IT IS OKAY TO BE PICKY!

Your first job should be beneficial for you and the employer.  It should be a win-win situation whereas you contribute your knowledge, skills and sweat and in return you get your hard earned reward.  If you are needed to stay back to do extra work, do not hesitate to ask if you would be paid because you are not doing a charity work! You are working to feed yourself and other responsibilities.  If you do not ask if you are paid to do extra work and you wait for some time, you might face difficulties to claim your OT.

YOU ARE A HUMAN NOT A ROBOT

You are entitled for sick leaves and emergency leaves, human have problems that need to be settle especially if it concerning your health and family.  Company should not question why you need to take sick leaves and emergency leaves, you are not a robot! People get sick, people have family and people sure do have problems. If your employer started being nosy and give excuses to not letting you go, clearly they have issues.  It is not as if you do not complete your job, wise people would do extra work and try to complete pending works as much as they can so that they will not be burden when they come back to work from leave, because if you are ignorant and take leaves as you like you will be in hot seat in the end.

REWARDS OVER RECOGNITION

When we were little, our parents would buy us candies after we complete house chores to teach us that we have to work hard to get something we want.  It is nice to get a pat on the back for doing a good job but it is much nicer if we get rewards.  As for me, I could not care less about recognition because when you are being recognized for something especially in working environment, people tend to be jealous and started questioning if you really deserve it.  They will start comparing you and surely talk behind your back and act all nice in front of you but really they are trying to desert you. Thus, it is nicer if you get paid rather than recognition because salary is a secret deal between you and employer.

GAIN EXPERIENCE, AVOID STUCK BEING A TRAINEE

My mistake is that I straight away furthering my degree after completing my diploma.  It is normal thing to do as people around me are doing the same thing.  As I'm the eldest, I experienced mistakes a lot as I do not have examples to teach me not to.  My younger siblings are much more fortunate because mistakes happening around me enable them to take into consideration not to follow my footsteps.  It should be right after diploma, I started looking for experience working for at least a year, then quit and gave 'furthering studies' as excuse.  As right now, I can see the trend is that employers tend to hire people with impressive experience rather than impressive education qualification.  If you are a fresh graduate with none experience whatsoever lucky for internship, then you are definitely in trouble finding jobs.  You will be consider as trainee for some period of time with a contract stated if you improve the employer will hire you as permanent employee but not all of them do, they will make excuses saying you are not improving enough and you need extra training time and you will be stuck as the trainee with little pay but work as if you are fully paid.  Then you started realizing this is the company way to cut cost and it will be difficult for you to get away. With a piece of paper of contract between you and the employer, you would not stand a chance to fight for your right in the court of justice because these companies got years of experience to build back up plans to save their asses! Not to mention expensive lawyers.

So, there you have it, a piece of mind to share.  Save your sorry ass before it is too late.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Action sure speaks louder than words, it is useless to make empty promises of the sweetest things there are out there if one do not oblige to fulfill them. What you say, you must fulfill...once you didnt, people may not take notice, the second you didnt, people may take notice but do nothing, perhaps the third time you didnt, people may avoid you and stamp you simply as liar. If finally you decided to turn into new leaf, it is hard to gain trust and people have a hard time believing you.

Thus, it is not wise to lie. It is annoying and rude and disappointing once people found out! You would set bad examples to those around you especially people who are younger than you. As if you are saying it is okay to say those things, lie a bit to get away from a sticky situation, in fact, you are running from your responsibility. Set good examples and stop talking nonsense and lie about things. If you do, you make others suffer from your own doings, you letting people down, you build negative character, you will suffer in the end...

super sweet birthday!

Hello there...

It's been days since my 24th birthday last Wednesday. I've received tons of wishes from loved ones that made me feel over the rainbow. There are surprises that made my heart melt and jump!

Every birthday I had was unforgettable and people I loved keep adding up. I love birthdays (altho it made you older,nvm...)

Talking about birthdays, have you ever watched MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen? If you don't, go ahead Google it!...maybe later? Anyway, MTV's MSSS is a cool reality tv show where teens go over the top preparing for their 16th birthday (hence, the name of the show). MTV viewers get the chance to see all the drama behind the scenes that takes place in the preparation of the party from sending out the invitations to surprise birthday gifts that mostly involve luxury 4-wheelers (yes, I'm taking about them cars). Your jaws will drop to see these teens top each other by throwing birthday parties that exceed expectations. After seeing each episode, I will automatically daydreaming what MSSS will be like.

blogging is cool

Do you experience the times when you decided to kill your time by surfing the internet but you don't know what to surf?

I don't.

Because I find going online super! My curiosity level is dangerously high (if only it can be applied during lectures time...haha). When I surf the internet, I will open so many pages of celebrity gossips, random facts, jokes (my fave), facebooking, current issues, youtube and of course my blog and googling. I even read on sports! Therefore, it really get on my nerves when the connection is seriously slow. Thanks to the people who invented internet, salute!

My friends just don't understand why I can go online 24/7, they said that after facebooking and searching for information for assignments, they just don't know what to do next. They find it weird that I can go crazy when I go online (crazy in a good way). My only answer to them is, BLOG. Do one. It really helps when you have brilliant or even dumb things in your mind, pour it out in your blog. There's no limit, of course you have to be careful what you blog on because you don't want to end up offending people and face a lawsuit.

Why blogging is so cool:

1. Brings out idea to the public.

2. You can get something off your chest.

3. Share random thoughts like.."have you ever wonder......."

4. Show off your skills such as your own recipes, artwork, etc.

5. Promote and sell stuff.

6. Asking for help to solve problems, by asking for solutions or opinions.

9. Promote awareness like "STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY".

There are many reasons why blogging is cool. One of the reasons why I blog is to keep my friends update about myself.

hairsytle:this or that?

lately,im so bugged with question on should i change my hairstyle?i meant to do something with my hair since early 2008 but i kept holding it back because im not sure whether i should stay with my current hairstyle or should i change it..

if i stay with this current hairstyle..im stuck with the same look for the past 3 years
if i change my current hairstyle..im afraid im gonna regret changing it

i never trust hairstylists' suggestions because ive listened to them twice and i ended up hiding my hair or i refuse to be seen by public for the first 2 months..there wont be a third time!

kiki is well now...she has fully recovered..

kiki is farah's cat..lately she's been very sick, shes got this cut behind her near her private area that makes her depressed and refuse to eat. poor kiki..

i seriously love mcD's BIG MAC and french fries..

special posting for one of my fave things to eat..whenever i stop by at mcD, i would definitely order BIG MAC..so far, i havent try mega max because by just eating BIG MAC, i cant eat no more for the day..so big, so delicous, so tasty, so yummy..heavenly!! recently i hangout with farah and another friend, hanafi..and he belanja us mkn mcD because we are so sick of eating nasi everyday..we were in Holiday Plaza and went window shopping for perfumes and guess's bags..i still remember when i was little, my parents used to take me there and we would eat mcD, i practically grow up with mcD's french fries..

oh yes, BIG MAC is delicious and heavenly yummy..but u have to watch what u put inside your mouth, if taken seriously often, your thighs will become so big it will burst!!(just like you pop a balloon)..
