HAM WALL

Whenever we visit our daughter in Bristol we always make a point of dropping in to Ham Wall on the way up, primarily for Hairy Dragonfly. We saw a few but always in the tops of trees and never dropping down for a photo. Never the less we had a great days birding and even managed a very distant record shot of the Red-Footed Falcon that's been hanging around for quite some time.

DORSET

We had a few days in Dorset, hoping for Chalkhill Blue. We went to 5 or 6 recommended
sites but no luck but I did take what I think was our only Adonis (a first for us)  which was
promptly flushed by a dog. Also, it was only the second time that we have seen Little Blue.
We did manage to see a few Lulworth Skipper, our first in this country.
We also went to Throop Mill for Brown Hawker and saw at least a
dozen (also a first) but they never once landed so no pictures.
