Happy Birthday- Color resist style

Working on some submissions to my favorite magazine, The Stamper's Stampler and this is one of the cards i am submitting.  I am also submitting this card for the Birthday Sundaes challenge at Kristie's blog.
What i did for this card:

i colored this design on my card and then painted over it

Once the paint was dry i scrapped the paint away to get this affect.

I then dry embossed the paper and sanded it.  I also cut out vellum banner shapes and used the same embossing folder on them.  I highlighted them with some stickles.
The sweet digital image is from Cuddly Buddly.

Sending you Birthday wishes

My intention for this card was to do the acrylic challenge at Tiddly Inks.  I am not sure if an overlay "counts" but that is what i have used.  I also wanted to play at Birthday Sundaes and added ribbon and a birthday sentiment as well.
What i did:
I used an overlay frame that i had saved.  I made an oval and put it behind the overlay and then attached it to a white piece of paper by stitching around the inside black oval.  Then i folded the paper in half to turn it into a card, by having the fold on the left.  I cut around the frame except for at the fold.  Colored and cut out the Tiddly Ink image, added sparkle to the wings by using a Gelly Roll clear star pen.  I attached her with pop dots.  Made my own oval sentiment, added ribbon and flowers to the top of the frame.  This card measures about 7" tall.

Sending you all my wishes for your Birthday

This week at the Greeting Farm Fresh challenge Blog, our challenge is to pick our favorite color and make a card and at the Birthday Sundaes we are to add at least 3 brads.  I chose to combine the two challenges into one.  My absolutely favorite color is brown, but because i am not to fond of that for a dominate color on a card,  I chose my next favorite color which is red...don't know why i like red, nothing in my home is in red...but i do like the color.  I think i am a neutral sort of gal overall.

What i did:
I saw this awesome card on MFT blog and saved it to case one day and today is the day.  The person who made the card i cased is Sara Gough.  I changed it a bit.  I colored my image called "Stella" at the Greeting Farm with copics and cut it out.  I also paper pieced the dress and added sparkle to the heart locket by using my Gelly Roll pen.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- E34, 37, 29
Envelope- R32, 35
Shoes- C5
Necklace- N0, Gelly Roll pen- Clear star

Precious Steampunk goes on a Beach Holiday card

My vision for this card is for Precious to go on beach holiday.  She's all packed and ready to go. The two images (Precious and Luggage) are from Tiddly Inks.  The Tiddly Inks challenge is to use a ticket or a tag on my card and the Birthday Sundaes challenge is to make a card based on a photo that has these colors that i've used and it has an umbrella which Precious is holding...and she is going to the beach. :)  I've also used a vintage button.

Other challenges:
Stemplesonne- Bon Voyage

I am using the digital image found at Digi My World.  It is from the fruit series.  I decided to try this new challenge at Birthday Sundaes challenge blog.  The challenge is to use Green, Orange and white...and to have a birthday sentiment.  This is what i made:
