Jingle all the way..

It really isn't that far away...Christmas that is..and if i want to get a head start on making cards, i need to get started, huh?  I just counted the weeks before i'd send out cards..and it's roughly 15 weeks..i guess i need to double up and do two a week!

So i decided for this card, i would go Christmas..and of course it didn't hurt that i already had the image colored from last year.

Here is my card using a vintage/retired Elf from The Greeting Farm:
Yes, of course i used some dies for this card.  The largest die is from Memory Box and is the Frostyville Wreath #98418, inside of the wreath i added a Spellbinders die called Moroccan Accents S5064.  Then a fun new little die is the Jolly jingle bells #98651..it comes with 5 bells to fit on top of a Jingle bell border...but i used it as a single bell by it self.  The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch and the berries are a larger hand punch.

Close up of the jingle bell die embellishment:

Don't forget to ask to see if we still have the above dies in stock at Dutch Paper Crafts!

I didn't save the Copic info for this coloring..i am guessing this is what i used:

The Creepers at TGF make me grin.  This girl is Jill and she does have a bit of an attitude, doesn't she?  For the TGF Farm Fresh WOW challenge this week, we were to look at an photo for inspiration and then make our card.  i decided to use deconstructing jen's sketch too.

Sending you all my wishes for your Birthday

This week at the Greeting Farm Fresh challenge Blog, our challenge is to pick our favorite color and make a card and at the Birthday Sundaes we are to add at least 3 brads.  I chose to combine the two challenges into one.  My absolutely favorite color is brown, but because i am not to fond of that for a dominate color on a card,  I chose my next favorite color which is red...don't know why i like red, nothing in my home is in red...but i do like the color.  I think i am a neutral sort of gal overall.

What i did:
I saw this awesome card on MFT blog and saved it to case one day and today is the day.  The person who made the card i cased is Sara Gough.  I changed it a bit.  I colored my image called "Stella" at the Greeting Farm with copics and cut it out.  I also paper pieced the dress and added sparkle to the heart locket by using my Gelly Roll pen.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- E34, 37, 29
Envelope- R32, 35

Greeting Farm's Cheeky Beauty's purse card

This week at the Greeting Farm Challenge Blog, the Fresh Friday's challenge is to make a card with a fancy fold and to use an older image.  I chose to make a purse card using Cheeky Beauty.  I also decided to make an inside "pocket" and slipped in a small card/tag with the sentiment.  Now i am thinking this purse could be filled with goodies (jelly bellies, m & m's, any yummy candies) or the purse could hold some 2 x 3" photos.  It would be so cute on an office desk or to give someone in person...as a little "thank you" instead of a birthday.

What i did:
I used Sesame Street Seasons cricut cartridge and made the backpack i "hid" the slits for the backpack straps and also hid the backpack strips, but for a teacher it would be cute to include those.  I also then made 2 holes at the top of the purse for the handle and tied ribbon through the holes.  Next i stitched the gathered eyelet lace around the front of the purse flap.  Colored in my image of Cheeky Beauty, i cut her out, but before i cut her out i glued her to some paper and cut them out together...because my copic coloring shows through the back i wanted to hide it with a backing paper, because the back of her head shows in the back.  I added my embellishments (flowers, button w/a pearl and a ticket sentiment). For the inside pocket i made a small crayon box from Tags, bags boxes and more cartridge.

Photo inspiration challenge at Greeting Farm

This card was made for a Photo inspiration challenge at the Greeting Farm.  Below is the "photo inspiration" and my card is based on that.  The wheels on my card actually turn!

What i did:
I used Baby Steps cart for the crib and added the Old West cart's wheels to make it look like the photo.  The banner is from April Showers cart and the blocks are from New Arrival.  I popped out the crib so is bowing out from the card, added brads to the wheels and they actually turn. I also bent the baby to sit on the crib. I did have to hand cut the white rim on the blocks from the diecut, because they were a stencil cut and not cut all the way through.  I had a piece of old scarf from my altered projects and knotted it and attached it.  The border punch at the bottom is a MS bunch and i just bought that from Michaels.

Copics used:
Baby skin- E51,53, 02
Outfit- YG00, 03
hair- C5,7

Christmas in July

It's been a perfect idea to think of cooler weather with all of the heat we have been having.  I think today is a pleasant day and quite nice to think of Christmas.

What i did:
I used the Wild Card cartridge and made this shaped Star card.  The front is a star attached to the rectangle back.  I used The Greeting Farm stamp from the Roll call kit.  I also used a tag from Winter Frolic along with a sentiment.  The cluster of stars is from a cartridge, but they were in my stash, so i am not sure where they came from.  I used Extreme Glitter paint and painted the cluster, edges of the large star, tag and the word, "you".

Copics used on the image:
Skin- E41, 53, 02
Hair- Y15, YR23
Outfit- G21, 28, R35
Star- G20
Boots- C5,7

Get Well Greeting Farm card

I am using the card sketch at deconstructingjen and combining it with the Greeting Farm challenge.

What i did:
I used the cricut cart Indie Art for the bandaids.  The digi stamp is a combination of 2 stamps, dressy Camille and Joyce.  I also used a cartridge for the sentiment.  To get the string effect i used baker's twine.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- C5, 7
Dress- RV63, 66
Pants/shirt- BG10, 01, 05

Perfectly Lovely Day- Card

The gallery appears to be down at The Greeting Farm today, so I am uploading my challenge to my blog.  The challenge for Farm Fresh Friday is "Body Snatching".  We can use any Greeting Farm body and mix it with any head.  I've chosen to use Fairy Tink and digi Dressy Ebony.  I really like how this turned out.  Of course i am partial to Ebony.  Tink's face is so baby like, i am going to use the other parts for another "creation".

I was also limited to the paper i had being on vacation, but because of the limitation it turned out that i used something i really liked...that i wouldn't have normally used.  The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51,02
Hair- C5,7
Dress- RV09, 63, R81
Wings- YG00
Eyeshadow- V01

Especially for you- Family recipe

I did this challenge for The Greeting Farm's Mystery Monday challenge.  We were to case a card from the gallery.  It was a fun challenge.  I used Amelia from the Just for you stamp set.  I used one of my mom's recipes on the side.  I would be able to give this to anyone in my family.

Magical Birthday Gift

I found these cute little canvas/easels at Hobby Lobby and thought they'd make a cute gift.  Then i saw deconstructing jen's sketch challenge and thought, "ah, ha" this would work great!  What i chose to do was use the digital Alice from The Greeting Farm.  I wanted to make her look like a little girl and not so much Alice.  My daughter suggested a cupcake to go with the paper, and at first i had the mushrooms that went with Alice, but looking closer at the mushroom image, i saw a "cupcake" and used that mushroom to be my cupcake.  Yay!  I also used the digital sentiment from Pink Cat Studio. The canvas measures 2.5" x 2.5".  It would be a cute little gift for someone's desk at their office, don't you think?
