuse persons with disabilities.
What is most charming about the delightful Harvard instructor, who masquerades as a professor, is that he works for a police agency, the FBI or one of the many local operations in Cambridge. He abuses that police power uttering hate speech toward persons with disabilities. The Cambridge police enforce bias laws contrary to law – misfeasance. But they permit this poseur to abuse those same powers.
Winters used to come to the council meetings and bloviate on matters in his serious tone. Was it his bad comments that drove away the many persons who used to attend council meetings?
Robert is a city councilor wannabe having run and lost for that august office. He’s also an election commission wannabe. But the Manager refused to appoint him. Be nice to Robert. He is love-deprived, insecure and needs to pick on persons with disabilities to make him feel better about himself.
Call him and tell him how great he is and that you share his concern about vulnerable persons exercising their Constitutional rights. They are not worthy like academic super star Robert.

Good Job!
Fred Dicker and the New York Post deserve great praise for exposing
Spitzer's abuse of police powers. Unexpectedly a Democratic Attorney General
quickly verified the Post's report, "the pretext for the surveillance was a
lie." (Dicker, "Post's haste ignited the gov scandal," New York Post, July 24,
2007, page 4)
If the staff of a former state attorney general easily abused the awesome
police powers targeting an elected official, what defenses are there for
civilian critics? Too many public officials abuse their privileges using police
to intimidate their critics. What remains unaddressed is pervasive abuses of
journalists to mislead the public.

POST'S HASTE IGNITED THE GOV SCANDAL
By FREDRIC U. DICKER, State Editor
New York Post
July 24, 2007 -- ALBANY - The Post blew the lid off the surveillance of Majority Leader Joe Bruno by Gov. Spitzer's office 2½ weeks ago with an exclusive front-page story headlined: "Police State: Gov. Sicced Cops On Joe."
The Post's probe of the misuse of State Police by Gov. Spitzer's administration - which triggered Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's bombshell report yesterday - was launched after it became clear that something was wrong with an earlier newspaper article suggesting Bruno had misused state aircraft for political purposes.
That Albany Times-Union story on July 1 based its claim on detailed State Police travel records for Bruno - the likes of which had never been made public before for any state official.
State Police sources told The Post at the time that they had never seen records like those - detailing Bruno's stop-by-stop travel schedule and, in the process, potentially compromising Bruno's personal security - ever handed over to a newspaper.
Working through the Fourth of July holiday, The Post interviewed nearly a dozen senior officials with ties to Gov. Spitzer's office, the Legislature and the State Police, and checked volumes of travel records for several top officials.
The paper's bombshell July 5 story documented an unprecedented State Police intelligence-gathering program aimed at Bruno.
It also noted that the pretext for the surveillance was a lie.
Now-suspended Spitzer Communications Director Darren Dopp had told The Post that the record-keeping on Bruno was begun because state Conservative Party Chairman Michael Long had complained about his supposed misuse of the State Police during visits to the city, a claim Long strenuously denied to the paper.
When Dopp subsequently contended he never made such a claim, The Post published an e-mail that Dopp had sent showing that he had.
Later stories also detailed Dopp's multiple and contradictory claims as to why State Police records were kept on Bruno.
They also revealed - in a matter that was not addressed in the Cuomo report - that aides to Spitzer sought to convince prosecutors to begin investigating Bruno before the initial Times-Union report was in print.

One-Party Probe
The Post Editorial asks, "So what was the point of the probe?" ("SOARES
WIMPS OUT," Editorial, New York Post, September 21, 2007) In a one party
government it is for show business, to make it appear as if there is
accountability.
If there ever was an argument for at least two strong political parties
here it is. A one-party system exhibits Lord Acton's observation that "Absolute
power corrupts absolutely."
A Democrat saying "This office found no illegal conduct," (KENNETH
LOVETT, "'DIRTY TRICKS' PROBE COMES UP CLEAN," New York Post, September 21,
2007) is not believable. Soares should have appointed a special prosecutor to do
the investigation. Why do only D.C. Democrats recognize the need for two strong
parties which have an interest in exposing abuses of power?

