Hearts

Today I'm sharing Bobbi's amazing card.

In her words....

Vellum Card featuring Hearts and Square cut out from the new Hearts Die (I used everything - the inverses, but the die cut :)) "With Love" sentiment is from the "Hope" set and the "Thinking of You" inside the card is from the "In the Garden" set.

I glued the hearts to the loose strands of hemp twine that are glued in place under the white panel. I made two square-shaped window cutouts and glued them on both sides of the front vellum panel to create the window.

butterfly kisses

Hello!

How much do I love this card?!
I mean I love all the cards my design team creates but these colours make me happy (just look at the Jane's Doodles logo).

Tinne created this gorgeous colour using Hope and Doodle Butterflies.

Gorgeous blended background. Soft grey tones on the butterflies and flowers so they don't look flat. Heat embossed sentiment.

Hello!

Today I'm sharing Kaja's beautiful card using Hope. This set is great if you need a quick card. I love stamps that have a cluster of flowers all ready to stamp, no masking, etc.
For the sentiment, Kaja used All Occasions.

hope + giveaway winner

Hello!

Today I'm sharing Kaja's gorgeous card using Hope.
What I love about this stamp set is you have a cluster of flowers ready for a stamp and your card is done! Of course, if you have some time to play you can do some masking and add the other flowers.

And to announce the winner of the blog hop....

sale

Hello!

THEY ARE FINALLY HERE!

If you follow me on Instagram (you should because it's where I share the most), you'll know how frustrated I have been. It's been a very slow start to 2021. Brexit's caused some delay and I waited for almost 3 weeks to get my stamps. But they are here, more is to come and hopefully it will be back to normal now that all the 'Brexit paperwork' has been dealt with.

I decided to jump straight into a sale and to add a limited amount of the newest release (below). By all the messages I've received I think I didn't order enough so I will be ordering more next week.

30% off, no code needed. The sale goes through to Sunday.
Also, I have some sets that are overstocked and need to make some room so they have been marked down to 40% off.

I'd like to now introduce the newest additions to the JD family.

Road Trip

How stinking adorable are they???

I already shared this card using Hope (sentiment if from All Occasions).

Hope

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a little peek and an update of a special release.
Many of you know about the digital stamp I added to the shop to raise money to help out the cities and surrounding villages that were devastated by the earthquake here in Croatia in December.

I decided to create a stamp set which I will also donate $7 off of each stamp set sold. I'm expecting this set to come soon. I do apologize for many sets being out of stock. They are on their way. It's just taking longer due to the situation we are all in and also Brexit slowed down things just a bit.

Here's my card, I love creating bouquets on my cards. The sentiment is from All Occasions.

Here's another little project using Sweater Weather that Milka can't stop making. LOL

Hope

Hello!

I want to thank all of you AGAIN for helping me raise money to help the cities, villages and people devasted by the earthquakes in Croatia. I first mentioned I would donate the money to the Red Cross. I started to read on Instagram some complaints about the Red Cross not doing their job properly. I'm only going to say this. There will always be those who will take advantage of situations like these but to generalize and say all who volunteer in the Red Cross are stealing is ridiculous. My advice to those who are throwing temper tantrums and trolling the Red Cross is to go to the affected areas, put on the red uniform and set an example.

So like I said, I was conflicted about what do to because I want everyone to be happy with the donation. This is your money and I wanted to be intentional to show my gratitude.  I've talked to many people, neighbours who went to Pentrinja, Sisak and the surrounding villages to hand out supplies and I'm happy to see that they have received loads of clothing, blankets, food, etc. Many countries (Greece, Germany, Austria, Italy...) have come with trucks full of supplies. I think the biggest concern and long term problem is rebuilding these cities. If there are no more schools, hospitals, people will leave.

So. I saw this video.

Together we donated 6,400 kuna (which is around $1,040 USD).

The digital Hope is still in the shop and I will leave it there for now. There's a little under $300 from the Hope digital stamp in Jane's Doodles paypal. I will share the next donation with you of course. Please continue to share. I'm a tiny stamp company with a small following in comparison to other stamp companies so I'm very grateful to you all who shared this digital stamp on your social media. I also love seeing your cards using the digital stamp.
Thank you, thank you and thank you.
You all have blessed me.

Now, speaking of Hope here's Milka's beautiful and simple card.

hope + new design team member

Hello!

Before we get into today's gorgeous card by our newest design team member I'd like to say once again thank you to all who purchased my Hope digital stamp. I will leave it in the shop and will donate all the money towards the victims of the earthquakes here in Croatia.

I felt one this morning which was 4.7 in Petrinja (one of the cities devasted by the earthquakes). They are having aftershocks almost every hour. Yesterday Zagreb had an earthquake of 2.7. It was load and short, felt like an explosion.

I will be making the first donation today, will share it on Instagram.

On to today's card.

Hello, JD Friends! I've recently joined the Jane's Doodles Design Team and I'm happy to share my first post in 2021 with you today. You may remember me from the Challenge team last year. I am happy to be back and sharing new ideas and inspiration using products designed by Jane's Doodles

I was moved by Jane's efforts to raise funds for the cities of Sisak and Petrinja in Croatia. These cities experienced devastation from recent earthquakes. I immediately purchased the beautiful floral digital download, called Hope for Charity that Jane created and put on sale in the store. For $5 you can purchase this floral spray to use. All proceeds go to help with the relief efforts in Croatia. It's a kind way to enjoy your craft and help others out, too.

For my card, I used a slimline style card base measuring 3-1/2" wide X 8-1/2" tall. I added a faux plankboard pattern paper to the bottom 2/3 of the front panel of this white card base. I printed my floral bouquet on Neenah 80lb cardstock as well as additional leaves and individual peonies to add to the bouquet.

To color my card, I used the following Copic Marker colors:

Yellows: YR24, YR21, Y38, Y18, Y15, Y08

Oranges: YR27, YR24, YR61

Browns: E57

Purples: V12, V09, V06, V05

Greens: YG67, YG63, YG61, YG03

I attached the bouquet to the card front using dimensional foam tabs and tucked the additional leaves and flowers behind the center bouquet. The phrase was stamped and added to the card as well as sequins in yellows, rose pink and oranges.

I will be sending this card to a friend of mine who lost her mom last Sunday. It's nice to be able to send a handmade hug to a friend while helping others across the world in need. Here's a link to Jane's Doodles to download your stamp and give back, too!
