'tis the season

Today I'm sharing a cute little Christmas gift tag using Winter Words, Pumpkin Patch and Hot Cocoa.
I usually struggle using pattern paper when making cards but not when making gift tags. Go figure. :)

I'm hoping to receive a shipment by the end of this week (for sure Monday) and I will be restocking some Christmas sets and adding a brand new one. Can't wait to share.

bundle of joy + giveaway!

Hello!

CUTENESS on the blog today! Marion's created this adorable tag using my Special Delivery stamp set. My father bought me my first teddy bear (looked like the one in this stamp set) while my mom was pregnant with me. It was pink and my mom said what if it's a boy....my dad said I know it's a girl. :)

Most of my stamp sets are bits and bobs of my life (like the little story above) and to celebrate this memory (which is even more so special since my dad passed away when I was 21 and never saw me got married etc. although I believe with all my heart that he was with me on that day and that he held my babies before God blessed me with them) I'd like to giveaway one of my Special Delivery stamps sets.

So if you'd like to win this set please leave a comment and I'll choose a winner on Monday.

chalkboard gift tags and Seamus

Hello!

I'm so running behind this year...I just got back from Christmas shopping! Yes you read that right! It's just been a never ending cycle of flu, colds, Adrian in the hospital and now Jakov and Mia have ear infections (took them to the doctor's last night!)...anyways I mentioned these chalkboard gift tags I made below...I just used my white gel pen and some white ink to distress it to make it look like chalkboard. For the Christmas tree I just doodled it. The snowman is from a set I designed for the German company Efco. I just stamped it with white ink (or embossing ink if you don't have white) and traced over it with my pen. So if you can't draw or doodle you can use your stamps....just make sure it's not a very intricate design because it will be difficult and a bit messy when you trace over the lines with the white gel pen.

Here's a card I made this morning using my Seamus stamp set and a SRM sticker. I coloured with my Graph'it markers.

I will announce the winners of both my giveaways tomorrow.

december

Hello!

I'm getting together with some of my crafty friends soon and to get some ideas on some Christmas projects we can can do I turned to Pinterest and found this pin which has all my favourite Christmas elements - red and white colour combo and chalkboard art.

I love this red and white stripe pattern...reminds me of candy canes!!

I used my Stripes and Dots stamp set to create my stripe pattern and my Warm Wishes (which is on sale....50% off people!!) to create my chalk board image. I heat embossed the snowman with white embossing powder and distressed with some white ink.

I added a SRM sticker (December).

Have a great day!

faux shaker tag

Hello!
Hope all is well!

Fever has found it's newest victim in my home...Marko (my oldest) now is sick...I'm just exhausted!

Anyways I wanted to share this gift tag I created...my intention was to make a shaker tag but I didn't like how the foam adhesive was showing so I decided to make a faux shaker tag! :)

I basically did everything I would making a shaker card/tag only I didn't add the foam so the sequins can't really move...it does just a bit! :)

I used my Warm Wishes and Mr. and Mrs. Claus stamp sets and coloured with my Graph'it markers.

Have a great day!
