I sent off a bunch of TTM requests to start the new year, and a few of them were of guys I had gotten in the past. Sid Bream, for example, was someone I needed on some 1987 Topps cards. I sent a few 87s out to a few other guys to see if I could get them back. Ron Gant doesn't have a card in the 1987 set, so I thought I was done sending to him. That is, until I found the above 2014 Stadium Club Firebrand insert at my LCS.
The card floated around my card room for about a year, until I finally put it in my "to be TTMed" box. I ended up sending it out earlier this month, and am glad I did so. It is made of wood, and turned out pretty well. I was afraid it would break in transit, but it turned out ok.
I added a few other cards to the request, including this 1996 Gallery that I picked up while I was visiting Andrew back in May.
I also wanted to add a couple Topps cards to the pile, so I sent a 1989 and a 1999. What a huge difference 10 years makes.
I mailed the cards out to Gant on January 2 and got the cards back on January 11, for a 9-day TAT.

Surprise Gift From Noah - Sonny Gray Auto
I got an awesome gift recently from my great friend, Noah. He sent me this 2014 Topps Stadium Club Sonny Gray auto as a gift, and it is appreciated. Noah is a great guy, and I was so happy that he sent this.
My Gray PC is pretty nice, already. I have quite a few of his autos, and this one looks so cool with the A's colors. I'm glad it is a yellow and green jersey instead of white and green. It really pops.
Thanks so much, Noah, it was really nice of you to hook me up like this.

Care Package From David
Back in February, I posted part of an awesome surprise care package that I got from blog reader, David. He helped me complete my 2014 Topps Chrome set, which was really appreciated. You can read that post here.
Along with the chrome cards that I needed, David also added a bunch of Orioles that I needed in my collection. The above Eddie Murray 2014 Topps manufactured World Series Ring card was something I truly wasn't expecting. The card looks awesome, and I can never have enough Murray stuff. Also, who doesn't love those sideburns?
David also joins the rare club of someone who was able to find a Cal Ripken card that I didn't have in my collection. This All Star scratch-off card came from 1993 Upper Deck. I don't know how this one escaped me for so long. Doesn't matter now, because I have it!
Finally, David included this 2014 Stadium Club Jonathan Schoop on card auto. I already had one, but was happy to get another. I look for Schoop to have a breakout year, this year. His defense is really good; his bat just needs to catch up!
Thank you for the care package, David! If I can ever help your collection out, please let me know!

Pickup From Anthony - 2014 Topps Stadium Club Jonathan Schoop Auto
I made a quick and easy deal on Kik with Anthony the other day when I bought this 2014 Topps Stadium Club Jonathan Schoop auto off of him for only $3 shipped. He gave me such a deal on this card, I couldn't pass it up.
Schoop (pronounced - SCOPE) had a decent year this year and showed that as he develops, he will have a great deal of pop as well as a great glove at second base.
The auto is on card and the shot of him is pretty cool. I was happy to hear that Topps was bringing back Stadium Club this year. The last offering they did was in 2008, a set which I really enjoyed. I haven't been able to pick up too many packs of Stadium Club, but when I have been able to, I have been really happy with what I've gotten.
Thanks for the deal, Anthony!
