Back in August we went on a great vacation with awesome friends! We went to Oahu with Megan and Jason Davis and Kristen and Danny Boyle. I was so nervous for the plane ride, like I always am, but as you can see miss Laney was so excited!
Here we are getting ready for the long five hour journey.
This is a park that we walked through almost everyday and night to get to restauants, beaches, and shopping. We became very familiar with this walk. I loved it that we took the same route every time. It was very peaceful to me. (Maybe the beautiful surroundings had something to do with it)

We were starting to realize that we were being lazy photographers. So Jason was getting the camera ready.
I love this picture! It really captures how beautiful everything was there. I would love to have one of these trees in my yard one day. Hmm, need to do some research on what kind of tree it is.
This was the view from our room! It was so pretty! The rooms had these huge windows that opened up to make it feel as if you were still outside.
Here is our first day at the beach. We were all anxious to cool off in the water.

Here is our first dinner. We picked this restaurant because Megan had eaten here before and was raving about the best artichokes EVER. So we decided to give it a try and of coarse when we get there they are sold out of the artichokes! Oh well, maybe next time.

Now you'd think that a pool in Hawaii would have a nice comfortable temperature right?
Wrong! Thae water was totally ice cold! Laney and I were a bit shocked when we surfaced from the water. We spent the rest of the time in the spa!

Dukes for dinner! We had an awesome server that night. It made our dinner so pleasant.
Now this is no ordinary dessert. Justin and I have been looking forward to this dessert for nearly 5 years since our Honeymoon in Maui. It's the kona pie. It has macadamia nut ice cream with an Oreo cookie crust whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top. Heaven!!!!!!! We all devoured it in seconds.

The next day we had our rental car and took a scenic drive around the Island. Here we are at a pretty picture spot.

We stopped here to take a break from the car drive. It was simply gorgeous. I could have stayed here forever.
