The last of the Scarborough redscale photos...

These photos are cheering me up today as it is now under two months until our holiday in Whitby and I think Whitby is going to be the perfect location to use more of this redscale XR film in my LC-A. I'm already planning all the other films and cameras I want to take too!

Purple rain...

You can't see the rain really in these photos, but it was raining at the time honest...
Also, there are worse songs to be reminded of when looking at photos right?

This week has kind of sucked so far... work had been kicking my butt, I've finally got my site looking how I want to, but the RSS feed is suffering because of it but I don't want to change it all now that it finally looks right, I just want to somehow make the RSS feed ignore the coding, or replace it somehow? Is that even possible?! I have no idea.

is pretty much how I'm feeling right now and I think the purple stormy skies from the tungsten film  reflect that pretty well.

Shades of turquoise...

Remember my confession of love for this Agfa film yesterday... well here are more reasons why I really love that turquoise shift and also, another confession of love for my Superheadz camera... I knew it could produce beautiful vignetting, but this film has taken that aspect and really made it special.

Compared to yesterday's photos, for some reason these doubles only seem to show hints of Davide's exposure and my photos of Wells and Harry (who I'm seeing Sunday, woo) are really prominent but I love the subtleness of layering this produces.

One of my favourite things about film is that there are so many options before you even take photos, its easy to stick with camera/film combinations but these photos remind me that I need to try as many different films as I can.

Have a great weekend!

We're actually going home and to Wells again this weekend, so these photos are pretty fitting.

An impromptu photoshoot...

Thomas and I rarely have our photo taken together, he hates it, I don't pester... (well, too much.)
So I was very excited when my sister and her husband (ha, so weird) gave me a CD with photos from February (at the barn and Heysham) with these on it!

Phone photos from the weekend...

After planning this weekend away to Felixstowe with Thomas's parents for a while now, I was excited abut the beach and finally taking some photos... but weather wise, the weekend was mostly a wash out and even though I took 3 cameras with me (perhaps too optimistically?) I didn't even use one.

I'll admit I had a little tantrum/cry about that - not taking photos is beginning to send me a bit...
in the words of lovely Angie... bat-$h1t crazy.

However to our surprise and delight, the sun finally showed itself on Sunday and although I had no cameras with me, I did have my phone and it was just as fun to take photos with that and then put them all through instagram (I am slightly addicted...).
So I finally got some photos in the end, hurray.

p.s. Can you see little Ada there? We had a lot of fun together, I'm looking forward to taking more photos of her when the sun comes out (hopefully soon)

St Patrick's Chapel, Heysham

Hello! Sorry for the blog silence, I've been sick.
I'm feeling much better now though and I finally developed my elusive film from February over the weekend too
so I finally have some colour photos to share, hurray!
(I'm not thrilled with the scans though, I'm going to take the negs to my usual place,
so these may be replaced when I do that...)

I'm so glad these photos turned out well, they are of St Patrick's Chapel, Heysham - a ruined building which stands on the coastline of Heysham, next to the newer St Peter's Church. It is a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument believed to be dated from the 8th or 9th Century.

Just beneath the chapel was a peaceful little cove where we sat for a while taking it all in, I loved the colours of the shells and the sound of the waves.

Heysham Diana Mini's Part 3

It's a miserable day in Leeds... kind of like how you picture wet, rainy Yorkshire to be really.
So it seemed like the perfect day to share some gloomy photos from Heysham.
(yup, still catching up with photos from February, oops)

These photos were taken just after parts one and two, and as you can see, the weather really turned on us - though I don't think that this really explains the darkness to the left of the photos... I'm not actually sure what that is. I did have a few problems with loading this film but these were the only photos on the roll with it, so perhaps it was the weather.
