Fun in the Snow!

This past weekend we went up to Brianhead with some friends of ours and stayed at their cabin! Ryleigh has been talking about the snow for MONTHS. On Christmas morning, she ran over to the window and then looked at us with a disappointed look on her face and said, " It didn't snow last night." We felt so bad! Well, ever since then she talks about snow constantly and this weekend she finally got to play in it! Ry and Jax both loved it! They didnt even care when they got cold, they never wanted to go in! Jax's favorite thing to do was ride in the rhino and sit in the drivers seat! He LOVES atv's, rhinos,etc. Anything with a motor that runs outdoors he loves. Ryleigh loved being pulled on a sled from the back of the rhino! She is a little dare devil and kept saying "faster, faster!". They made snow angels, had snow ball fights and just loved being in the snow. One day, we want to own a cabin of our own so all our family and friends can come up and enjoy the outdoors! Our friends were so great to us this weekend! Thanks Matt and Kaylene! We had a blast!

Its official....Im a big boy!

Well, Its official! My little boy is growing up! He is now sleeping in a big boy bed! I know he is two and half, and many kids have been in big kid beds for a while at this age, but I have had no reason to switch him. With Ryleigh, she was about one and a half, but I was prego with Jax and we were moving, so I thought it was a good time. With Jax, no baby on the way and we werent moving, so he stayed in his crib! I think I didnt want to take him out of his crib because it meant he was growing up and my baby didnt need a crib anymore! I am happy to report that he LOVES his new bed! We got him bunk beds, so he thinks hes really special because he has two beds. He goes right to bed in it, sleeps through the night, and wakes up happy! Im surprised he doesnt try and get out when we put him to bed at night. Im sure he will with time, but for now its going really good! Really the only difference is instead of going to get him out of the crib in the morning, he comes to my room and gets right in my face and says "morning mama!". I love it!

I just recently took Ryleigh to the Disney Princesses on Ice! Needless to say, she LOVED it! From the minute I told her we were going, thats all she could talk about! And then after we saw it, it was STILL all she could talk about! We went with some of our friends, and all the girls dressed up like princesses! It was alot of fun and definitely a night that we will never forget!

So, if you know my son at all, you know he has two loves...sports and video games. When it comes to video games, i'm almost a tad embarrassed to admit he is actually pretty good. He really does know what he is doing and can be some what of competition to whoever he is playing. Here he is at my moms house (see the little guy in red?) playing X-Box with my 15 year old brother, (yes, I said 15) and all his buddies having a little X-Box party! He loves going to grandmas to play, because I dont let him play very often...or at least as much as he'd like!

Our First Family Blog

Can you believe it? I'm finally doing a blog! I have had so many people talk about the wonderful world of blogging and I have always wanted to do one, but just never sat down to start. Finally, with the help of my fabulous friend Rachel, I created mine! I think this is a great way for all distant family members and friends to see how all of our families are growing and what everyone is up to!
