Butterfly Daisy Bundle by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  Hope you are well.  This summer has been rough for me because I had a total knee replacement on June 27.  The first two weeks were an absolute nightmare but I am now able to walk with a cane.

This is the first card that I have made since my surgery.  This beautiful image is Butterfly Daisy by Conie Fong which I coloured with Copic markers.  I added some grass to the image, and clear Wink of Stella to her wings for a lovely sparkle.  Here is my Design Team card:

Conie Fong has a Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design.  You will find some truly wonderful inspiration there by the Design Team members and other crafters.

That's all from me today.  I wish you a wonderful day.  Until next time, Lori xx

Art Nouveau Bloom by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  Welcome to today's post.  The theme this week on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is

DOTS/CIRCLES

I chose the lovely Art Nouveau Bloom by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps for my Design Team card.

This sweetie is coloured with a combination of Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I cut the butterfly border to fit the width of the card.  Then, I inked it and added some Swarovski crystals to the bodies of the butterflies.

Rose by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  I hope you are all well.  Two weeks ago, northern United States experienced a dangerous arctic blast.  I nearly fell out of my bed when I woke up one morning, checked my phone, and saw that the temperature was -20 degrees.  Yikes!  Luckily, the temperatures warmed up considerably.

This week's theme on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is:

LACE and/or FLOWERS

These are two of my favourite embellishments and so I included both on my card.  I used the gorgeous Rose image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.

I used Copic markers to colour this beauty.  The lace was originally white but I dyed it yellow with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.  The flowers are handmade.

If you would like to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, please visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  While there, how about joining in the fun?  There are some wonderful prizes to be won.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a lovely day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Butterfly Daisy by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  I hope you had a happy weekend.  Is it really almost the end of July?  Time sure flies!  I decided to create a monochromatic card this time.  I used Conie Fong's stunning "Butterfly Daisy" image, found here:

There are four more images included with this image.  As usual, I used Copics and Polychromos to colour this lovely image.  The cherry blossom is handmade while the other flowers are by I Am Roses.  I applied clear Wink of Stella to the fairy's wings and the butterfly's wings.

I made this DT card for Conie's current monthly Facebook challenge.  She also has a Colouring Only challenge.  We would love to see your creations.

Thank you very much for visiting, and I hope to see you again.  Hugs, Lori xx

Butterfly Fairy Curtsy by Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps

Hello, dear friends!  There's a new challenge starting today on the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.
The theme is "Anything Goes".  Here is my DT inspiration:

Isn't she lovely?  The image is "Butterfly Fairy Curtsy", found in Vera's esty shop here:

This sweet fairy is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I found the free scrabble tiles on the Internet.  I printed the letters that I needed and fussy cut them.  A bit of a challenge because they are so tiny...LOL.  Then, I coloured them and raised them with 3-D foam.

Thank you for visiting.  I really appreciate it.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Foliage:      Cottage Cutz "Greenery" dies
Flowers:      I Am Roses and Love Nicole (large blue flower)

Butterfly Sprite

Hello, peeps!

The theme of the current challenge over at the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog is "Anything Goes".  I decided to use the gorgeous "Butterfly Sprite with Simple Wings" image.  I love this image and I have used it a number of times.  You can find it in Mitzi's etsy shop here:
and here:

It is also available in both shops in PNG format, and with fancy wings in both JPG and PNG formats.

I have coloured this glorious image with Copic markers and FB Polychromos pencils.  I made the large flower with Sue Wilson's "Striped Nasturtiums" die and the smaller flowers with punches.  I glittered her wings but it's hard to see.

The border at the top is Heartfelt Creations' "Regal Borders and Pockets" die.  Swarovski crystals, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.  Here is a close-up:

I wish you a lovely weekend!  Lori P  xx