'DIRTY TRICKS' PROBE COMES UP CLEAN
By KENNETH LOVETT Post Correspondent
New York Post
September 21, 2007 -- ALBANY - Albany County District Attorney David Soares
yesterday cleared the Spitzer administration of any wrongdoing in the
dirty-tricks scandal.
"This office has found no illegal conduct," Soares said in a statement
announcing the conclusion of the seven-week investigation.
"To the contrary, we found that the governor, his staff and the New York State
Police were acting within their authority in compiling and releasing documents
to the media concerning the use of state aircraft," Soares added.
Soares - who closed the investigation after probers interviewed Gov. Spitzer
Wednesday - said he will release a detailed report today.
"The governor is gratified by the conclusions reached by [Soares] and looks
forward to reading the report," said Spitzer spokeswoman Christine Anderson.
Republicans and other critics of the scandal yesterday questioned how Soares
could find no criminal wrongdoing when his investigators did not subpoena
records or place anyone interviewed - including the governor - under oath.
They say one reason they wanted Soares, who like Spitzer is a Democrat with
strong support from the minor Working Families Party, to conduct the probe is
because he had subpoena power that Attorney General Andrew Cuomo lacked in his
investigation.
While Cuomo also found no criminality, he concluded that top Spitzer aides acted
improperly in using the State Police to compile damaging information for the
press on the use of the state air fleet by Spitzer's top political foe, Senate
Majority Leader Joseph Bruno.

SOARES WIMPS OUT
Editorial
New York Post
September 21, 2007 -- Albany County DA David Soares seems set to throw Eliot
Spitzer a life raft: Soares will release a report today claiming that the
governor and his staff engaged in "no illegal conduct" in their Dirty Tricks
campaign.
But if Spitzer, Soares or anyone else thinks such a report will absolve the
governor in the minds of the public and restore confidence in him, they're badly
mistaken.
Instead, the report may be seen for exactly what it was no doubt intended to be:
a whitewash of the governor's office's Dirty Tricks campaign.
In a statement late yesterday, Soares hinted at what he'll likely say today.
"This office has found no illegal conduct," it said. "To the contrary, we found
that the governor, his staff, and the New York State Police were acting within
their authority in compiling and releasing documents to the media concerning the
use of state aircraft."
The statement is bizarre on its face.
Soares apparently placed no one under oath - even though he clearly had the
power to do so. And his statement fell well short of what Attorney General
Andrew Cuomo's report found in July:
* That the governor's staff directed State Police to manufacture documents
smearing state Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno.
* That the staff used the rationale that a newspaper asked for the documents in
a Freedom of Information Law request - but the only such requests, from The
Albany Times-Union, came long after document-gathering had begun.
* That the governor's staff had engaged in, at the least, unethical conduct that
warranted disciplinary or other action.
The real story seemed even worse - because Spitzer and his staff refused to
cooperate with Cuomo. And Cuomo lacked subpoena power to compel them to testify
and hand over documents.
[...]
So what was the point of the probe?

Breathing Together
If you believe government prosecutors, only crime families form
conspiracies. But in reporting the widening scandal of abuses of power by the
Office of the New York Governor, Fredric Dicker refers to "the plot by top
Spitzer Aides," and "one of the plotters." (Fredric Dicker, "Eliot aide lawyers
up," New York Post, August 21, 2007, page 2) A group of men working together to
abuse the police power of the state contrary to law sounds like a conspiracy to
me. Is it possible for public officials to conduct a criminal conspiracy? Is the
Pope German?

In the Name of Right
Explaining the abuse of police power, New York Governor Eliot Spitzer said,
his administration "'allowed our passion to get the best of us,' They were
'fighting so hard for what we believed was right that we let down out guard.'"
(John Podhoretz, "The Humble Act," NYPost, August 10, 2007, page 31) Have these
small-minded politicians ever heard George Bernard Shaw's dictum, "The road to
hell is paved with good intentions?" Or Greek pre-Homeric Philosopher
Cleobulous's observation that "The chief source of evil among men is excessive
good?"
The lack of respect for New York Senator Joe Bruno and for the democratic
process indicates that these politicians are simply evil. The greatest harm
always appears in the name of good. Why are these superior men employed by "The
Steamroller" unable to simply follow the laws of the state and the US? Does
their superiority make them see what is more important than obeying the law and
their oaths of office?
