Goats on the horizon

Some cards really make me smile…..

a lovely neighbour likes watching the goats in the field opposite our houses

I used a background paper and lots of bits from On the Horizon

Fussy cut the goats……they often climb on top of their hut and ramps etc…
and obviously they ate the cake 😂

And he loved it….phew!

Tulips and nature

I was asked to make a card for a friend, something I rarely agree to,

as I can’t take the pressure 🥵,

but on this occasion I agreed….

The brief was 40th Birthday with a love of nature and tulips.

Out came a favourite Grove die, and New Horizons DSP,
along with some Gummiapan dies.
So the background is designer series paper…..
wouldn’t have had time to make my own and this paper is retired I think, but awesome.

Layered up different greens using a grass die, and two greens using the Grove die frame.
The deer are from the Grove dies, the pot, tulips, birds, hedgehog, snail and tufts of grass Gummiapan.
I used Blend pens to colour tulips and bits, and a bit of glitter glue for the snail trail…..😃

I hope you have a good weekend wherever you are

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Split card

A quick and easy card today, using a new set of dies,

And that fabulous (retired) new horizons paper

I think this would work with any papers, or by making your own

I fussy cut the large greeting, and die cut the grid overlay

Love the zingy lime in the paper matches my background trees :)

Have a happy day

New Horizon for June Rudolph Day

Today's card is for the Rudolph Day Challenge,

always on the 25th of the month

I took these photos in slightly different light.....it is definitely hard for me to get a true colour.

I used one of the New Horizon papers again.....this time stamping some trees,
then adding an overlaid die cut one.

Christmas needs bling, so glue and glitter came out,
along with some decorative dots.

Happy Rudolph Day

Final New Horizon

You may be pleased this is the last card showcasing the New Horizon paper!
I do wonder if I got a bit obsessed with this set!

Another beautiful background paper, on which I stamped birds and trees.
I used some scrap paper as a mask and used the trees again, but as bushes!

Some more stamped grass overlaid with die cut grass, which is also stamped on for more interest.
Sahara sand fence, with a pink twine bow to match the paper.
I wish you could see this in real life..........oh and I used some more pebbles :)

I must give credit to everyone for all the fabulous ideas I found on the internet,
too many of you to mention, but I am so grateful you shared your projects,
and provided me with many hours of fun.
THANK YOU!

New Horizon (6)

A couple more paper designs using different die cuts.

I used Sailing Home for the boat and sentiment.

I love the mountains in the set. This set is so versatile and has so many useful elements.
Above is the outline mountain die cut in white, which is laid over the paper.

Below I used a friends die on one of the more subtle papers.
I thought it reflected the shape of the trees,
in my head anyway ;)

New Horizon (5)

I hope you find some inspiration for the New Horizon paper if you have any.

This mini series may help if you have other scenic papers too.

This one looks like you need two sheets of the same paper,

but it is just one sheet....

Die cut a panel from the centre, then mount onto contrasting card stock,
you then place that onto the base card over the remaining sheet,
so it hides where you "gutted" it from.

Initially I left it there........

Then decided to use this image from Beautiful Moments, which I stamped, coloured and fussy cut.

Enjoy your day

On The Horizon take four

Sorry I'm back again with those papers :)

An almost full sheet again, so square, but this time I stamped some wading birds.

The pape does all the work again, but I did add some reflection under the waders

I then sponged a circle to make a sun, backed with some twine.

Above you can see I used orange and yellow on the circle,
and I added a strip of paper on the inside right.
The card blank had a fancy design down the right hand side, so I trimmed it off.

Have a good day

New Horizons take three

 Hello again

Today is a square card, showing another way of using a quarter of a 6" x 6" design

I can see how different the light affects photos, as the one below doesn't look the same colour!

The fence this time is cut from sahara sand, and two layers of grass add depth.

The knot was an idea from Cary of http://2biggirlscrafting.blogspot.com/
Do go visit as Cary and Gill have loads of inspiration.
Living in the countryside we often see gates tied with string :)
A bit of stamping on the card base adds a bit more interest,
and obviously a couple of pebbles snuck in :) :) :)

Enjoy your day

New Horizons take two

 Another New Horizons paper........

this time a white fence stamped with the wood planks stamp, to give the effect of textured wood.

A basic fold matted onto dark blue card.
The grass die is almost as fabulous as the fence- it's layered to give depth here.
A few of my fave pebbles scattered, and a small flock of birds........
the paper does all the rest!

New Horizons

Hello
I hope all is well in your world....if not, maybe you can escape here for a  minute at least.

I just adore the New Horizon paper, it's 6" x 6", has so many gorgeous designs,
and it's a shame it won't be available much longer.
This is my favourite design.......so I just cut snippets off to make a square gate fold.
The fence was die cut from soft suede, and do you see those pebbles?......
I had to have a few packs of those!.........My favourite product, possibly ever!
The papers are so awesome, some need no decoration at all.

Enjoy your weekend

Snow in spring for Rudolph Day

Hi there, Rudolph Day again....25th of April.....and a chance to catch up with christmas cards!

I paired this cute snowman with New Horizons paper.
I left a gap between the papers to stamp the greeting.
I fussy cut him, and his snowballs, and stamped a flock of birds.

I then made an all white card using some cute rabbit friends,
all stamped directly.

I added some gems and snowy ground, winked with some glitter.

Did you see the teeny birds on his twiggy hands?
The set from a friend has lots of individual images for scene building.

Hopefully I'll see you over at the Rudolph Day Challenge!

On The Horizon

I have been loving the On The Horizon Bundle, which sadly will retire soon.

The papers are fabulous for creating backgrounds of all kinds.

Use the whole 6" x 6" sheets, partial, cut into four, and use any offcuts for
die cutting or decorating inside or on your envelopes

Above shows work in progress, I've stamped on the paper, and added die cuts.
Below I added an extra panel to fit a standard card base.
