Scrappin' Saturday- Ice theme!

Hello and Welcome to another Scrappin' Saturday!! This week the challenge has been to use ice cream or a cool treat on a project. Well I have found some really great layout with this theme! I think summer layouts are my favourite! You can use bright colours and photos from summer time are usually outdoors. And nothing says summer like ice cream!!

The first Layout is from Mimikat33

I love the colours she has used and the cute little ice cream cones from Simply Charmed cartridge. Over on her blog she has great step by step instructions for this layout.

This layout is by Jennifer at Creative Cricut Designs
Isn't this cute??!! Jennifer has used Doodlecharms for the ice creams, I love the embossing, it adds a great effect! The title is cut from A Child's Year. The paper works great with it. Head over to her blog for some close ups of this great page!

Next we have a great layout from Deanna at Enjoy the Season
This is a great page that uses Once Upon a Princess cartridge. It all works so wonderfully together! I love the patterned paper used for the ice cream- such a clever idea!! Take a look at her fab blog for more pictures of this fantastic layout!

I hope these layouts has got your creative juices flowing and you create some cool ice cream themed pages this weekend!!

Fantabulous Friday--Frozen Treats!

Hi everyone!  I hope you have had a Fantabulous week!  Today I thought I would highlight some different cuts you can use for our I Scream for Ice Cream! theme this week.

First up, I found several cool treats on the Cricut Lite Sweet Shop.  I don't own this cartridge, but it's on my wish list :)  It has an ice cream cone, ice cream sundae, and a popsicle from what I can see.  If you have this one, you can definitely find a cool treat to make for this week's challenge.

Then there's Simply Charmed.  I just love this cartridge!  There are so many cute cuts on this one and the ice cream and popsicles on this one are just perfect!

And the last one to see today is Sweet Treats.  This cartridge has several versions on ice cream on it, plus lots of yummy other treats to make you hungry!  I like this cartridge for all the great features on it and the great sayings too.

Here's a card I made a year ago using the card feature with the ice cream sundae.  I just love this feature!  I really need to try it out more than I have!

I'm sure there's more cuts on other carts.  So make sure to pick your favorite and enter our Challenge this week!

Have a Fantabulous weekend!
Helen

Thursday's Tutorial: Pink Cowboy Boot Card

Alright Everyone, Thank you so much for your patience this morning. Today I have a tutorial from our very own Sabrina from her wonderful blog - Scrappin' With Sabrina. Okay, so this card has nothing to do with our theme from this week, but it was just so darn cute that I had to share it with you all. It's been on my list to share for a while and I figured, why not now? This is another Gypsy creation, but of course, if you don't have the Gyspy you can still use the cuts on any of your Cricut Machines. Hope you all enjoy and be sure to stop over to Sabrina's blog for some more details and to see some of her other awesome creations!

Please be sure to leave us some feedback. We always love to hear from you and I personally read each and every comment. BTW, there are some of you that have asked questions previously and please know that I will be answering them shortly. :0)

Wednesday Winners #68

Hi Fantabulous Cricut followers, I hope you are enjoying your summer and have had the chance to spend some time outdoors. I haven't been camping, but I have been enjoying soaking up the sun! I have a wonderful trip planned to Maine at the end of August and nothing says "outdoors" like Maine. I am so excited and will take many, many pictures to scrapbook. After checking out all of the "Let's Go Camping" projects from last week's challenge, I'm more than excited to visit my favorite state! We won't be camping out, but where we stay is surrounded by woods and the ocean. Can't get better than that. Everyone did such a fantastic job and after seeing these, you'll want to spend some time in nature too! To see all of last week's awesome entries click HERE.

Quick Tip Tuesday: Sayings and Sentiments

Hello again. Glad you stopped by for another Quick Tip Tuesday.
Even though I have lots of stamps and digi's for my card sentiments, I still like to search for other sources.
I was searching the web and I found several sites you might be interested in. The first one is http://www.making-birthday-cards.com/ Just click "Sayings" in the left sidebar and then scroll down the screen. A great thing about this site is its links to other sites. Another is http://www.poemsource.com/. You'll find some delightful poems that might be the perfect for your cards. These are written and submitted by a group of retirees. If you visit here, be sure to read the terms of use. Finally, http://www.funnylittlesayings.com/ This is a great site with lots of variety. Here are some examples for birthdays, but the site has many other categories.

New FCCB Coodinator and Design Team Members

FCCB is well over a year old, and has been a popular place for many Cricut lovers to gain inspiration, which has been my motto for Fantabulous Cricut "Share, Create and Inspire" others on a daily basis.
As the creator of FCCB I've chosen to step back a bit and Amy Jo (a current DT member) has willingly stepped up to be the coordinator of FCCB.
I will continue to be part of the DT with Monday challenge inspiration and stepping in as needed from time to time.

Amy Jo is so sweet and excited to be the FCCB coordinator, she has already been working behind the scenes for several weeks now organizing the daily inspiration posts, choosing a super talented design team along with other tasks that need to be managed at FCCB.
