Easter 2-Tier Gift Box and Card - Magnolia-licious Easter Blog Hop

Hello.

Our Easter Blog Hop at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog gets under way today.  To get complete details of the challenge and how to play along with us, please visit the challenge blog.

If you're already taking part in the Blog Hop and have arrived here from Chris' blog, then you're on the right track.  If you didn't come from her blog then you just may want to start at the beginning.  Here's a list of the participating DT gals in blog hop order:

Here's what I've created for this Blog Hop--it's an Easter Gift Box along with an Easter card.

Taking a closer look at the gift box first.

The box opens sideway to reveal that it's actually a 2-Tier Gift Box.  Cool, eh?

I saw a model of this box on Pinterest, loved the design so I tried to recreate it.  I made the drawers just large enough so each can be filled with 4 Ferrero Roches chocolate pieces...oh yum!

Edited:  I've now posted the tutorial/templates for a 2-Tier Box that you can find HERE, if you're interested.

Now, for the greeting card, it's really a Surprise Pop-Up Card.

There's a tab at the top/back of the card that you pull out.  The centre panel slides upward to reveal a surprise message/sentiment.

There's a Surprise Pop Up Card tutorial at the Splitcoast Stampers site HERE if you're interested.

Here are close-ups of the Magnolia-Stamps images being featured.

Let It Snow 4-Step Card - Magnolia-licious 'Winter Theme or Anything Goes'

Hello.

We're midway into our 'Winter Theme or Anything Goes' challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  The design team has more cards to inspire you to play along with us.  Don't forget to visit the challenge blog, HERE, to see what my teammates have created and to get complete details on the challenge.

For my DT card, I've created a 4-step card.  This is the card front.

The 4-step feature is inside the card.
(If you're interested in the template for this 4-step card, you can find it HERE.)

The letters for the 'let it SNOW' were cut out by hand.  I didn't have the appropriate dies, so I found a font that I like on the internet, printed out the enlarged letters and then cut them out with my small scissor.  There weren't that many letters to cut out so I didn't mind doing it.

I hope you'll play along with our challenge.  There's a prize of a $20 Gift Certificate from Magnolia-licious.

A closer look at the two Magnolia Stamps images being featured.

- Tilda With Little Snowy from the A Lovely Christmas Collection 2015

- Cozy Christmas Tilda from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013 with a litlle alteration made--I've changed the apple Tilda's holding into a snowball.

Birthday Wishes Pop-Up Book Card - FFFC #122 More Than One Fold

Hello.

It's Friday and it's time for a new challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge.  The lovely Yvonne is our hostess for this challenge and our theme is 'More Than One Fold'.  We're being sponsored by Marianne Design.  To get details on the challenge, the prize being offered and how you can join in the fun, visit the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog.  Don't forget to check out the fabulous cards that my DT teammates have created to inspire you.

I love the theme for this challenge--it's right up my alley!  I've decided to make a pop-up book card.

Here's the front of the card...it's not where you find the 'more-than-one-fold' feature...

...it's inside the card!

I left a blank space on the left side of the 'book' for personal messages.

Since Marianne Design is sponsoring our challenge, I have used a few of their dies to create the floral-and-foliage arrangement.

- MD Creatables LR0117 Frame and Leaves (the orange flower petals are actually leaves)
- MD Creatables LR0133 Open Flower Classic (leaves)
- MD Creatables LR0151 Garden Branch (flourishes)
(The blue flowers are from a Martha Stewart punch.)

Here are close-ups of the Magnolia images being featured--this Tilda below is one of my very favorites.

Sitting Tilda With Butterfly from the Once Upon A Time Collection 2013
Watercan from the Chasing Butterflies Collection 2009

- Tilda With UGG Shoes from the Australian Collection 2012

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store where she carries a large selection of both full-size and mini Magnolia stamps.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.

If you're interested, the Pop-Up Book Card tutorial and template can be found in an earlier posting HERE.
